Recently I migrated from overseas to set up a bar and restaurant business in Christchurch. I was in urgent need for some storage facilities for my property plant and equipment. So I leased a warehouse and then realised I needed some pallet racking and also multifunctional racking. I contacted SHOPFITS as I had heard from some local businesses that they had been assisted by them. The team at SHOPFITS were fantastic for numerous reasons:
- They provided an amazing design which was fully customised to my requirements
- They were fast friendly and hassle free
- The director even attended my phone calls in the middle of the night to address some queries and then also made a trip down from Auckland to ensure that I was happy with his teams efforts.

I made the mistake of engaging this organisation to do a $26K simple Galley Kitchen.

They got absolutely everything wrong, it was 3 months late, damaged, and not completed. Their only cabinet maker at the time, Norman, is completely inexperienced because the finished was absolute shocking.

The cabinets knock the sides, runners don't close properly, the whole kitchen is not level, all the cabinets arrived scratched, cabinets sat around in my lounge uninstalled for weeks while the made excuses why they haven't installed them yet, shelf's were are not completed, edges of the cabinetry are damaged because they were cut with the wrong thing, cabinets aren’t flush and not straight, they used white glue on a black kitchen, hinges incomplete, Fridge integration was not done, there are different sized gaps where the facings meet.

What was built, was not the same as the plans. Every measurement and handle was changed without confirming it with me. They lost the plan and "made up" what suited them. When I complained, the office lady, Kirsten tired to tell me I had to pay another $4K to "redesign" the issues.

Harvy Bhatti, the "Project manager" tells you everything is organised and they will take care of all the issues, but NOTHING actually happens. He was extremely frustrating to deal with and clearly very inexperienced.

If you are looking for unskilled, terrible quality, rude and difficult staff you will find it at shopfits kingsland.

I have used Shopfits for my Supermarket Fitout. Extremely good design and fitout. Would highly recommend.

I worked alongside Shopfits for an upcoming project - the guys here are just absolutely fantastic to deal with. They made the whole process seamless, amazing communication and and eye for perfection. The team work very well together, and had everything done on time the first time! Great design team, and the factory staff is friendly. I used these guys for my bar design and total fitout and will be using them again for sure. All budget and targets were on point as the design in house and fit aswell.
