Adventurous food but not stupid. Everything done perfectly. A restaurant where you can easily converse, sample slowly and let all your senses take control.

Impeccable service. Very good cocktails.

We chose to go for three courses. Beef tartare was memorable with a twist. Our mains were slightly underwhelming but tasty.

Desserts were probably the highlight and saving grace of our meal. A wonderful end to dinner.

I'm quite disappointed.why is food prices so cheap 50 bucks for a platter why is it so cheap at least make it 250 bucks.disappointed mate.

Expensive, but we'll worth the experience. Another level in terms of fine dining.

Food on a par with Inca, but it's the extras around it that make the experience.

Sid at the French Cafe, arguably the most classy and elegant dining restaurant in Auckland. Starting from impeccable service to delicious stunning food. We order a la carte which is a 3 courses. The team carter the food to our dietary requirements. Every item we had was carefully designed and explained to us in details. They also served complementary dishes in between our dishes. All together service was top notch, food was incredible with fantastic wine selection.

Stunning food and impeccable service. Great flavour combinations and the team catered to our different dietary requirements very well (diary-free, vegan, pregnant). Has a little bar at the entrance if you turn up early and a white-tablecloth fine-dining vibe inside. We could see the kitchen from our table which was fun!

3.5/5. A very mixed experience. The service was impeccable. The food was varied, we got the 7 course degustation. Highlights were the canapés and the lamb tartare and truffle ice cream. Low lights the hapuka had a couple of scales, the quail was definitely undercooked for one of us and the short rib was ok. The menu also seems a bit confused with no real flow. The cocktails were very poor and not tasty at all.

I am very disappointment about New Years we going diner but service of people dont know how explain about wine.it take little cheap wine white from South Africa just I say not worth delicious wine just it do exchange wine French starbourgs wine white dry that's little better but it say extra pay. I feel that's not appointment.and food is little okay.:/ it say go soon close 10 pm we am very dispointement this sitation for special day New Years bring champagne and happy party.that's early close time we going sleep but I am very sad. I advice not worth this price and not reason for food and wine.:/

Booked for 7 dishes, but got very full so changed it to 5. Very unusual and delicious food. Totally recommended.

A perfect dinner! Our meals were scrumptious. We had the 3 course set with a fantastic wine. Service was we were looked after so well by the young Indian lady. Loved it here!

Went for 31st dinner. Great food, great service. Really fast food service. Maybe a bit too fast as we felt a bit rushed.

My friend had her wedding here in April 2021. The food was an intrepid journey from start to finish - couldn't fault a single dish. Every item was well thought-out and carefully designed.

Delicious. We tried the tasting menu at 160$ per person. The lamb and pork were amazing. Appetizer and dessert were also nice. It’s a bit hard to book, so try to book early. Service was great, although it is weird there is a tip section at the bill.

We had the French @ Home during lockdown for a birthday dinner and cannot speak highly enough of it. The quality of the food, the ease of putting it together, the taste, and value. Would recommend to anyone wanting a nice dinner at home.
