Have been here quite a few times on weekends and more often then not there are people waiting to be served with what looks to be staff just hanging around out back in the mixing area. Yes staff need to wait for paint to mix but they don’t seem to be serving anyone and just wander off further away from the front. One time my partner gave up after 20 mins of waiting and left as not a single person came out front.

We had an unusual design project that required some good recommendations & found Brenda great to deal with.

What fantastic service. I got a lot of wonderful advice in what paint, how much I would need and roller & paint brush accessories I would need for my tasks. I thoroughly recommend Resene for most paint needs.

The young lady as helpful as she could be, but all information came second hand from Scott how seemed to have no interest in helping.

Amazing customer service from Marcus! Super patient and helpful. We spent at least 1 hr in store as was originally very lost with what colour scheme to pick. Marcus was able to make great recommendations and guided us on what colours will have more longevity and complement the limiting elements on our house.

If you need help with anything. Ask for Maia. Delightful lady. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this store. Been to the store twice. First time was to get concrete paint for concrete block walls In basement room only to be told " you don't need concrete paint we sell this paint instead". Well it didn't stick properly. Took the paint back and was reassured that is what they recommend and they didn't have any other options. I asked again about specific concrete paint and they said don't need it. Finally they said, maybe use a membrane paint (which they don't have) to seal the wall first then you can top coat it with standard wall paint.
So, I went to Mitre 10 for the membrane paint, and they said "you shouldn't top coat it, as it's not recommended by the the manufacturer. Then they said " why didn't you use concrete paint". That went down real well I tell you,
Spent $700 at resene and now have to strip the wall back to start again with the right paint.
I should be charging resene for this extra work plus a refund for the paint.

Spent an afternoon on the Resene website selecting colours and went to the shop only to discover most had been discontinued as samples and test pots because they were from the old range. Even some of the swatches in the shop had been discontinued. The staff were lovely and as helpful as possible, but sadly the Resene catalogue is so out of date, its made it too hard to shop for colours. I'm amazed that Resene has this issue with their website, given the importance of online information. Really frustrating and time wasting from a customer point of view. Edit to reply: Staff didn't mention any offer to take home A4 sheets, and some of the A4 in store sheets were missing. It's great that older tints are available but it would still be best if they were clearly marked on the website. It would save a lot of time and hassle.

Waited over 15 minutes today with no service. Need more staff in store. Phone calls were being answered but customers on the floor were being ignored. Terrible service, and all I wanted was to buy the paint, and query the type to use.

Very busy in there today.the guy I was dealing with was absolutely hopeless.the ladies in there were like always very good and helpful, the Indian guy not so much. I'd still fully recommend silverdale resene over this store any day.

Always very helpful. Their colour consultation service is great too. Big consultation area, kids play corner, wallpaper section.

Unbelievably terrible customer service. I ordered two rolls of wall paper on the 2nd November that was meant to arrive within two or three days. I had no contact after a week so followed up and the order was never put through as suplier apparently not available on weekends and the weekday team knew nothing. It never got ordered. Went in on a week day to double check it had been ordered.and supplier said there will be a delay. It's now 30th november, I call and the guy on the phone asks if I want a refund. No thanks I just want the wall paper I ordered a month ago!

Phenomenally bad service. Went in on Tuesday morning to look for a brick style of wallpaper, and exterior and interior paint for a $100,000 insurance project. Took ages to be served as one employee cashing up coins and the other trying to figure out rostered break times. Employee found a book with one sample of brick. When asked if there were any more styles of brick, employee said no, they can only do what’s in the books. I asked “and what about all of those books down there.what’s in them? ”

“I have no idea” she said. Told her she should know her products better. She shrugged and said there’s too many. We walked out.

What a joke of a shop. Never had such rude, revolting service. Appalled. Don’t waste your time here!

Helped us get a colour match for a interior paint job. Got it done on the same day. Busy shop.good parking and handy location to the motorway.

We visited Resene Wairau store on Saturday, the Auckland anniversary weekend of 2018. We were served by Ryan, what a legend! With Ryan’s advice and patient manner, we learned so many things about textures and smooth surfaces. How to paint, use the roller brush, normal brush, how to do the edges and cutting in, how to tape, all of that stuff quite valuable really. We had never painted before, with the weekend now wrapped, we have managed to paint the biggest room in the house along with the ceiling,
