Kathir replied to my email within 24 hours and was flexible with time and day for the pre-purchase building inspection. During the inspection, Kathir was very focused on his job, took a lot of photos and was thorough. He spent time with me afterwards to explain his findings. The detailed building report was emailed the same day. Would use his services again if needed:)

Kathir from Right Home is the only Building Surveyor I’ll use. You get what you pay for, and Kathir Is the best in town. There are cheaper surveyors, but i have managed to rely on his thorough report to negotiate repair of defects which more than covered the fee!

Kathir Sam has been so kind and has completed over four inspections for us in our search for a home in Auckland, in what is a very “hot” market. He can make space for an urgent inspection at a moment’s request, as is so often needed when you have to pounce on a property before it is sold pre-auction! He is very cheerful and excellent to deal with. But I think perhaps the best part, is his thorough inspection and very clear written report. It is easy for a non-builder to understand at a glace. I have used Right Home NZ at 3 different occasions. On one occasion, he saved us from buying a house, which could have been a nightmare for us. I must say Sam is best in town. Decided to use this company after their feedback on here but they failed to mention the laminate floor was cracking and it has gotten worse over time. This wasn’t mentioned on the report and when I queried this with him he said he doesn’t note minor things on his report and to take it up with the owner for warranty. Actually flooring isn’t minor! Now I have to sort the flooring. I don’t recommend this company for home inspections.
