Terrible service, terrible staff, no product knowledge and just plain rude.
Bunnings and mitre10 are so much better.
Don't waste your time with placemakers

Poor service no selection and no one appears to be a aware of what products they do carry

Went there once and likely won't go again. Staffs were ignorant and not very welcoming. They were talking (not work related) to each other while customers were waiting.

Great friendly help. Team in the timber department were awesome, very helpful, the service inside was just as good.

I help built this a couple years back but the staff here are real helpful and a delight so win win

Went on the off chance the particular product I needed was stocked, not only was it stocked, it was on special, what more could an accidental bargain hunter want.

PlaceMakers is a pretty good hardware store. Come here for all your hardware needs. This store is very good with a great range and top quality service. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and can answer all your questions other than where to buy a money tree.

9Nov16 Absolutely brand new hardware and building supplies store with parts of its carparking and driveways still under final construction. Located in the heart of an Alfriston arterial road: Porchester Road anticipating plenty of local business and growth as hundreds of new houses are built. A Mobil service station is attached - see photos - but not open yet.

Hi to the new Placemakers team at Takanini. I just had the most AMAZING help from one of your team. Jessica.is incredible, not only did she understand my odd question but she went out of her way to assist. Thank you Placemakers for finally getting staff that are knowledgeable and understand what they are talking about. 5 Stars Jessica and Placemakers Takanini.

Very disappointed with opening hours
Store was closed on Sunday 23/4/17
As all other branches were open.
Mt Wellington Pacemakers are the best in Auckland
Best staff, best customer service and Quality service.
I will never use Takanini branch ever. Bunch of time wasters.
Total Rubbish.
