Staff are some what helpful and some are not very friendly. Would go elsewhere but to far to travel

Affordable price, variety meat and easy to prepare. Bought for my cat since he was 3-month old, now he is over 3 years old and always love his food;)

Love this place! I would have given 5 stars but only gave 4 as they changed their supplier for rabbit tails and they now have dried skin bits and blood all over them so I need to wash them at home. But I still buy them and are still my cats favourites toys / treats. They have a great selection of food and treats for your furbabies.

Lovely staff here. And a good range of products. I do recommend buying your favorites early and stocking up because they can run out of certain variants. Amazing products though

A big shout out to the team in Glenfield store. Especially Jess who has assisted us on this raw journey with our very food-sensitive puppy! We have been stressing so much about our puppy consistently have loose stool and irritated stomach but through the help and advise from Jess we finally worked out a diet that works and he is now thriving on raw. We are so happy with the support we are getting. Thank you so much Jess for your wonderful service:)

Great frozen food selection for pets! If your animal does not like the meats, you may exchange the rest of it so it won't go to waste. You can weigh your pets in there, bring them in! It's always nice to see dogs and puppies sniffing around and saying hello to people.

My cats are raw feeders and Raw Essentials supply a good range of pet food that is well priced and it seems well liked by animals. Very pleasant staff and easy parking.

The girls at this store are amazing, so super helpful and friendly. They make the difference, and I would strongly recommend to anyone who feeds their furbabies raw food.

With level 3 in Auckland you'd think the Auckland stores are consistent with their approach in purchasing. Happened to be in Glenfield this morning and decided to stop in and get some food for my dog, but at the door the lady said you have to "email us then we will process your order and call you when its ready". No one else was around, there were two female staff members in there and you'd think they can just help me on the spot? Ended up driving to New Lynn where you can order at the door and pay via pay wave.
Staff at Glenfield seemed lazy, couldn't think outside the box or showed any willingness to help they were more content sitting at the front counter gas-bagging to eachother. Wake up Glenfield shop, you seem stuck in the ice age with your staff and be more innovative around the purchasing/ordering of raw essentials for pet owners.

It took us a while to make the change over from biscuits to raw, but we are so glad we did and wouldn't go back now. Our two dogs get so much more enjoyment out of meal times now with the added bonus of healthier coats and less smell! Our regular visit to Raw Essentials is one of our favourite parts of the week. Gemma, Kate & Jess are so welcoming and good with our two PLUS they put up with me taking up their valuable time while I have a natter with them. Recently Gemma has been working side by side with me to find a cause for our Daisy's red feet by helping us to eliminate a food allergy (which it isn't). She's really gone the extra mile following up with an email each week to check on Daisy's progress. I've appreciated all their help and can not recommend them enough

Had to take back 2 bags of Rabbit and heart, which I had bought a week ago, because my cat had diarrhoeas and vomited each time I gave defrosted rabbit n heart from this purchase. This is probably the worst nightmare for pet owners who feed their pets raw meat. We always have to worry about bacteria when we feed our pets raw meat. When I discussed my worries with a female staff at Raw Essentials, she just refunded and did not look so concerned about this episode; and she turned deaf to my request for recall of the batch in problem. This episode makes me seriously think again about feeding my cat frozen pet raw food. I am not really sure whether Raw Essentials has a quality inspection system. It seems to me they are just a middleman for their suppliers and they have no say in anything from sourcing of raw meats to quality inspection, if any. Another worry is I often see bags of raw meats torn apart and left open in the freezers at RE, which may lead to cross contamination. In these cases, we pet owners are really helpless as there is no governing and regulating authority when it comes to the pet raw food manufactures and sellers. There are no recall system and no safety regulations. We and our precious pets are just at the mercy of pet raw food makers and sellers. I am quite disappointed with the way my legit concerns were dealt with by the female staff at Glenfied Raw Essentials. I seriously hope they have a quality inspection system set up and tell the supplier to do recall the bad products. I am extremely fussy about hygienic cleaning when handling my cat's raw meats. I always clean the kitchen bench with anti bacteria detergent after handling raw meats and always wash hands before and after feeding our cat because I know bacteria is a serious matter not just for our cat but for us too.

Went to the Glenfield shop today. Two young men were there and were extremely helpful, so nice to get good service. Will be a regular there for sure. Thanks guys.

Excellent service, they know their customers by names & give them treats on sitting politely.
Oh & they now have a variety of pet toys made from recycled plastic bottles!

Spartan decor. Good service. Always gives my little dog a treat which is why he loves visiting.
