They are useless. Hard to get hold of. We asked for bills to be sent to us via paper (mail). We just received the first bill in over 3months, being July, Aug, Sept. Just received a paper bill for - due date 19Sept, last Saturday 14th October. Over 1 month overdue. They blame NZ Post, but as I worked there for over 15years, I know thats a lie. We used to get mail banked up in our landing with dates to send these letters on. Pulse - shame on you. When you get a customer, don't suddenly forget about them. I certainly will be telling everyone I know not to go to you. Bet you don't post this review

You should get NEGATIVE stars, you are WORST company EVER! Wish I had never changed from Frank. Sales man promised it would be so much cheaper and that they had an app I could see the daily use. Its been $100 a month darer and I don't even have a dryer anymore. I was told no price increases for a year contract, twice the prices have gone up since July. $350 to break the contract! $200 1st month off the bill is actually $173.50 cause they have to tax it. More lies! I have told someone every month the lies I was told and all they say is they will pass it onto the team. I am beyond angry and your costing innocent people precious money. I hope Fair Go get onto you and show New Zealand what you are doing! DO NOT JOIN PULSE. From reading these comments from so many people lied too, how are you not being investigated

Can your company tell me why one of your sales rep's knocked on my door last week to tell me I'm paying too much for my power, then tries to sell and offer to contact my power company to cancel for me and have me switch over to Pulse Energy to then STILL contacting my ACTUAL power company to cancel my account even AFTER I said NO I DIDN'T WANT TO SWITCH? Today, I received a bill from my power company for a cancellation fee!

PLEASE EXPLAIN!

Don't sign up there rip offs. Desperate dodgy saleman barked lies on signing up, when i signed up i got $150 joining fee then 2 weeks later i got my first power bill which was $160 so that $150, was pointless, so now i was 10 dollars overdue. Bare in mind they charge $1 per day if you don't pay your arrears immediately, me thinking its only $10 I thought it would roll over to next bill, but not the case, i missed 18 days so that's $18 extra on top of power bill, then a month later got i my 2nd power bill $390, paid that off in 2 weeks and then 2 weeks later got another power bill for $232 and the month isn't even up yet. Switching power companies asap.

Worst energy company in NZ signed up with power, gas, and broadband. The broadband was set to start the ending of July but didn’t get turned on until a week later. Then it goes down over the weekend and when I called they said that unless there is an outage they won’t do anything till Monday. So I switched to Spark because I need internet to work from home. Spark said they would tell pulse I switched and asked over the phone if they were notified and pulse customer officer said they were and cancelled the account there are fees for cancelling early which I knew and was fine with. My next bill comes up and they are still charging me for the broad band! I called and they said I never told them and will charge me another month for this. I demanded the call be listened to and they said they did and that they didn’t hear me say anything about my broad band cancellation. I asked for the call recording and confirmed I did. Will take this up with them for trying to swindle me. Listen to the others on here if your thinking about joining Pulse think again! They charge a lot of fees that are hidden in their bills and end up paying more in the end. I signed up with Genesis in the end cause I am not sticking with a company with such poor customer service and who lie to you.

Never had any power issues or anything with this group. However i started to get a feeling I was being ripped off. My bills continued to rise excessively and new charges unknown to me continued to pile on. In the end I changed power company and since I have save around $120-$140 per month. I can also track my power with the other company and see what I am actually using. This company needs to be more transparent about what you are spending your money on. I will not be returning.

Pulse energy sales man came to my home offered me a deal but he have gave overpriced deal I feel the old electric company is better 100% won’t recommend the pulse energy seems like they’re giving free power deal $209 but they’re really overpriced on daily charges worst company

Worst company to ever exist they charge all these fees you don't even know what they're for on top of your power. They will disconnect your power then charge you a fee and when they reconnect it they charge you another fee.now that I've left to another company they're taking back their $200 credit they gave in the beginning so now I have to pay it DO NOT JOIN THEY ARE SCAMMERS

Let me say firstly, with my experience with this company PULSE ENERGY/PIONEER, Iam lucky iam now out of their supply clutches of my property. Since changing to Contact energy (in Queenstown) My account has been approximately 100 a month, no one stays there as it's a holiday house for a Australian couple.so it's only a fridge really.
But with PULSE IT WAS 300 SOMETIMES 400 a month.
The reason being is PULSE are bi monthly reads and CONTACT ENERGY ARE instant reads via wi fi. Problem is here whoever PULSE or pioneer use to go for these reads.well put simple, THEY DONT GO OUT THEY GUESS THAT MONTH AS WELL. So you never know where you are with billing. The staff at PULSE when you question about this, are as useless as you can find anywhere in the retail market complaints section

Go to CONTACT ENERGY you will thank yourself

DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS COMPANY.

I have experienced issues since February 2022 with my internet and after a whole year until February 2023 they still did not send a technician out to the property to resolve the issue.

Every time I would call the company I would be on hold for 2+ hours and every time I would email they would get back to me 2-3 days later.

Every time I would receive a response from a different team member and they had no record of the last conversation or anything that was going on. This went on for a whole year, I would receive responses like “I can see your internet is working fine”, after months of emailing trying to get the internet fixed.

Once I went without internet for 7 days after they reset the connection and the only reason it was fixed was because a friend of mine came to fix it.

After one whole year I finally ended my account with them, I was told I had to give 30 days notice or they would charge a termination fee. I gave 30 days notice and they still charged me the termination fee.

They just emailed and said your final invoice is $390 and you are being charged penalties of $1.15 per day for everyday you are late. They refused to send me a final invoice for the amount and said it was not possible as I had closed my account with them.

After sending over 30 emails over the course of 4 weeks I was finally given a breakdown of the charges – all I asked for was to be told what the fees were before I paid.

Please do yourself a favour and never ever use this company, they should not even be allowed to operate.

I have wasted hours and hours of my time dealing with this and its just unacceptable.

There was one person at the company who finally helped me get my final bill and her name was Risa, other than that every person I emailed or talked to especially a staff member called Georgina were the most incompetent and unhelpful people I have ever dealt with.

They asked me when I want to cancel without telling me about the cancellation fee of $150, if you give them less than 30 days notice. And I was a customer for 4 years.
Besides it's impossible to understand their rates.

This company totally misleading people. I sign up with them for 2 years after two years when I cancel with them they charge me for 150 dollars for termination fees. Totally rip off Dnt join this company

Complete rip-off. When I say rip off I mean $400-$600 monthly bills. How can this even be possible? Now I’m with a provider that only charges nothing over $240 monthly! DONT GO WITH PULSE ENERGY! IT’S A TRAP! SAVE YOURSELF! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

Be careful of this company! When you decide to switch the broadband with another company,Pulse will force you to pay $172.5 for the modem fee, which they said this can’t be returned to them after 1.5 year use that they suggested me to dump it to the bin! So disappointing

Had pulse salesman door knocking telling me that I am paying too much haha, I was like: Firstly where did you get this information, then he reckons he can pull it up on his little fancy gadget. I was waiting for a bit but at this point he starts rambling numbers and percentages etc and how much pulse can save me money blah blah pulse is for the community blah blah (still hasn't answered my first and only Question). Then he asks me to pull up my receipt and show him my kilowatts etc. (WHY PRETEND TO PULL IT UP ON YOUR LITTLE FANCY THINGY MAGIGY) LMFAO So, I pretended to pull my receipt but I was actually reading the reviews on here. Thanks guys for your reviews because it helped me determine my YEAH NAAAH maybe never lol. But long story short THANK YOU PULSE THAT'S 5 mins of electricity you owe me for leaving my Netflix running to listen to rambling.like who knocks on someone's door to ramble and not make sense. WASTED VALUABLE ELECTRICITY USING TIME FOR ME THAT IM HAPPY PAYING TO MY ELECTRICITY PROVIDERS WHO HAVE REAL GOOD REVIEWS AND AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. Just saying.

Worst advertisement! Searches show they don’t do credit checks however when you call they actually do! And they say they are very lenient.that isn’t so.they waste your credit score
