Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron reviews
54 This is a bit of a different review as I was fortunate enough to be a supplier for a corporate celebration there over the weekend, rather than a customer.
The event manager, Victory, made delivery and pick up a breeze, and was a great communicator.
The location is established, access is good, and every window is like a postcard to look out of.
I would certainly recommend the RNZYS for any event to impress.
Such a picturesque place where you are able to see a magnificent Auckland City Skyline views. Yatch station was grand with beautiful approach and rest facilities.
Great views of Auckland bridge.
Different bars, good atmosphere.
Restaurant has good food
Went to a family event there. Well run function center in a great location with onsite parking.
Its the best place to watch Harbor Bridge light show and Sky Tower. Its beautiful to spend time there both in summer and winters.
My partner and I had a Sunday roast dinner and we bought enjoy our meals.
I had asked to have fish and dairy free roast because of my diet and the food was very nice.
The waitress was professional and friendly to take our order and help me with for special order.
The restaurant view is beautiful with Auckland harbour and Bridge.
Highly recommended.
Excellent views from the bar and restaurant. The History of Yachting in New Zealand is second to none. From the America's Cup, Prada Cup and multiple cups of different classes of racing. Prime location at Westhaven overlooking the beautiful Waitemata Harbour and spectacular views of the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
When a greedy narcissist negotiates with the worst Labour mayor and prime minister in New Zealand’s history what could go possibly go wrong? It sounds like the answer to that is the RNZYS ends up giving away the chance to host the next Americas Cup to Spain when the nation needs it like never before in its history.
In recent years won and defended with NZ tax payers money and the adoration of the country. Now looking like it will be thrown away by a traitor on behalf of the RNZYS, the government and council.
The next Team New Zealand defence won’t be in my name if it goes off shore. I would hope they lose it badly and that the New Zealand public turns on Grant Dalton and the RNZYS as the losers who stole our legacy.
It's a beautiful place to hangout with friends, or a special someone, and see the pretty lights displayed from the Auckland Harbour Bridge. You can also talk a stroll on the boardwalk too. Best views at night of the city and AUCKLAND Skytower.
We didn't go in here, but we stood under shelter from rain to take pic's & watch the light show on Harbour Bridge.
Hadn't been for years so nice to lunch there today and see it still has the same nautical charm about it. Nice food, service and view too.
I go there for work n love going there what a awsome beautiful place only one thing that kills it is soooooo many apartments a going up there now lol
It was really a relaxed atmosphere, sat outside and had a good view. Food was good and the staff was friendly. Best of all, you are not crammed in nor are you hassled by people coming and going. A great place to discuss have meetings, and some good laughs.
Beautiful views over Auckland harbour and Harbour Bridge and excellent facilities. Just miss that welcoming feel. Staff could be friendly and less formal. Very traditional building and staff practices (and although that makes it great for National to party) it does not give a welcoming feel and sense of belonging. One word to describe it would be cold. Good if you like conservative views on how things should be done formally but would be way better if it was a little less.
Great place to walk around or drive around to take a up close look at the bridge lights and share some special time alone or with yr loved one
Glorious views from the Harbour Bridge across the harbour to Rangitoto, plus delicious restaurant food!
Lovely function location. Amazing main course (buffet) Main criticisms: the desserts were not the best & milk for tea could only be used from the coffee machine. Frothy milk in tea is awful, and an insult to tea drinkers. This can be easily rectified through the provision of fresh milk especially as the servers were not about to ask for it.
Some of the toilets were out of order which was odd.
The security staff at the door were friendly.
We had a work conference here in the upstairs room. The staff and facilities were outstanding and I can genuinely say we will be going back for another work event soon.
Amazing location for events with magnificent views of Auckland Harbour Bridge and Westhaven Marina. Lots of parking.
