Rugs Direct New Market

Rug Direct is an amazing store, with a vast variety of rugs to choose from. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful when needed, they do their best with everything and even go as far as making deliveries. I would definitely recommend coming here for people that are wanting to have a good selection of rugs as they have many different styles.

Rugs Direct have a vast variety of rugs. I was little confused in between two different rugs and friendly staff offered me a free trial.

Visiting their Newmarket store, staff was very nice and welcoming, but they couldn't help much as Manager not present and they didn't have authority to check any discounted overlocking rates and shipping as advertised free on the website .
The website says and when you add a product in the cart it says free shipping but they don't accept it. (fake advertisement) Contacted them on weekend, no response and visited store no help.  They responded today  sale finish so cant match price and blaming / accusing customer as a fault. They say get a discounted price and pay shipping or pay full price and get free shipping. I was about to buy a product worth $650 and due to there and customer service I can't make a purchase as they ask me to go somewhere else or pay for shipping.  This can be explained in a nice way too but they believe in arguments.
What's the customer's fault if your staff don't have authority to discuss the product ? Manager not helpful? No response to customer phone and email till late? Shame if you operate a business like this and lose sales, rather than communicating with customers .
Again staff present in the Newmarket branch are very welcoming and nice but they can't due to poor management and rude customer service lady Ross.

Fantastic service, they made online shopping and delivery to Christchurch very quick and easy. Highly recommend.

The guys at rugs direct were friendly, patient and very helpful. The rug we picked feels like it is great quality and certainly value for money and even nicer in reality. It came with a non folding backing as well which means no extra cost. Can't wait to show it off in our home.we looked for a while for the rug we chose and so happy we found it at Rugs Direct for a great price. Thanks guys.

BE AWARE! Don't buy online it's not free shipping and read the policy before you think to buy online. They deduct money saying shipping cost However in an invoice and when you pay online no conditions of policy were stated. They will make you buy another rug saying for free shipping plus you need to pay extra to return item through shipping. Well done for misleading customers.

I ordered online for $69 which was on clearance and advertised picture was dark green. However actual color was too dull. I ordered on 11th of Nov and their website say free shipping on orders. But today when staff offered refund through email she said that they will deduct $15 for shipping cost. I will be getting $54 Dollars back in refund. Please be aware don't buy online like I did. They had some hidden charges even through if you return it on your cost through delivery so it means you are paying double amount instead for both ways just to get refund or an exchange. Thank you now I got stuck with it and will put away in garage instead of living area where I had bright green colored runner rug.

A huge variety of rugs but the good ones dont have much of a discount. The people at the store were helpful and brought the rug to the car.

Massive range and excellent service at the Newmarket store - I was particularly impressed by Dylan who helped me find the perfect rug, after searching for a few months across a wide range of Auckland suppliers. The website is extensive but seeing the rugs is the best way to narrow down the options, and then taking a few home on appro assists in final selection. Thanks also to Gaurav and Prajna. I ll definitely return when I need another rug.

Warm place, friendly staff, and lots of lovely and great rugs to choose from. Their price is quite pocket friendly too.

I would like to give no stars if I could - horrible service when trying to return. The owner yelled down the phone, was rude and abrasive. I purchased a standard size non slip underlay for under a rug I had purchased from them, it was unopened from the courier delivery and they would not return it, said it had been too long, even when we had had a 3 1/2 week lockdown in between purchase and return - without the lockdown it would have been less than 2 weeks after it had been delivered.
It was one of the rudest phone conversations i've ever experienced, absolutly no customer service or any understanding - was very surprised.
I will never purchase from them again

I am not going to go at it with you over the internet -, My rug grip came on 1 August, so please do not lie to somehow shine you as a model retailer. You informed me on the phone of your thoughts, in your words "I don't care if you don't shop here again, and tell whoever you want".
I am telling others of my experience, as you encouraged me to do.

Extremely happy with my rug and my runner. I had bought a rug there a few years ago and just bought another one and a runner as well. I highly recommend Rugs Direct in Newmarket to anyone looking for quality, fair prices and excellent customer service!

Bought a rug from the Carlton Gore shop. The chap was very helpful. Nothing was too troublesome and even allow us to take it home to decide. Plenty of rugs to choose from and very well displayed.
