Recently changed my motorcycle went to change insurance over with protecta the dealer gave me a quote from swan half the excess and consideretly cheaper have been with protecta for a long time and never had a claim time you started looking after your good clients protecta

Absolutely useless! Do you really need a month's time to tow a vehicle, you guys are that busy? Its been another month since they have towed the vehicle, No communication at all not sure even if they have taken it to workshop, lets see how long will this claim take, 2 months and counting, hopefully i will get my vehicle back by the end of 2024!

My son's motorbike broke down 10pm on Friday night 22/9). He was advised they would be by him in 30min to collect. They never arrived. He tried to fix bike in the rain. Had to push his bike home roughly 8km. SHOCKING SERVICE. DEFINITELY CHANGING INSURANCE COMPANY!

Always goto a dealer mechanic… always…. Keneperu Motors (while the staff seemed like good people) left me hanging for way too long.

As for the insurance. Got nadda. These jokers will do anything not to pay out is my sense. Won’t be making that mistake again.

My advise stick with the big guns.

I had couple of cars insured with them classic cars you pay on time and you pay top dollar but when you want to claim something small if it doesn’t go to management they will delay and ask and keep asking for test and delaying the quotes they breach their own policy. Absolute rubbish.

Recently my car was stolen dri ven round thrashed dented b4 it was found and thes guys helped me i was insured full car insurance with them. And apart from the fact they are closed in the weekends except for emergencies they were awesome, no long waits, great to deal with.assessed my car quickly once it was found, the assessor was really nice understood gave advice where he could.
Thats where im at now. Check amt u get paid for total loss. 6 mth or so ago i said my car value 10000 but sum insured is 6800 so some where it got changed.i think they set it at "relacement value or something. "
Ive found a car similar to mine for 10000 so im going to show them and see what happens.

Protector had help with roadside assistance, however when my car needed to be fixed, my machanical insurance had ran out after it broke down. I was then told that it still would be covered and to get an assessment from the mechanic. The mechanic assumed it was electrical and that he did not have the proper equipment to diagnose as i had to take it to the machanic shop that specializes with their cars. Meanwhile Protector had talked with the machanic about his (assumed) diagnosis and said to him that my cor wasn't covered for electrical breakdowns. Which was correct. After 2 weeks i finally picked up my car on a trailer i towed for 6hrs there and 6hrs back and then having to book in to the machanics with the specialized equipment and spending money to diagnose that there was no way that the fault was electrical and that it is machanical for which I was covered for. Unfortunately I had exhausted funds hiring a trailer, Buying petrol, paying to get my car home, then hiring a trailer to get it to the specialized machanic once there was a booking opening and paying for the electrical dianosis and then having to hire a trailer to get it back to my place as they could not hold the car due to all other bookings they had. Here is a couple of things. Protector insurance did not contact me to say they were not going to fix the car as they were going with what the other machanic had assumed. So there was no email or follow-up phone call from them to let me know. The machanic shouldn't of told Protector it was an electrical fault when he only assumed and he had already told me that i had to take it to the spacialize machanic.
I still have the car and continued paying insurance for 6 months hoping to one day have the funds to fix it. I eventually stopped my insurance due to having this car sitting here broken down. I am going to fix the car and then i will get it insured again but it definitely won't be with Protector insurance.

If you want excellent classic vehicle insurance, I don't think anyone does it better. Agreed Value (I provide an independent valuation) and reasonably priced.

Asked for a quote in the morning only replied late afternoon after I had to call them again, guess this is how you loose a customer of more than 10 years.

One word describes this Insurance company. Useless. The amount of time you have to wait and the questions they ask about your claim like you have done something wrong and then holding up your repairs because of internal issues and not taking accountability for the time its costing you waiting for them. Useless. Go to AA. They sort straight away and have awesome customer service.

Best price for motorcycle insurance. I have two bikes with them. No claims, no crashes, locked up at night, older rider all ads up to a better price. Suits me.

Very expensive and when you cancel the insurance. They will ask for a full payment despite that you will not have it for a full week. (When paying weekly)
