Seoul Night reviews
50Best food I've had in a long while. Definitely recommend. Slushy soju was refreshingly cold. The food was Definitely top tier for me. Ordered pork ribs and it was fall off the bone delicious. OG chicken with the sauces were so good together and we couldnt stop eating them. That mac n cheese hit the spot! Kimchi fried rice was good too. Can't wait to come back again.
Fun, tasty, great location and great service.
Have been in many restaurants in Auckland and this continues to be my favourite?
So glad to have found this place in the cbd. The food was incredible and so were the cocktails! The only downside for us was where we were seated. It had a very bright spotlight on the table compared to the rest of the restaurant, which is very dark and moody (in a good way!). Service was also great. Can't wait to go back again.
I went to the Seoul night today. I was surprised how bad food quality is now. I had rosemary chicken like 2 years ago and it was really nice, so I ordered same one today. The portion was so small and lots of crumbs there instead of chicken pieces and there were way too many rice cakes. It is called Rosemary chicken, but no flavor at all, just few decorations there. I feel like they have increased prices, but the quality of food gets worse.
Also we ordered a glass of tap beer and it was a joke. They served the beer with a tiny glass. We have never seen that size of beer glass ever. We were really not happy to pay $11 for that small glass of beer.
I really don’t think I want to go to this restaurant again.
Honestly the food here is delicious however the portions have gotten so small that it’a not even worth the price anymore. The fried chicken used to come on a huge platter with fries and side dishes and now it comes in a smaller bowl, literally all dishes have significantly decreased, it’s a rip off at this point. Consider going back to the original portions…
The food was great, it’s a bit pricey.atmosphere was amazing,
Customer service here is questionable. I spilled half of beer on my pants, a waitress defo saw me however she just walked away like she saw none. I thought she might be very busy but she was just standing at the counter doing literally nothing.
Later a waiter brought me some more tissues after I talked to him. He was nice. But overall it was quite disappointing.
Really enjoyed dining here - very different from the usual. Decor & atmosphere was great. Really enjoyed the Yum Yum Chicken recommended by the waitress and Soju which I'd never tasted before was pretty good. An enjoyable dinner all around & pretty reasonable pricing. Would like to come back again & try something else on the menu & try different flavourful soju's
Incredible! Best place in Auckland! Foods and cocktails are amazing! Thank so much! Very nice evening in this place! And the restaurant is very beautiful!
Last Sunday, I met up with my boyfriend and three of his friends at this cozy restaurant. The drinks and service were good, but I’m not sure how the other friends felt about the food. My boyfriend said his chicken meal was okay, but the Pork Belly Meal that I ordered was salty and didn’t taste like the pork belly I had at another Korean restaurant. The meat slice was too thin to feel the taste of Pork Belly. On the bright side, we all loved the potato chips!
The food.is to die for. The Rose Tteokbokki was gone pretty much as soon as it hit the table and did not disappoint. And the Basil Soba Salad *chefs kiss*. The atmosphere was great, but I'm I weird for wanting to see my food while I eat it? Because it was a little dark so maybe just add a few more jars of twinkle lights or something as I understand you move tables around to accommodate bookings. And the toilet’s were kinda trashed. But back to the food. As my first proper try of Korean cuisine, I can happily say that I left wanting more:)
Great ambience, can be a bit noisy at time, but that adds to the street food experience. Loved the Soju (got a summer special flavoured soju) and the fried chicken with their house sauce, it was incredibly delicious!
Can be a bit of a wait, reserve in advance if possible!
Great Tasting Korean Food. Relatively cheaper dining when compared to similar options, but with no compromises on quality.
We came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday. It has a nice dark alley vibe with neon lights.the food was really good and would definitely recommend. The drinks on the other hand was weak. Feels like it has been watered down and overpriced -they need to up their cocktail game in my opinion. Otherwise 4/5 first impression
Been here 5 times already and the rose chicken is a must it’s soo creamy and packed with so much flavour! One of the best pastas I’ve ever had highly recommend
Fried chicken is to die for, the soy sauce one! We also had kumara pizza, kimchi fried rice is so good! I also like spicy sticky rice cake. Feel like back in Seoul! Strongly recommend!
Ordered 500g of chicken nibbles and got 7 nibbles for $26. Kimchi fried rice was ok, very little pork in it though for the price. Left a bit disappointed.
We ordered a few different type of chicken dish and rice cake and grilled pork. The taste of all food and atmosphere are nice especially grill pork was nice.
But i felt like the price of the food we had are a bit expensive. Like a bit small portion of original chicken (compared to price) but too much chips.
The price of the cocktail and sangria etc is reasonable and good but i felt only a bottle of soju product is $21 i won't feel like I want to order it.
If the price is a bit cheaper or have good balance amount of chicken i would be happy to come again.
Went here a couple of days ago with 3 friends and it was soooo good! We ordered the rose chicken pasta and the original fried chicken which was a pretty decent size (we were satisfyingly full at the end). Service was great and the wait wasn't too long for the food (we went around 6: 30pm). Will def be back here again.
The staff are really nice and look after each customer very well.
The food, ambiance and choice of music is excellent!
Must try korean restaurant when you visit Auckland
KIMCHI FRIED RICE was my favourite dish on the menu! Very tasty and the tornado egg ontop was very cool! Everything I tried was delicious. Also I would highly recommend trying a Soju Slushier, we had Watermelon and it tasted like it was just the fruit freshly blended. Most items we tried had a little kick of spice so keep this in mind.
