17 I am writing to express my utmost satisfaction and gratitude for the outstanding service provided by Toni at Placemakers Westgate. I recently had the pleasure of interacting with Toni when I urgently required a RHS shower door instead of LHS for my home renovation project. I am delighted to share my experience and commend Toni for going above and beyond to ensure my needs were met efficiently and effectively.
Within 30 mins of discussing my requirements with Toni, I was astonished to hear she had successfully located the exact shower door (RHS) I needed. What impressed me the most was that Toni had gone the extra mile and personally reached out to the manufacturer's warehouse to secure the product for me. I purchased a shed before Christmas, after being told it was a week away. Once the order was placed I was informed it was a month away as it was an MTO.
Once the shed finally turned up, I then was paying $309 to get it delivered. 1st delivery was the shed and the base.
3 weeks later after Christmas I hired a builder to put the shed together, he came to site to put it together. After building the base he opened the shed box up to find no channels. I contacted Sonia, who was my 1st point of contact and she said it was only 2 parcels no more and she'd contact manufacturer. After several hours I had to let my builder go as I'd not heard back. He charged me for his time.
I finally heard back from Sonia she said the channels were in their yard, as to why they hadn't been delivered at the time of the shed was not discussed. When they turned up 2 days later (2 days later than promised) I couldn't get my builder back, he was fully booked for the next 2 months and the channels had a delivery date to PM Westgate of 14DEC22. So it was there the whole time. There was no apology as to why it was not delivered as part of the initial delivery, it was a 3 part delivery not 2 as previously thought. I asked Sonia about compensation for the fact that I had to send my builder away and that I'd paid him. She said she'd have to get an account manager to call me. No one did. I emailed her twice and contacted Tracey via phone to ask for further support. I've not heard from anyone at Place Makers. The post sale service is dreadful. No explanations no one taking accountability for delays in supply of goods and that it cost me financially for someone to put it together and couldn't.
It's not good enough that no one has contacted me, but that you just ignore the customer is the worst thing. I work is a service industry, and never would it be acceptable to just ignore a customer and hope they go away without resolving the issue.
An update to this review, is that Hayden contacted me a week after I posted my 1 star review. And I'm more than satisfied with the outcome and resolution that we have come to. And appreciate the opportunity to move forward. This means alot. Many thanks Hayden.
Good store but service is pretty poor. Either no staff at counter or they just too busy with someone else and ignore you
Wonderful staff who went out of their way to write down product and its price with a lovely smile. Thankyou ladies for your help. I will be back.
Terrible service, Kevin the guy that restock the shelves is just to rude, not keen to help at all
Store staff is really helpful but click and collect items always late. Estimated time on website is 2-5 working days but took more than two weeks and no contact from anyone. You guys really need to improve promise time on click and collect orders. Just be honest and give customers a call if its late, don't just try to hide out.
We decided to purchase our new kitchen from Placemakers Westgate after meeting their designer Lahari. She provided the advice we needed and her customer skills and follow up was excellent.
The kitchen was delivered as per plan and budget, very happy with the quality and installation went without a hitch.
A great experience and highly recommend.
Open for the trade in lock down. You rippers. Easy scan in with the covid app. Social distancing to be observed but apart from that business as usual. Oh don't forget your bandana or mask to keep the staff safe.

The customer seevice is exceptional. They always make sure you are taken care of with the products they stock. The store is tidy esp with the new layout. Jan and Megan were a delight to deal with. Thanks again.
Probably the worst customer service I’ve experienced at a hardware store, from the old guy in paint. It’s like he was angry I was there, maybe a racial thing. Back to mitre 10
Worst customer experience ever, a old guy called Kevin and Sonia in the front desk told me to go somewhere else with a aggressive approach when I said the timber was not of good grade and when it said it was a premium grade, They also overcharged me and when I complained, I was told not to annoy them as they did not know how to use the system to give credit, also I was told to only come Monday to Friday to buy stuff as only then they had staff that could use the computer system, their knowledge of goods is so limited, shocking customer experience, worse than third world, not going there ever again, they were rude, arrogant and disrespectful
Kevin was extremely rude and discriminatory towards myself and my coworker. He was happy to serve Caucasian customers but to ourselves he was rude and spoke down to us when we asked a simple question. Anytime we spoke he was extremely rude and would misspell words he had spelt to him correctly. Not a happy customer, felt really discriminated against.
Very poor service. 3 guys at the counter with no other customers in the store and not one said hello or asked if i needed help. When i approached an old bald white male for help he proceeded to be too busy making an Easter promotional sign to help me. Very dismissive and rude. Must be why the shop is constantly empty
Got ourselves a new oven from here. Was a quick and easy buy. Staff were great. Knew everything we needed to know about what we needed.
Will be back to buy the rest of our kitchen here when we refit in the near future.
Staff were very helpful especially the man in the yard and big thankyou to the lady who spotted my wallet left on the counter. However I'm concerned that I was not credited for the 30 stainless soakers ($100) I returned and were received by Kevin. I will be very happy once the credit is paid out.
Service unfriendly wanted to view kitchen appliances. Asked when I could view that area. I was told very arrogantly "when it's finished" went to Mitre 10 and received x10 better service
Great staff helpful as.i even saw a guy who spoke english, german and Korean i think.very cool. Good specials and prices. Good yardsmen
