Princeton Apartments reviews
23 Stayed for short term. Pros: Nice view, hard but cozy bed, some amenities (coffee, tea, sugar, shampoo, and soap (the soap was really nice), complete kichensets, staff are super friendly (compared to the other apartments under the same management), nice location (empire and columbia apartments which are under the same management are located under the hill that you need to climb up). Water pressure and temperature were EXCELLENT.
Cons: Wi-Fi is NOT free (3gb for $10 and 10gb for $20), they didn't clean the room properly (crumbs on my drawer and MUCUS on the towel and blanket!), you need to climb the stairs which are very long, and you live with other people in the unit but they won't tell u in the ad (2 bedrooms in the unit).
Front Glass door has been smashed & covered with a sheet of ply for several weeks now. Often dodgy people loitering outside entrance of building which can be very intimidating. Floors can be dirty from time to time. Parking practically non-existent thus requiring guests park in restricted areas in order to park close enough to the building so as to feel some level of safety walking to the building.
The worst place I have ever been in my whole life!
* you would hear the voice of people fighting during the nights! Screaming out of fight! Cursing each other. This is not suitable for some students and a lot of people smoke and smoke comes exactly to your room. I got a heart problem because of that.
Sometimes some people come from emergency exit to your room and knock on the door and curse you!
Noise of the street in the middle of the night. Also there is a parking near the building that people who wanna try musing during night come like a vampire and you would never get sleep well!
Mostly crowded by homeless people!
The staff at the reception might be helpful but they cannot help you sleep well!
You will hear the sounds from every where, top floor.
Smoking and other bad smell comes directly to your floor.
The worst of the worst. I have been living in numerous places but here is the craziest place!
There is no such a thing as ventilation! And others
Relaxing great views ask @ RECEPTION.room with A view, staff kind helpful and Greatful.
Beds are very comfortable.kitchen bathroom shared.also close to subways dairy's " parks A walk too Town 5 minutes CBD CITY ️ VERY AFFORDABLE FOR YOUR NIGHT OUT.
KIA ORA
The room was tidy. The bed okay. It really was accommodation that mirrored the rate! And it suited my visit as I was out for most of the trip. Shower was good. Wee kitchen right outside door, so you may get woken by dishes from your neighbours! The room is lockable so that was good.
Its a good place to live, I lived here long term, right in the city, three coffee shops just across the road, bus stop, universities etc. Room is nice, I had a view of the water, it is good value, Luke and Daniel are kind and responsive. Fast easy process, bond returned really fast and everything was smooth. Thanks:)
Convenient apartments if you study in city. I stayed here many years ago. Very small but perfect for student accomodation.
· Location was perfect for us. And the fact that there was a kitchenette with everything you need was good. We asked for early check in and that was granted.

Great value for money! Not a top notch city hotel but definitely a comfortable stay for an excellent price.
Very tiny apartment with not even enough space in the common area for 3 people to stand. No hangars in the wardrobe, no free WiFi, no hooks to hang clothes in the toilet, no space. There are much better and bigger places available for the same price nearby. Would not recommend.
Clean, compact little unit with attached bathroom. However, the reception guy didn’t tell us it’s a 2 bedroom unit and we are sharing the bathroom with another. There was 1 locked door and another before we entered our room. We left our door open, without realizing there’s someone else in the other locked room. Luckily, nothing happened but I think he could have warned us. It will be ugly if something goes missing and that’s not a nice start to anyone’s holiday.
The apartment is in the vicinity of the Auckland University of Technology. Everywhere you go, you will see their facilities. Huge place. So I expected nice cheap food but, not so, maybe I don’t go far enough. There’s only Starbucks, Subway, Pita shop and a couple of convenience shops. I guess, it’s in school area so not much restaurants around. But it’s a clean place all around.
Hmmm. Central.about 10 minutes walk to Queen St. And cheap at $59 For that you get a double bed room with shared bathroom and a shared very basic kitchen. No luxury here and you pay$15 extra for a car park which might test your parking skills.yes space is, at a premium everywhere. But if you're looking for somewhere clean, cheap and central this could be the right place for you
Apartments are very small with little floor space to even open your luggage bag. Beds are barely large enough for two small people. Lifts were very slow. Overall this was expected for such low prices but still not pleasant.
My very first apartment in New Zealand. I still can't forget as it's the smallest apartment I have ever lived in. Very cheap environment.
I luv living in Princeton apartments. Its my favourite accommodation since i arrived to Auckland. I absolutely luv the staff here Nigel, John, Luke, Albert and the whole cleaning team. The guys are amazing. The staff work really hard. My hats off to them. Regards Mini
Tiny, mouldy shower, no bath mat to stand on, dirty fridge but worst of all there were not one but THREE curly hairs from someones "nether regions" on the sheets of one bed. Clearly the sheets had not been changed.
Only good things were view, cheaper price and bed comfortable (we slept on top of it, not in it!)
The four stars are chosen for the location. The location is great, close to the museum, the universities and mostly the city by walking. But it is a student apartment where the square meters is very limited. As far as I experience to stay here (stayed here for a week as a traveller) the security is good, the receptions is always open and ready to help.
Cleanliness is good and we can even ask for cleaning service when we need to.
Rooms are small, bathrooms could be cleaner, walls are thin. I was quite shocked that you needed to pay extra for WiFi but, I would recommend it in general as it was one of the cheapest options in Auckland. A backpacker would be pleased.
