71As our first official, in dining experience in Auckland, we could not have picked a better place. One of our promises to each other was to make fun food choices, so when offered Thai, Italian or Persian, we chose Persian and it was fabulous. We got the sampler plate, the meat was tender and full of flavor (filet, chicken and lamb). The rice was a perfect flavor to enhance the meat but not overwhelm. And we split two plate between three people and got stuffed. The staff were very kind and attentive, overall, a great way to start the food portion of our vacation,
First time at a persian restaurant- this cute little place is adorable with fantastic food. You must try their saffron icecream
Was curious to try Persian food, so stopped here for dinner.very friendly service from the waitress
Excellent food taste and atmosphere, very kind owner and his wife, very kind Japanese girl from the staff
It was very delectable and very attracting and beautiful atmosphere the desserts are on another level out of this world.
Maybe it's the type of cousin, but was bit on the bland side. No share plate options and forces each person to order a main. Tables are quite close together and feel bit crowded when full. Slow service during busy nights.
Food was really yummy. Difficult to choose though if u r not persian. Ask about it before ordering. Sitting outside in the attic is very nice but a bit cold. Had a great experience.
The food here was incredible, from the steak to the chicken, all so tender and incredibly well flavored. Even the rice was light, fluffy, and really complimented everything. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere warm and cosy. Highly recommended
Rumi is one of the best Iranian restaurants in New Zealand. The food is great and people are friendly. I highly recommend it!
Very authentic Persian restaurant with excellent food and lovely staff. The place is very cozy and cute. The food is perfect (take my word as I'm Persian and I know Persian good foods). Just try it once and you will fall in love with this restaurant
A MUST try! Tasty, high quality persian restaurant, decorated beautifully with very friendly hospitality!
Marvellous food. Very prompt and friendly service. Kebabs were succulent and perfectly cooked. Fairly priced also. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Amazing experience overall. We got the mezze platter, lamb shanks and a kebab platter. The shank was cooked well but lacked flavour. The mezze platter was really interesting with a good assortment of stuff. The kebabs were cooked to perfection, moist and tender. We tried the doogh which was interesting, a fizzy yogurt based drink. And some aromatic Persian tea. Lovely ambiance and lively crowd.
Had lunch here just before we broke up for xmas - food was fabulous, and reasonably priced! Will come back to try other dishes.
We went by family. Staff was amazing, with nice and cozy place. Lamp kebab and chicken kebab was incredible. However, Koobideh seems not good, it smelled like rotten, and then was flavoured by sour taste. Rice was good. Thanks for staff.
Hamid and I enjoyed the meal of chicken as well as lamb kebabs. Yummy. And the service and atmosphere is perfect for an evening out for a talanoa. Vinaka.
Amazing, the seasoning tasted unbelievable, meat was cooked perfectly, throughly enjoyed the outside seating, great service highly recommend will definately return
I stumbled upon this neat wee place. Instantly the service was so welcoming I didn't even hesitate to go anywhere else. I was suggested a meal to try a variety of tastes and the meal was exquisite. I sat at a little table outside and it was so serene it felt like a dream.
Food was absolutely amazing and servers were top notch.
Exquisite flavours hitting all the right spots?
I turned up there and asked for Shishlik and ended up with simple Kebab. When I asked why it is different from what I ordered they said because the foreigners do not know the difference! What the hell! I was not even a foreigner. The quantity is not proportional to the cost and the quality just OK. Not recommended as a good Persian choice.
