The worst Japanese ramen experience I've ever had. Eggs weren't marinated and over cooked. Nothing same like the photo on the menu.pork slices were extremely smelly and tough. Ramen broth tasted like ramen sauce mixed with water, no deep broth taste at all. Vegetables (cabbage, carrot) tasted like uncooked veggies dipped in the hot soup. Waitress tried to take my bowl when I didn't even finish eating, wanting us to leave so they can serve another customers, I was only there for less than 10 mins. First and last visit for me.

Went here first week of February, love the place. It’s small, and authentic. Feels like I am in an anime series. The hosts were very kind. Ramen is definitely AUTHENTIC with great portion, it was perfect for the windy and cold day at CBD.

Old school Ramen Daikoku right by Britomart. It's been many years since I last visited, but the taste is still authentic. The broth is tasty and the ramen spot on. Big portions and they are generous on the meat, especially the pork belly. You can order side dishes too. The place is not big, so can fill up quickly. Super fast service

Haven't been for a while. Finally managed to get in for Sunday lunch. The prices have increased a little. In my opinion, their ramen is still the best. Grabbed my favourite Hot Energy Ramen. Comes with plenty of toppings and both sliced and stewed pork. If there's not enough noodles you can always get an extra serve.

Delicious and tasty as always. Thanks guys

Having passed by this Japanese restaurant, I ordered a bowl of tonkotsu ramen and octopus balls. Unfortunately, both dishes fell short of expectations. The stiff cabbage and bland char siu (oddly labeled as char siu) were disappointing. The ramen broth was too thin, lacking depth and aroma – not much different from the soup made with instant noodle seasoning. The octopus balls seemed predominantly made of flour. Having tried ramen at several places in the city and sampled octopus balls elsewhere, both these dishes here left a lasting negative impression. The only positive aspect I found was the resilient and chewy texture of the noodles in their ramen – that's the sole redeeming quality. In summary, this restaurant is indeed deserving of a negative review.

The most disappointing aspect was the unpleasant taste of the food and the terrible services. First, the ramen – the broth had a faint flavor with an odd hint of instant noodle seasoning. It lacked the rich, hearty essence of authentic pork bone broth and seemed artificially concocted. Furthermore, the ramen's egg, which should ideally be a soft-boiled or runny yolk, was terribly overcooked, resulting in a very poor texture. Moving on to the takoyaki, it was evident they were reheated convenience items, not freshly made on-site. The octopus inside was tiny, and the texture was far from crisp; overall, the taste was extremely unsatisfying. Lastly, regarding the service, my companion and I had barely glanced at the menu when a waiter loudly demanded our order from behind, startling me. This lack of courtesy and impatience was quite off-putting. The restaurant lacked natural light, creating a rather gloomy atmosphere. All in all, I am highly dissatisfied with this dining experience.

Probably the best ramen place that I have been to!

We ordered tonkotsu ramen and hot energy ramen. Big portions with nicely made noodles and flavourful broth. If you are not a fan of spicy ramen then do not order the hot energy ramen, but for me I loved it as I love spicy food. We also ordered takoyaki which they give you 5pieces and chicken karaage which had big chicken pieces. Very affordable if you want to enjoy nice Japanese food.

1 downside I noticed was they seem to rush you to order and leave which wasn’t nice, but I guess they do that because it is such a small place that a lot of people go to. So it’s more of a eat, pay and gap kinda place.

Lovely spot in the city centre and with very good food. Almost no waiting. Very cozy inside.

Another iconic place I had been going to since uni, as it was affordable for a student and hearty. A cozy little place with great hospitality, there's never a long wait even if busy. My go-to was the shio ramen with extra bamboo. They use the crunchy style bamboo instead of the soggy leathery stuff. I think the only time something went wrong was when there was one chef to a full house, and the broth was very salty. Otherwise the broth was always balanced and flavoursome with no weird pork game taste like a lot of the ramen places in Sydney.

I didn’t have a good time after having spicy tonkonsu ramen for dinner here. This place used to be great but not anymore…

Food was okay, but the waitress was extremely disrespectful and rude. She definitely lacks basic customer service skills and she is in rush to kick you out once you are served. She got the wrong order and said you still need to pay for it. Luckily my friend was happy to swap over. My first and last visit.

Raised price a lot, less menu than before and the waitress has no sense of how to treat her customers. She just kicked us out literally saying "are you done? There are people waiting". Not going back any more in fact the menu is no different from other ramen places and worst customer service.

Bad experience, one of the worst ramen that I ever tasted. The morning after my dinner there I had a terrible stomach ache!

Great Japanese next to the train station vibe, but the food has gone a little down hill. Should be one of the best places, but this time a floury overcooked egg.

Not fancy but great hearty meals at a very reasonable price. The service is super quick. The location is perfect when there are delays at Britomart. Not an expert about Ramen but it is last and a generous serving. The set meals are a great deal

Big portion, cheap and not too expensive. Hidden behind valley. And delicious too in a cold day

This place is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. A cosy and welcoming little place, the folks at Ramen Daikoku know good ramen, which means having quality broth is essential. The flavour in their Tonkotsu is fantastic and the price is very reasonable. If you want something with a bit of spice, their Spicy Pork Belly Ramen is to die for.

A ramen shop. Yummy and flavourful, although not too authentic. However, the staff members are friendly and accommodating. Their prices are quire reasonable, though only have limited amount of seats. Definitely a challenge if you have a group of 4 or more people.

Seafood Ramon was awesome. Great atmosphere. Large prawns close to crayfish tasting. Definitely go again. Great for dining on the run.

This place always has great food, always, but disappointed to see they are not open for Sunday lunch anymore.
