Shoe Clinic Ponsonby

I had an outstanding experience at Ponsonby Shoe Clinic! Their customer service exceeded my expectations. I originally visited to change my shoes, but the staff went above and beyond by recommending a different brand and providing me with a perfect pair of new shoes. I can't express how satisfied I am – it's beyond 100%! The team's knowledge and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set them apart. I highly recommend Ponsonby Shoe Clinic for exceptional service and quality footwear.

I have been to Shoe Clinic twice and been recommended inadequate shoes twice - Nike the first time, Brookes more recently. My toes popped through the mesh of the Nike, and my arch always felt uncomfortable in the Brookes.

Trained for and ran Napier Half and The Goat in the Nike, Rotorua and Auckland Half in the Brookes.

Had an interesting chat with a sales guy at Athletes Foot today. He said the Brookes I was running in were for a high arch.which would explain why I always found them uncomfortable.

Moral of the story - run in what you feel comfortable in (this has been Asics for me over the last 30 years), rather than getting "advice" to try different shoes.

Professional service, good range of options. Helpful but not over the top with constantly being beside you. I would go there again.

After a couple of years of painful feet from walking using regular sports shoes visited Shoe Clinic. Brendan was so knowledgeable and talented and run some diagnostics on their equipment and it was such an eye opener for me.

Brendan took the time to show me what was wrong in my walking style and foot posture due to fatigue. And prescribed a suitable shoe for my feet. Tried the shoe and could instantly feel the difference in my feet. Further tested my walking on the treadmill which had cameras and the shoes completely changed my walking posture.

Walked back about 4km back to Auckland CBD and it was an incredible feeling and no pain in my feet.

The store has various sports shoes, sport clothing on display for ladies, gents and children too.

The store is at pavement level and easily accessible by wheelchair. The store is on a two way road and close to an intersection and a bus stop, so parking is not possible on the road.

The shoes are reasonably priced and very good quality.

Was served by Andre today, knowledgeable, professional and extremely helpful. Highly recommend.

I went in to buy an upgrade for my current running shoes and Brendan was awesome in helping me choose my next pair. Knowledgeable and helpful throughout. I will definitely be returning when buying my next pair here.

My goto place for sports shoes the last 7 odd years. The service is great.there’s sufficient parking. The place is organised and their returns policy is just super. I buy 2 pairs per annum. Post pics tomorrow.

Excellent product range, great service, been served by Brendan, come over here and he will look after your needs. I purchased oofos sandels they are super comfy light and supportive for my needs.

Mike spent the time with me last year getting me the right pair of shoes. I’d pretty much worn them out as they’ve been awesome and I’ve done a lot of time in them. I reached out recently to see what options were for a new pair, and he managed to find me an exact replacement pair which turned up within a week for me. Amazing service and I love my shoes.

Fantastic service today. I was looking for a shoe specifically for gym training. After watching me do a few movements and measuring my feet, I was given a couple of options of shoe and found the perfect pair. Efficient, friendly knowledgeable service.

I had initially gone to Shoe Science, but was told they don’t have shoes designed for gym work - just running. So I was feeling a bit down … Shoe Clinic made me relieved there was a shoe for my needs and I walked away very happy.

I just had the best poditary shoe fitting experience with Mike (the store Owner) and his right hand man Brendan. I turn 46 years old next week and I wanted to treat myself by investing in supportive, lite and comfortable trail running and casual/running shoes. Mike with his 20+ year's expertise on shoe fittings knew his trade, and I was enlightened by my running form and the best shoes for my feet. I trusted Mike's recommendation and purchased the shoes and socks that will motivate and encourage my love of trail running. Best service ever Mike and I'll come back with my nephew. Another fun fact, Mike initiated the waterin aluminium cans, to avoid using plastic bottles and Shoe Clinic head office rolled this idea out to all their stores. Great recycling initiative ️Keep up the great service!

Went in this morning and was amazed at the customer service!

Mike spent a good chunk of time asking questions and using technology to figure out what kind of shoe would work best for me, explained in great detail about why it’s going to work and how it will support my feet. Very pleased with the customer service and shoes.

Mike & the team at SCP took care of my needs and made sure the shoes that were for me were the absolute best for me.

Store was quite busy when I went but managed to be looked after quite quickly by the staff, explained my foot problem and they showed me several shoe options and tested on the treadmill, happy with my new shoes.

The team has looked after me very well. Stock is always on hand for when I need it, or is only a day or two away if they're sold out, which considering their great customer service, I expect them to be sold out!
There is no other shoe store I would rather shop at.
Shoe Clinic Ponsonby is the way retail shopping should be!

Has some very good staff.
My personal experience there was the best I have ever had when buying shoes.from the service right to the shoe recommendation.
I went there with a complaint about hip and leg pain and walked our nearly instantly pain free.
I would recommend shopping here.
