Satay Noodle House reviews
65I used to eat here all the time when I lived in Takanini for 14 years. Now that I live in the city it is a privilege I am rarely able to enjoy. Their food is awesome. Thanks Bun and Team. Still the best Chicken/Sausages Fried Rice!
O.m. Gee just had Satay Noodle House for dinner and it was amazing.
While I drove home, the family inhaled the wontons (thankfully they left me a couple). The delicious smell alone made me want to pull over. But wow they are amazing. Crunchy to perfection and the flavours are delicious.
The chicken Fried Rice is crazy good. Delicious clean flavours as is the Satay Veges on rice noodles. Yum!
Hubby had the Braised Pork Belly and absolutely loved it (ate it all, no leftovers).
Full tummies in our house. We look forward to coming again.
Thanks Team Satay Noodle House
Delicious! Perfect every time, sooo tasty, the wontons are incredible, actually everything is. We drive out from West AKL for this, ten stars also following Bun on Instagram is so good for a laugh and quality yarns
I bought the Vietnamese fried noodles. Bussin. The chef was very accommodating and the food was fresh spicy and tasty. Would go again for sure
Didn’t even think about pictures because I got right in too it, the wontons have the perfect crunch, delish flavour and a great appetiser to the braised pork belly that I had too 100% recommend, would go back again in a heart beat
Best satay noodle soup out. Best wontons out. Best service out. Honestly love it. Always love going here for lunch with my mum and sisters. A must!
Amazing place to eat, great atmosphere, Bun and the team are always putting in the work to make sure they provide the best kai! Proud of the brother. Rewa Hard!
Service was kind of okie. Food was below average. I have had quite big expectation. We ordered different food but they all tasted same. Too greasy and lot of sauce …. Not something that any of us enjoyed.
This is hands down the best restaurant in the whole of auckland, never tried any asian food better before.their fried rice are perfect and their noodles are better than anywhere else.drove 30 mins from pakuranga just to get food from here and will come here every week cause its so cheap honestly should up the prices
Delicious food, solid portions and GOOD VIBES. One of the best spots in the heart of Papakura for a sit-down feed that is great value.
The food is delicious and fresh! Highly recommend the satay chicken! Dim sum also delicious. Very much a self service restaurant get your own water and order at the counter. Very much value for money! I had enough left over for lunch the next day!
Pretty good, I think Cambodians run it. The seafood noodles were good and the curry on rice was good.
Fast clean friendly team. Here can do online order and pick up. A grade hygiene certificate in place, bathroom has been kept clean and tidy manner. A young team seems very passion on what they are doing. Food are priced very reasonably, on average $17 per dish that is enough feed a hungry man.
As always Bun and the team offer great service and excellent food. Can't recommend the beef supreme with rice enough!
We traveled from Glen Eden to try this place after seeing good reviews and following on social media. Pictured is:
-Wontons
-Supreme chicken satay on fried rice
-Shrimp pad thai
The wontons are yum! They taste really meaty with a strong spring onion flavour. Really well seasoned and crunchy.
I can't believe I'm going to say this but the satay Chicken was too sweet and not balanced in flavour! I am someone who loves a sweet satay sauce but this tastes different to say satay sauce that you'd get with chicken satay sticks at a Thai place. Maybe it was just that batch but this was almost sugary and I was guttered because this was the dish I looked forward to the most. Really nice crunchy broccoli in this though.
Prawn pad thai was ok but I prefer the classic flat pad thai noodle. The noodle they used made the dish a bit stodgy, clumping together and the whole thing lacked flavour like it just needed a heap more sauce to take it over the line.
Overall I was pretty disappointed, maybe because I hyped it up in my head so much but overall I think our local thai does a better chicken vege satay and pad thai.
Would come back to try some of the other dishes though like a different noodle dish, satay fried rice and the satay noodle soup. Mightve just been an off day.
We went to dine in once and the food wasn't great. Gave them another chance but were again disappointed. Food was flavourless and there were hardly any vegetables in the noodles. Prices online don't match what they're charging in store. Wouldn't go there again.
This place does amazing food.
Theor stay sauce is really tasty with a slight Chilli kick to it which is perfect over theor fried rice.
The pork belly is so soft and trendy and they broth is to die for.
The noodles are perfectly cooked with amazing flavours.
Very generous servings.
The hardest part is what to try next
I had high expectations after seeing the review from Chasing a plate youtube channel. Khmer curry was average IMHO, I wish they had added more sweetness to contrast, but on the other spectrum It also had no salt which I had to add. The wontons were light and crispy but the pork filling was not fresh, like when pork gets old and goes slightly sour. Rice was fluffy and perfect.also, we're told the portions are big, but it seems that must be only for eat in option as takeaway was a small portion, the curry juice was also well below how you would fill a container. I won't judge the entire menu from this experience but indeed trusted the review and was unfortunately let down. I cook SE asian food often, and used to chef before covid so I do understand intricacy of flavours and the importance of fresh ingredients. Hopefully my next visit is a better Experience. Thankyou
Tried this restaurant for the first time. Ordered via phone call. Customer service was awesome. Picked up and it was hot, nicely packed for me to pick up. Beautiful layout. Super clean too. We ordered 3 sets of 6 prawn twisters, combination fried rice, seafood soup, Pad Tai, braised pork belly with rice. I liked everything. I didn't love it.but I definitely liked it. And I would go back. Hubby liked it too. Everything was fresh. It is quite pricey too. But yeah would definitely go back
Boy oh boy, that was some tasty as food. Love the environment and the awesome vibes the owner and staff bring. The food is made with love as if ya mum was out back putting it together! Will definitely keep going here for my satay fix.
