Select Lawn Mowing Papatoetoe & Mangere

Didn't arrive on the day he was meant to and never line trimmed the front of my fence.

These guys overcharge and don't take the clippings despite charging for it. Very sad and dishonest way to do business.

I received a quote from select to mow the lawns at two houses in Weymouth. The price clearly quoted the inclusion of both houses on the site, and taking clippings. However, the mowing person only ever mowed the front house. The property is tenanted so it took some time before I noticed this. When I queried it there was no apology from Select for the service failure all those months, just an apology that the quote was incorrect. What about the money I paid for a service that wasn't delivered? Now I receive a new, higher quote, which I am obviously not keen to accept unless I first am refunded for all the mows that only covered half the agreed land.

In the most recent property inspection report, I now see that the person was also dumping the clippings in the garden, not removing as per the quote & agreement.

I am really disappointed that a) they dump the clippings but charge to remove b) they quote low then raise the price later c) they haven't offered any refund or compensation.

I tried to receive these resolutions but essentially select say it's up to the contractor, but the contractor didn't set the price, Select did. Talk about leaving the franchisee high and dry.

I would not have posted this negative feedback had I received the service per the quote, or compensation for the lack of service to what was agreed, but Select do not feel that they owe either of these.

I was contacted by select and after showing evidence to substantiate my points a refund was offered. I'm happy with reaolution but disappointed this was so hard, both to receive the service I paid for and / or to be refunded.

If someone is looking to buy select lawnmowing business. Guys please be aware you will be in a big trouble if you buy one. They dont give you any work after you buy one + franchise fee every month will be too high for you to pay. Never buy there business. No franchisee is happy as you can see on trade me there are lots of select Lawnmowing business on sale because no one is happy as every one wants to sell and get rid of them. They dont treat there franchisee very well.

The above comment from whoever is ridiculous, that has nothing to do with select lawnmowers expertise in lawnmowing. Reviews are for comments re workmanship. But hey Select due to this I am going to use you, so far booking and quote was received with the utmost polite well mannered man. Thank you:)

Their ground worker does not even know to give way on the road. Causing unsafe driving and afraid for people to drive.
