Only poor people go to second hand stores to buy something in less price but in New Zealand there is not much diff bwn new items price at kmart and old items at a second hand store.

The Asian woman who was working today (Saturday 28th October) was absolutely rude and lazy. Didn’t want to do anything but stand behind the counter. If you don’t want to be there don’t volunteer. Just horrible.

Substandard.
This op shop is hopeless - travel down further (around 600 Dominion Road) and you'll meet a better family store.

When I asked where to put my wet brolley this person YELLED at me.

I did not do anything wrong.
I merely asked (politely) where to place my wet umbrella.

When: 14/06/21 (14 July 2021), 1234 (12: 34pm)
Where: 200 Dominion Road
Who: Female, white skin, brown hair, sky-blue scarf, navy Salvation Army shirt (short sleeves), navy knee-length skirt, dark stockings, black shoes, tall and lean
Why: She is a bully
What: Verbal bullying
How: Nasty words, yelling i e.moderate verbal abuse

I will leave and visit other stores.
Never in my life I experienced this in any Salvation Army family store.p. S. This store is extravagant compared to other family stores. Not preferred

Discriminatory and racist. Got denied service as I was told mask exemptions are not accepted here. So I was kicked out of the store from a young female with blue eyes and brown hair. I wasn't sure what to do so sat in my car. What I saw was disgusting. A white male, well presenting walked into the store with no mask on looking for a blazer and was able to freely look around with out any hassle for 20 or so minutes and then left with out being questioned. However 5 minutes down the road at the other salvation army, I was welcomed with open arms and was able to purchase a garment, no questions or hassles at all. Was a lovely experience. I am a young brown male that was denied service for the exact same thing a white male was no even questioned for. It was Saturday 30th April at 3pm that i was denied.

An excellent op shop especially for books which are in the level down the driveway. Heaps of books and in alphabetical order.

I showed my mask exemption, as I wore a loose scarf and was asked to leave. When I think of the support I have given Salvation Army over the years I felt broken at the display of draconian discrimination and the glee that joined it. Saddened and disappointed.

Good little store. Nice, clean and tidy! Staff are friendly, not as packed and over jammed as some other stores which is quite nice. Prices are okay, definitely worth having a look at.

Walked in, no friendly greeting although once I approached with item's of purchase for a friend in need, the serving staff were friendly and helpful, that is until I enquired about an unpriced item. All was going well until the serving attendant came back and said that the manager was too busy to price the item, too busy to attend to a customer and give a few minutes for their right of purchase? Funds of purchase for the people of need and aid. Asked if I could put down a holding deposit and that I would come back, but was refused due to their policy, taken aback I asked if they could hold it for me and that I would return once it is priced and again I was told that my request was not their policy and not possible. Now as far as I'm aware, this is not a Policy stipulated by The Salvation Army, so it appeared that it was purely a personal decision from this charitable branch. I've worked in Charity for decades and have raised vast fund's for those in need. Never in my global working travel's have I come across such unprofessional management service. I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable and it was made very clear that they were happy to take my money but not my concerns. I have contacted Head Office and my hope is that the management & staff of this Charity Branch realise that direct customer service is the face of any charitable foundation and that part of that position, is to price item's donated when a customer is there with the fund's to purchase. A few minutes is all it takes to price an item and to ensure ongoing respect and appreciation towards your customers, just as every branch manager has done in the many state's that I've been to and worked with nationally and internationally, as your customers and their financial purchases are the lifeblood to your charitable organisations support and should be treated with professionalism and respect, always. As anger fades yet, disappointment lingers on and is decremental to any organisation/corporation/foundation. Kia kaha

Staff and warm and friendly, the store is kept clean. There's a wide variety of good's in great condition and good value for money. Unfortunately my visit today was slightly ruined by a Karen, who refused to wear a mask. Drama's! The staff acted appropriately despite being harassed by some fool who refused to wear a mask

Love the store. It has saved our family a truck load of money over the years. Great bargains to be had. For example I was looking for a suit for my son as he was about to venture out into the workforce. Found a lovely bespoke piece which fitted him like a glove. Saville Row tailor to boot. Checked out the price brand new - about 3 grand. Cost to us? About 30 dollars plus seventy to get the leg adjusted. Plenty of other examples I could think of. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Very expensive junk. They pay the rent to the Asian They carry no conscience from paddy fields and have their children and old people receive free education and accommodation. First chance off to Sydney. You will not see the Yellow Man offer any charity.

My experience here has been pretty good each time. They hold your stuff aside as well for your convenience. Decent range of clothes, shoes, home stuff. Have definitely found branded outfits in good coindition for quite cheap:)

Ridiculous prices! Very few middle income earners come here but majority are those struggling they come here because they cant afford brand knew.so greedy wount even barter a lower price to those who are genuinely in need shame on you all christian values what a joke go back and read the bible actually problem is you have non christians in charge of pricing that are DEVILISHLY money hungry.getting staff discounts so much on goods for themselves they have to hike prices up so the less earnings dont show up that there buying everything on there discounts.and that asian manager heartless women i tell you ill pray god puts love and kindness in your heart because your very cold. Dont ruin a good christian store with your lack of compasion. Go to ROYAL OAKS salvation army if you really need to they actually are kind and not greedy showing compassion and christian values.
