Fantastic knowledge & friendly team! They listened & provided the solution in a well laid out and user friendly store & they remembered us when we came back in, highly recommend this business & if you need advise on all pool & spa related issues/concerns they should be your first call!

I have been going to Poolside for over 12 years and they have a wonderful team with attentive service and helpful knowledge.
They are a true partner rather than just a supply store.

I recently bought a new pool. I was very proud of it and wanted to keep it in perfect condition. I also wanted to protect my investment and keep my pool chemistry within the warranty conditions.

I thought getting a regular professional pool valet would be a great idea – I still think it is but I am regretting my choice. On the very first visit, after identifying that the pool was 0.5ppm below the agreed chlorine limit, Poolside added 2kg of chorine to my salt water pool. This not only caused one of my family to experience 6 hours of pain and discomfort, but it stopped me from being able to use the pool for 5 days (and counting). It also put the pool chemistry significantly outside the warranty conditions of the pool shell, pump, fitter and heater.
I raised this with Poolside but their valet manager was not overly keen at communicating – I did get the bill, but working out a plan to sort out the issue did not seem front of mind. In fact, at the time of writing this I have only received email responses to my request for information. No one has had the decency to give me a call. The team have repeatedly said they 'don’t understand how this happened'. They 'did everything right'. They even sent me the original pool testing results in their defence. Unfortunately, this clearly recommends 450g of chlorine – I feel that adding nearly 5 times that amount of chlorine may be a big part of the problem. Pools are a huge investment and Poolside have not only put that investment at risk; but, they have also prevented me from being able to use the pool.

My recommendation to pool owners… Look after your pool…. Get the professionals in … Just don’t let it be this crowd.

My recommendation to Poolside… People and companies make mistakes - That's life. However, when you do, own it; and then, focus on what you can do to fix it.

The photo below is my test carried out 4 days after the 2kg of chlorine was applied and 14 hours after chlorine reducer had been applied. The colour was described as 'an orange hue' by the valet manager and I was told to be patient.

Rather than to vent frustration I used this avenue to warn others of how dismissive your company was to its responsibilities as a pool service provider and under the HSE Act. You are regarded as a PCBU by the HSE Act. In providing your services you incorrectly added nearly 5 times the dose of a hazardous substance resulting in an injury to one of my family; but, it appears that that is not important enough for you to give me a call and talk through the issue.

Prior to writing my original review I made the following contact with your company:

• I spoke to you, and you promised action - Unfortunately you took little visible ownership so things just drifted on.

• I emailed your Valet Manger three times and only received emails back telling me that I need to be patient. Just one call would have gone a long way.

• I emailed asking for the owner to give me a ring. To date that call has never come.

In your response you falsely claim that he problem was resolved. Actually, it took another 24 hours and the intervention of a second pool company to get my pool back to a useable condition. I am pleased to report that inspite of the assistance from Poolside North Shore my automatic chlorination system is keeping the pool in great condition.

They advertised they were open, but they were not. Went to para rubber and they were awesome. I'll be going there in future.

A reply to your reply. I thought I had pressed 4 star, as when I have been in your shop, your service has been great. But I guess just a heads up, And I know it's a lot to remember when your details are posted in multiple places. But as a customer, finding a required service open was gold, only to find after driving all the way there in holiday traffic that it isn't, is ajust bit frustrating.

Really like the self clean system, no hassle at all. And with very good service every 2 or 3 months to guarantee the balance of the water, then you just enjoy swimming all the time.

It’s just shocking to me that this business is providing unsuspecting clients with such appalling service. Do not use this company unless you want to have to deal with broken equipment and then rude emails trying to cover themselves. Appalling service all round, terrible customer service. Very expensive gear broken due to their absolute lack of knowledge. Zero responsibility taken on their part. No one there knows what anyone else’s job is. It’s a complete circus, total waste of time and money. If I could give them no stars, I would. So many other amazing companies out there that actually know what they are doing, choose one of them, not this place. The reviews are predominantly all terrible, that should tell you a lot.

Have been a long time customer of Poolside for over 20 years. Had a good attendance during lockdown to filter sand change etc. Early December phoned re a pump replacement, told they would phone back never did. Phoned again next day told they out source their pump work, really for a swimming pool company anyway told a tech would be in contact, never heard back. Bought the pump myself.
Phoned for a tech to visit our solar system, told they were working, but when explained problem, told they were so busy, she couldn't even give a date for the visit. Explained the earlier problem and she said they have been busy and it was holiday season! Also Pool season. It wasn't, it was start of December. After 3 months lock down would have thought would have been keen for business, they seem to be picking what they want to do, very non responsive, and disappointing, will find some one new who wants the business.

Prompt and friendly service, these guys supplied my pool chemicals over lock down. My pool had covid and now it’s double Vaxed!

Finding this company increasingly frustrating to deal with. You have to leave your pool samples at the door and then ring them to collect. We go to the grocery store, we go to the pharmacy and everyone can walk in but at the pool shop you have to right on stickers and leave at the door. Then they take ages to come out and get the samples so you left sitting in the Carpark for half an hour. Truely…… this is not great customer service.

I am a regular customer at Poolside. The staff is very helpful and competent. The store has a good selection of products. The online marketing and follow up with customers sometimes lacks clarity.

Otherwise a great service.

I have no idea HOW these stay in business.wasn’t happy from day one.never on time (if they came at all) and the one time they were on time, didn’t bother to clean the pool! We arrived home that day to a filthy pool (4 weeks since last valet) and 20 guest arriving in 6 hours. Zero response when I tried to get them out to do the job properly.

Never again.fired! And if they get paid it’ll be not by me.

Unfortunately its very hit and miss with this company, most of it comes down to communication or lack of i should say mainly in the service department, most of the testing/sales staff are good bar a few, a bit expensive but will keep using.

Poolside has been looking after our pool for the last year while we were renovating. They were always on time and the pool never looked better! Can definitely recommend them.
