PlaceMakers Cook Street reviews
18This PlaceMakers might be small, but it makes up for in location! Right in the CBD! Certified Milwaukee dealers.
Wasted my time, picked up order on behalf of my Dad. There were two invoices, guy only checked one, gave us one item. We asked where the second one was he said he had no idea, didn't bother checking anything said it wasn't there.
We called up later after confirming we had paid for the second item and it was ready for pick up, women who answered the phone also had no idea. Said text reference was useless wasn't helpful.
We had to drive to store again to talk to a competent employee behind the counter. Lovely guy with ginger hair, more useful than the actual men in the warehouse, found our item and gave it to us.
Please train your warehouse staff to actually look properly and read invoices and not waste our time when we come to pickup.
They also don't accept credit cards apparently.
There's an older staff member with impeccably manners and a friendly disposition. He's tall and helpful.
Always good service but grumpy gate man needs to cheer up as he brings down the final experience as you’re leaving.
I was there today.
Both the assistant were very helpful, Brian was knowledgeable and did more than required to help with advice and product.
Great to get good service.
I will go back there again
Awesome friendly staff. Look out for Eric and Ricky, two of the most knowledgeable guys around.
Incredibly inefficient, and fairly expensive
But friendly and helpful staff, and a pretty convenient location
Excellent Service, speedy, fast, gets me the products I'm looking for - thank you! Very happy to recommend.
Small range and lady on front counter not very welcoming or friendly to be honest.
If you're spending your hard earned money at least they can do is smile
I needed a large washer and the Placemakers wad the only shop which had it, though the prices were a bit sharp.
Was a good spot to stop and pick up a few small tools, reccomend the other placemakers for Building Materials as this one is Quite small and compact.
Friendly staff, limited parking space especially during peak hours. Only have limited variety for parts but tools are quite well stocked.
Convenient location but it would be nice if they had even one cycle park given their central location.
False advertising.sent promo emails but when in stock told "not available" and to come again next week
A smaller trade store. Staff are very friendly and experienced. The range is heavily trade focused however its limited due to size of the store.
Tried to buy 8 boxes of face masks and was denied. Was told “your kind of people are buying these and selling them elsewhere at a ridiculous price”.
I contacted them to order trellis battens that they do not have in stock. They only give me the option to transfer the trellis battens from Wairau store as long as I pay $95 for shipping to cook street store (the cost of the trellis is $76)
Generally it is nice place, good choice of tools and materials, but sometimes pacific consultants could be just a bit more than useless
