So glad I backtracked and went to this local sewing shop after visiting a bigger generic store who were useless. Tim's knowledge and friendliness about their machines, advice about what would best for me, upselling without overselling, guidance and all round ability to
answer all my questions made my day. Went home very happy with my new purchase. I'll be back.

Very nice place. The people are super friendly and helpful. Their Thursday and Friday drop in classes are very useful. You have to book a spot. You get lots of attention.

So impressed by the help I received today with my temperamental over locker. Thinking it might be a costly exercise, the assistant (sorry I should have asked your name) suggested she look at it before sending to a technician. Up to an hour later problem solved! Sewing Machine World is old school and I love it. The service is friendly and knowledgable. They don't have a great website for online shopping but trust me if you head instore they have reasonably priced haberdashery, knitting yarn and lots of quilting fabric and supplies. You can also order products over the phone.

The sewing machines are not as competitively priced as the big box stores like Spotlight, but unlike Spotlight, you get product demonstrations, service and help when you need it. I bought my first overlocker here and all the Sewing Machine World team have given me help learning to use it.

Great service every supply you will ever need for sewing im not sure if they still do this but a few years ago they provided sewing lessons and my sister loved that.

The most lovely little shop in all of Onehunga! They don't have any wool that is sparkly, but they have every other color!

Love it! I purchased my first bernina machine from them over 35 years ago and it just died before Xmas.it was a no brainer to go back to get another one.this time a janome which I am very happy with.
