All of the food was terrible but service was friendly enough. Definitely wouldn’t come back

Nice atmosphere and delicious grilled steak.

The eye fillet was perfecty cooked and the sauce was very good, definitely a recommended dish. There was a nice atmosphere and the place was cozy and tidy.

I feel bad for the staff because they seemed to struggle and couldn't keep up. My choice of drink was not available and it took a while for the staff to let us know. The same happened with the arancini. We were only told 20 minutes after we ordered our food.

The waiter was very friendly and tried hard at least but I was left with the feeling the uber orders were the priority.

Terribly priced for what I got, paid $24 for a gluten free quattro stagioni which was almost half covered in cheese and had maybe one of each topping per piece if you were lucky, which is really unfortunate since the pizza didn't actually taste that bad but almost a quarter of $100 for such an unsatisfying meal was very disappointing, they seem to have good reviews and my brother liked his food too, so I will give it another chance at some point and hopefully be able to write a better review

Nice meal but unimpressed with extra charges. We had to ask for some parmesan cheese for our pasta & then they charged us extra on the bill. Very poor. The waitress looked like it was the last place she wanted to be, so not great service.

The prices online from their website and actual takeaway prices are different by $3-4 each meal. I’ve paid the difference because hospitality were in struggle for a past couple of years, however, I would think you should’ve waved it. Because the prices direct from you website.
Please update the website before you get more upset customers ‍️
The food is nice, However every time we order, it could’ve been saltier (every time using salt on top). I’ve seen this comment been mention before too, could be good if do some investigating around that

What a wonderful experience. Easy to access, I.e. No fighting traffic in the city, and good parking. Very pleasant staff and the food was just wonderful. Best calamari for a long time, perfectly cooked. Also, the veal was awesome. We were a group of four and we all enjoyed the night. Definitely going onto my special list.

My favourite portafino and my favourite dish was ruined tonight. So disappointed Always get the same Heineken and tortellini ala panna however the mince parcels as stated in the menu turned out to be something completely different the waitress said oh ricotta and spinach probably but thats not what I ordered. No one seemed to care, I left 3/4 behind cutting around the tortellini, eating the bacon and mushrooms. They could have told me they didn't have the right ingredients and I would have ordered something else or left leaving their reviews intact.

Generous portions of pasta, could use some salt, quick and attentive service, overall pretty good

The service and food were great but the floor was sooo slippery and dangerous. Needs to be sorted or someone will get hurt

I liked the variety and quantity of seasonal vegetables as a side. The vegetables were excellent. However, for the main i ordered was the lasagna and i would not recommend it. It was horrible. It was mainly cheese and sauce with a bit of pasta. I looked to find the mince but could hardly see any or taste any yet it was described as having mince in it. The lasagna was rather like tomato cheese soup than like an actual traditional lasagna. I would have made a complaint but i was with my parents and i didn't want to cause any drama. If you come here with other people don't order the lasagna it is the worst ever and my view is consistent with other people's who have left reviews.

Food always constant and the service is wonderful. A lovely place to take our kids and teach them restaurant manners.

The last three times I have visited, the manager has asked if we had a booking (which we didn't) even though there was only one other party there at the time, and other parties who arrived after us were not asked if they had a booking. We both ordered a drink, but only mine arrived, and my starter arrived as we were finishing our mains and ready to leave. The food there is quite good, which is why we've gone back again, but the service we've been receiving is making us question if we should find somewhere else.

U guys need to hire better wait staff. The energy at ur restaurant was one of non engagement, no joy and certainly no “sympatico” our waitress was so bad, I think she must be a relative to get this job. No follow up for more drinks at all. I’ve been a regular at Portofino but sono fatto. Buon Fortuna mi amici. 2 stars for food. But u need to sort out ur service standards coz u will lose customers.

Usually love it here haven’t tried Meadowbank, my son and I ordered fettuccine pollo and lasagna to take away, the fettuccine was great for my son, I had the lasagna, it was so salty it was inedible, we returned as requested, got half one back and again incredibly salty, I love my salt but this was just too much to the point I couldn’t eat the second sorry guys. The only flavour was salt.

Terrible. We have eaten at many other portofinos and this was by the worst. Meadow bank Portofino Auckland. We ordered the carbonara and the fettuccine. The carbonara was over cooked and was given scrambled eggs with pasta. The fettuccine was bland and it was not fettuccine pasta, it was pappardelle pasta. Disappointing. Would not recommend this Portofino. Wouldn’t feed it to my dog.

Was good experience staff was professional and helpful. Hats off to them for putting up with our group as we had to wait for another person who was running late. Had the lamb and it was ok but wouldn't order it again.

I ordered from this restaurant tonight for the first time in seven or eight years and they are still fantastic. The food is cooked with passion and it is fresh, which is what we were mainly looking for. The service is also quite good, so I really have nothing negative to say at all, well done guys!

Would have preferred my pizza base to be a bit crispier (a little doughie in the middle today), but as usual tasty dinners Like that the kids can pick off the main menu for a smaller portion, great now they are a bit older and willing to try different options.
