Sal's Authentic NY Pizza Mt Wellington

I dont know whats going on with this branch in the last few months. The girl there is really rude / curt, super slow, does not appear to know how to do anything customer services related. Various items also always seem to be out of stock. Avoid where possible.

Just wanted to say that the service I got from a young asian lady was excellent. I was not happy with the overburnt toppings (capsicum) on my veggie pizza and she immediately offered to replace it. I dont usually send food back and was worried about doing so but she was very nice about it and gave extra slices!

Terrible. Cancelled our work lunch order 10 min before they were meant to deliver it. Ordered directly from Sal's website so can't blame anyone else. Caused a huge amount of inconvenience, will not be using them again.

Friendly staff, food was ready in less than 20 minutes, food was delicious and would recommend to others.

Ordered for 2 slices which said it was would be 20 minutes to get there and find out had to wait another 20 minutes. FOR TWO SLICES OF PIZZA.

I have not been here in a long time so I forgot how big the pizza's are, very enjoyable.

Don't bother going after 830pm on a Thursday. They had 1 slice of pizza left and said they were not making more. Was hoping to get a few slices, knots and some motz sticks.not to worry.m I'll go somewhere else

Very good pizza in downtown Wellington. It's New York style so you have a nice thin crust with large floppy slices. They have several great options with good toppings as well. I could take or leave the garlic rolls but they weren't bad by any means. Great stop for some good NY style pie

Just wanted to say.booked our first delivery tonight. Great happy smiley delivery guy and best pizza's ever! Thanks Sals Mt Wellington. We will be doing it again soon.

The pizza was nice but was a bit over priced for what it was and especially the cheese sticks as they were small and tasted like battered fish, I could have got them from the freezer aisle at any supermarket. The cheese cake also looked like something from my local supermarket and didn’t even come with the sauce on it, 7$ for a Fanta? (the guy was nice tho)

Sals pizza was not as crisp or flavourful as I thought. The buffalo wings was good though, little bit spicy and savoury. Doesnt go well with the ranch sauce in my opinion.

While we're in lockdown don't waste your time Auckland. Placed my order online and got confirmation email immediately. They're supposed to text message when it's ready. Text still hasn't come through an hour later. Why not email when ready? Waited 30 minutes longer than the scheduled pickup time. Won't be doing it again.

Good taste good size. Doesn't taste like a true new York pizza and isn't priced like one either but far better than the usual pizza places here in nz

I was given a free pizza because I complaint about the pizza I ordered from Manukau Auckland so I went to Mt Wellington and redeemed my free pizza and I can tell you that there is a huge difference on the quality of pizza made of the Mt Wellington branch compare to Manukau branch. The Mt Wellington Sals pizza tasted good, fresh and not burnt while the Manukau brach pizza was dry, burnt, not enough mozarella and no good at all. I dont know if this is franchise or owned by one company but the management needs to fix something in that Manukau branch before they start losing all their customers.because one bad experience will affect all of your Sals stores like a wildfire. We are in 2021 and people nowadays value quality. Mt Wellington Sal's is trying to keep your company's standard so your other branch like the Manukau branch should do the same. When I get the chance to buy Sal's from your other branch I will buy and if the quality is not as good as the one in Mt Wellington then I will surely write a bad review about that branch again. Thank you.

First ever time trying Sals Pizza & this store did no let us down! The pizza was made with so much love it was hands down the best pizza. He even threw in 2 free pepperoni knots for us. He was really nice & made our experience great. Would definitely be back?

Took 30 minutes to heat up 2 slices of pizza. Served 3 people who ordered whole pizzas before me

Update: Gave a couple free burnt garlic knots as a "sorry" and my pizza wasn't hot...

We order here a few times because it is our local Sal's Pizza. But this location is always stingy with their basil on the Nonna's pizza, even when we request extra basil. Sal's Pizza K Road gets the Basil right. If this location put more basil on the Nonna's we would easily rate higher. Sal's Pizza is great American pizza just like I grew up with. Not bottom-of-the-market but not gentrified either. Thanks for the pizza!

Tried to order NBL promo deal (1 Pizza with 3 garlic knots) and I have been advised they are run out of garlic knots. I have asked if I can pay extra and request other side dish as garlic knots are out of service and server rejected my offer. I asked what I will get instead of receiving garlic knots and server mentioned just pizza without garlic knots at same price.
I simply do not understand why customers are responsible for fault (not preparing enough food items) of the store and their way of handling situation as I did not felt they are genuine to solve problem but just lazy and want avoid taking orders.
