Porterhouse Grill

The food was excellent. Scallops were fresh and done perfectly. Buttery and melt in your mouth. My prime rib had great flavour in the seasoning, a tad underdone from my med-rare request but only just. I did not like the pepper sauce that came with it but the flavour of the steak on it's own was excellent. My partner had the cheddarmelt with a salad and enjoyed it. She really enjoyed the vinaigrette on the salad, said it was zesty which helped cut through the richness of the cheddarmelt. For desserts, we had the chocolate berry cake and lemon tart. The tart crust was really hard and the tart was bitter in some spots but other than that it was really good.

Staff are friendly, though you do have to call them over if you need something, they do not follow up.

The only real negative I'd say was my partner pricked her finger on an exposed nail under her chair.

Food: Loved the food, tasty, and generous portions.
Quick service and friendly wait staff.
Drinks: Wasn't very impressed with the drinks, though. Visually could see only ice, loads of it! Hardly any liquor in my Long Island Ice Tea. 4 sips on the straw and was left with ice and water.

We have been meaning to attend this restaurant for many years and eventually made the decision to go. We accepted that it would be a meat driven meal and looked forward to a good steak. We were not disappointed. The decor, menu etc were a little tired / outdated but this was made up for by the attentive and enthusiastic staff and manager. We will be returning and will invite a group of friends with us too.

I loved the vegeterian menu and that we could offer a variety of dishes to our children. Parking was easy.

Nice friendly staff, nice food, medium cooked steak is like medium rare so ask for next teir of cooking time, otherwise excellent food, will be back

Went for lunch, the BEST steak we’ve had! Pork belly was good, and mock tails were amazing! What made our experience the best was the staff - Michelle & Niko took care of us and we loved every second of it! Thank you Porterhouse Grill, we look forward to seeing you guys again soon!

I was a bit disappointed with my experience here. My friend and I visited yesterday on New Year’s Eve and ordered a T-bone steak and a couple bowls of fries to go with it.

Firstly, the quantity of fries we received was an absolute joke, leading us to buying a second serving. The big issue came with the steak in which we asked for medium-well but when it arrived it was well done. The waitress told us that what we received was correct and in the moment I thought I was the one who was incorrect. However, after doing some research on the internet discovered I was right all along. We sent it back and she confirmed that we were after a medium based on us wanting a little pink inside. Whatever, so we receive it again and this time it is rare as it is still bloody inside. We sent it back again pretty much confirming that we had been deceived in a way and wanted a medium well steak. We eventually received it and it was fine but the quantity of chips, lack of overall presentation and careless mistakes really annoyed the two of us.

On the plus side the customer service was really good, even if there were several misunderstandings. They at least tried which says a lot, as many other restaurants do not even try to resolve problems.

This place is alright, but it was just a let down.

It was a good place to sit and have lunch The service was great and the atmosphere was good as well. The steak was well cooked but the pepper steak sauce was pretty average.

I ate here for dinner and the food was just delicious I ordered the prime rib medium rare and it was a little raw but it was good. The head waiter here was really nice great service overall pretty good.

Food was great, service was slow, had to remind staff to clear the tables after each course, took 1/2 hour of sitting waiting to be served when first arrived, only served once we called a waiter over. Waiters were friendly despite my above observations. Would go back, hopefully service is improved next time and would be a 5 star rating.

The food was fantastic, The only problem is your table were too small, all our food and our drinks squashed on that small table. The service is awesome, thank you.

Have dine here before while under different management's years ago and it was ok. This time thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was quick and the food was well prepared to our liking. To top it off we test drive a few cocktails and boy oh boy it made our night more enjoyable

Very tasty seafood chowder and cocktails. A little disappointed with the kids menu, the ham/cheese pizza & cheeseburger seemed to cater more to an adults taste buds as my children did not like it. Maybe need to tweak the recipe a bit. Overall a nice family friendly restaurant

Place is great and service the only thing which we werent very happy is there entree TUNA TATAKI the serving is like a ‘fine dining ‘only came three small pieces of tuna not worth the price! The rest are all good! If you could change you menu description and states “3 pcs of small slice tuna” we would of not order that!

Fantastic meal. Eye fillet was cooked perfectly. Kid 1 devoured the decent sized burger and kid 2 loved the pizza with potato skins. Service was great too

We had the slow braised beef cheek and the spiced south island salmon. The flavors were spectacular. The beef was perfectly tender and the combination of flavors on the salmon were exquisite. The kids loved their meals from the kids menu and left nothing on their plate. Overall it's a welcoming and nice decor place with very friendly staff. The parking isn't directly outside as the location is at a mall. And for flavor and portion size (not huge but more than enough) the pricing is appropriate.
