I can't comment on the work of Power Technology as we didn't start our installation, yet. But I was really impressed during the pre-sales by their product knowledge, the professionalism of the quote and - most important - how helpful and knowledgeable Hamish was to answer our early questions!

We (Sullivan Hall) recently approached three solar companies to price a PV array on our commercial building. Hamish at Power Technologies was awarded the project. His knowledge and enthausium for PV technology and EV benefits is infectious. Power technologies provided us a sound assessment on our self sufficeincy and cost to benefit so that we could make an educated decision on the size of the array and the benefits of how to use our generated power. I highly recommend Power Technologies and would gladly use them again.

When choosing to go alternate energy, there's lot' to know, and we all need to rely on a the knowledge and skills of the of company.

Powertech may have been the single biggest disappointment I have ever experienced in business, and it cost me $70k (plus maybe another $50k-$100k to cover their mistakes) to learn they are clueless and not competent.

We went alternative on our lifestyle block. The generator was too small, the batteries were too small, and replaced with used ones that also failed. The inverter failed and was replaced, the wind turbine which was an AC turbine an could not even charge batteries, was replaced, and the system failed every day for two years before they walked away. They used replacement batteries which were not sealed (we paid for sealed batteries), so when they failed soon after they blamed us for not topping them up (unaware that that point we had to as we were never told when they replaced them with inferior batteries to what we purchased). So not only did they blame me (*incorrectly) for the failures, they refused to service anything that remained that operated).

We provided specs for what they accurately determined was a 16kw system, but only supplied 600ah batteries, and an AC direct turbine that they were so desperate to sell to us, that we had nor room in the budget at that time to add solar (a no brainer in hindsight they should have put in solar and must smaller wind turbine). The original electrician still works on our system and told Powertech it could not possibly work.

Able Solar has rectified the issues and were some much better to deal with.

PowerTech have been rude and nasty throughout. Haw can anyone want to do business this way.
