RNT Motors reviews
29 Impatient
impatient to ask questions
The problem to be checked is not actually checked
Just did a full oil change
If there is a problem with the car, I want to check it, not very pushy
Lovely service, surprisingly fast considering I called on a Saturday and done in less than an hour. Well priced I felt. I would come back
Tom is very friendly, keen to help. He stayed open late on a Saturday, provided exchange car. He has been transparent with price. RNT is trustworthy. We will come back.
Great service every time. Quite a few times they’ve quoted me and then come back and said it was actually cheaper despite me agreeing to initial quote.
Reliable, efficient and trustworthy. I would come back every time.
Failed my WOF but booked in 2 days later to get the issue fixed and 2.5 hours later it was fixed perfect and I was given the part that needed to be replaced to pass the WOF, will be going back in a cpl of weeks to get another part fixed. Service was good nice people
I don't normally write reviews.
However, this mechanic provided a reasonable quote and good quality of services.
Thank you.
We have been using the services of RNT motors for the last 12 years mainly for WOF and general annual service (oil change etc) and based on our interactions with RNT motors I rate their service as very good. For some, language can be a slight problem but for me it isn't as I am quite familiar with the way they speak English.
680 to 700 dollars to change unbalanced back brake pads and right front beam, needed to do maintenance before VTNZ Kingsland approves my WOF, waiting for next pay day to fix and hopefully will be able to meet criterias to my cars default, TOYOTA MACK4 3 LITRE, Thinking of buying me a bicycle, cheaper in maintenance, kiora
RNT motors was recommended to me by a friend almost 14 years ago, and since then Tom (the owner) has been my go to mechanic for over a decade now. It has always been a pleasure doing business with him and his wife (who is also often present). You will find him a welcoming, honest and upfront mechanic, who will always try to get you the best deal to suit your needs. He seems to remember all his customers too which is nice, even recognising me after being away for 5 years. At the very least come in for a quote and see what he has to say, I'd wager you'll find a very reasonable price, and swift turn around on your vehicle.
The guy there always does a good solid job. I recommend him for any repairs. He will let you keep the old parts he has replaced and show you the wear and/or tear on each bit. Very affordable and very prompt. Sometimes can be a bit of a wait but I'm happy to wait for his work. 5/5!
Best mechanics I've ever been to, especially as a woman who doesn't know too much about cars! I recommend these guys to everyone that asks.
Fantastic service, good value and incredibly professional. Can't believe I've lived in Mt Albert for years and only discovered RNT now. Highly recommend.
My Suspension Bushing needs to be replaced. Told them more than a month in advance. I went there, and they told me that they can't do it by themselves. So they drove my car to a mechanic that's in a different suburb to get it fixed. It took a whole day to get it fixed and they charged me almost $1000.
Extremely unprofessional over the phone, Called to get a starter motor changed, Initially Claimed that they did not change starter motors, than went on to say that they don't use customer provided parts (Official genuine Nissan parts are not good enough apparently) Clearly not interested in doing any work.
Will never go here, and will recommend everyone else to do the same.
It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust especially when you just moved to a new city. A friend of mine recommended RNT Motors a few years ago. I've been coming here ever since. I always had positive experiences. The boss Tom is down to earth and always charges very reasonably.
Went for a WOF. They were really helpful and showed me what were the problems with my vehicle before charging me.
Great service, excellent price. Brake pads are repaired very quickly. I recommend their services.
Worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. Booked a day in advance, showed up few mins early for the wof. Went to reception and they told me to pull my car in. As I went to my car one of the mechanics began to harass me about my car, claiming it was too low even though it was all legal and have never had an issue even at a vtnz. I also called vtnz on the spot and proved my car was wof ready but I was rejected. Took it to a place down the road and drove out with a fresh wof. I hope this store closes down, waste of space.
Very experienced. Do not over charge customer. Very economical mechanic. Has been servicing mine and friend's cars here for the past 10 years!
Make sure you get a WRITTEN QUOTE before doing anything.they will try to make excuses later on and charge DOUBLE the amount even though all the information was there in the initial check.i would go to a more reputable place or even less shady looking one than this.places like this is the reason why mechanics have "that" reputation.
