Royal Oak Traders reviews
22Wonderful place - something for everyone. The owner was really nice and helpful. There's some beautiful furniture in there, among so many other things. I bought two pieces of furniture for a great price. I'll definitely visit again soon.
This is for the owner and owner only, I have spotted a dress in ur store and i simply need it, it is the dress with butterflies on it. Please i beg put it on hold for me under (Cass) and i will be there first thing on thursday when your open. I simply cannot bare the thought of someone else owning it and i must have it.
Fabulous variety of stock, worth a visit! Royal Oak traders is one of my fav's for browsing.
Royal Oak Traders is both a great place and a dangerous place at the same time. Great in that you will find bargains to boot as I have entry time you go there. And dangerous because you never walk out with the one thing you were lol king for but a whole a lot more. Gary is super helpful and is (thankfully) very knowledgeable about all the products in the shop. Open on Thursday to Sunday with parking or the back. I would highly recommend it for a quick bargain and help the environment by recycling and upcycling what are still great products looking for a new home.
I love this shop.
Some of the items are a bit over priced.
I can't comment on the guy in the shop. I prefer to say. NO COMMENT
A fantastic traders shop with the most vast range of goods. Friendly, attentive owner who assisted with carrying my purchases to my vehicle since I had a child in arms. The prices are so reasonable. You 100% will find something special here.
I absolutely love this store. Its a chaotic jumble of anything and everything and everytime you walk through the aisles you will find something completely different that you never noticed before. I could spend literally hours at this store. I walked away with an old school typewriter at a very fair price that now sits proudly on the hallway table and is very much a conversation piece. Cant wait until next time i visit.
We bought an amazing Edwardian mahogany dresser here a week ago. Gary was super helpful and gave us a fantastic deal. We managed to squeeze it into our car and it's looking fantastic in our house. It will be a great unit for the cut crystal glasses we got too.
This place is an absolute Gem, walking around the shop was like a trip down memory lane. Everything is fairly priced. We were going to purchase a few thing's, but unfortunately we decided not to as we were followed and watched closely. Every time I looked up, not matter where in the store is was, the owner was there. Very disheartening. The owner is obviously a racist.
Owner very rude. Will not go back there again. Stuff in boxes not sorted, dirty, unorganized. Lack of selling
There is some treasure in there HOWEVER the owner is to attached to everything and this is reflected in the price, everything is priced extremely high and given the quality and availability of some of these products I won't not recommend going there. Don't be fooled, it's not worth the amount being charged. Such a let down
Some interesting things but you might need to spend more time to look as things are tucked away and there's just so much crammed in the shop. The owner is knowledgeable and helpful
A treasure trove of collectables, some beautiful pieces of antique furniture, and some hard to find rarities.
One of my favorite places in Auckland for vintage finds. The owner is excellent in imparting his knowledge and he has a constant array of cool stuff. This shop really adds character to Royal Oak and been here for as long as I can remember and hope it never closes. Everytime I go here it feels like I'm diving into a treasure trove of different eras, it really has everything from china, odd bits, to genuine antiques in good condition to furniture needing love for an weekend upcycle project. Take your time to really browse through, not the kind of shop to just stop for 5 minutes.
The only issue is lack of parking, would advise going early in the morning to mitigate that and watch out for the corner kerb.
Best vintage/second hand shop ever. Real quality stuff for very good price. We wish we found it earlier
Excellent value second hand furniture, lamps, rugs and ceramics. One of my favourite repurpose stores in Auckland. Recommended.
Gary top Guy best trader.
This place is an eclectic dream. My interest in photography is extended to the energy each piece has here.
Its alost like a shrine for all the things used and treasured from the past and theres this little window that can be seen with all those amazing things in peoples lives that now grace the shelves of this amazing shop.
Thank you Gary for allowing me to express my art.
Excellent place to go if you need to find something specific and special. Gary also does house lots as he has helped me out several times and for very good prices.
Ok place for a good variety of items.unfortunately it's a very cluttered store and no much space to walk through the aisles.
A little treasure trove of a store. We'd often driven by but today we stopped in and were happy we did. Some great collectibles and furnishings from yester-year. Prices are very reasonable we thought. A place you can spend quite a lot time in. Here's photos of a couple of things we bought.
