Salvation Army Family Store reviews
10Great store friendly service and wide range of items available for sale at very reasonable prices.
I love knick knacks this store is your typical thrift store. A bit of everything.
A cheap $2 Fantail ornament and 2 paua brooches/ I'm a collector of paua ornaments - jewelry 1 a vintage piece $12.
Other the lizard $10. I will return in the future. Who knows what I'll find.
Loved the experience. Prices were really good considering how many opp shop's have increased there price's especially when it is all donated and opp shop's we're for low income families to be able to afford things that they couldn't dream of brand new
Dropped stuff off. Had a look in shop head to remember in getting rid of stuff. Clean shop
There are some really cool things in this store, it is small though, so best to visit when it isn't so busy.
UPDATE: - From 1 star to 3. Good to see the store has now cleaned up their entryway. Stock really needs to be sorted by experienced clothing/bric brac person. Still alot of overpriced junk in the shop which makes up to 90% of the store. Not sure why there is a store there as henderson shop and New Lynn are get pretty low on stock. Better sorters.
.
Reality with this store is junk. Looks like a store where items from other salvation army stores can't sell junk items and ends up here.
They really need someone with retail/stock experience to go in and reorganize the store.
* Layout needs a redo.
* Store needs to be better organized
* Prices are hit and miss
* Just seems untidy with stuff strewn all over the place
* Can't pop in and go directly to houseware as things are scattered.
* Front entrance is an eyesore when you walk in. Huge mess.
Just needs better organization and presentation like their old store.
Needs consistent pricing.
* Have to spend time digging around.
I love browsing in op shops, so it was really good to finally get to pop in, since they relocated. I actually found 3 different sized saucepan lids, with the round knob on the top of the lid. In my experience it's always either or both, the handle on the pan or the knob on the lid that goes 'kaput'. So yeah, great to have functional lids again.
Humiliated me by insisting I show my mask exemption. I can't breathe when I'm wearing a mask. Won't be returning.
As a volunteer I am blessed to meet many walks of life. The customers simply make the store but so do the staff and the on going support of our community and their donations. Thank you
Heaps of bargains to be had. Good 2nd hand store prices, good quality furniture. Super friendly staff. Highly recommend to all ️
