The team is very friendly and really good at communication and follow ups. Shane Austin is certified, very knowledgeable and experienced person. He recommended us the best and efficient products for our home based on our needs. He has provided a quote with reasonable price and interest free payment options. Also he has provided us some discounts. We are really happy to recommend Shane and the team Brightr for anyone who wants to do maintenance or add additional value to their property with Insulation, Heat pumps, LED Light options, Bathroom fans, etc. Thank you team for the great service.

We have received wonderful service from Brightr. Right from the beginning when we purchased our heat pump and underfloor insulation we have received excellent communication, and particularly during the first lockdown last year when an extension of payments was offered to allow us to recover from the effects of lockdown, until our recent service of our unit, we have received exemplary service and communication. We would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I'd give them a zero if I could- terrible communication, no follow up to let me know what the issues were. I've emailed and had nothing back. If you are considering using them, don't!

Our rental property was scheduled for an insulation inspection and quote. After 2 weeks of waiting and called 3 times to follow up, finally they told me no one turned up and no report done. No one bothers to contact me that it was not done, so I can reschedule it right away and liaise with my tenant. What a waste of time. Very bad in communication and very unprofessional.

I was scheduled in today for an insulation inspection and quote but no one turned up despite me receiving a confirmation text earlier this morning.

Definitely won't be bothering with this company again. What a giant waste of time.

They did not finish the underfloor insulation and I have been chasing them up for months now to get it done with no results. Very poor communication overall, rarely you might get a manager on the line who will apologize and assure you that they will give you call and try to fix your problems which gets some traction initially but in the end its all the same - you have to keep calling and chasing them up.

Had 4 different assessments of my home to get the insulation certificate. Told new issues each time. This Auckland branch seem to be very poor in communication and seems lack of a system when doing these assessments. I asked for a call back before the latest assessment to check something and they assured me someone would call me. They didn't. Had I known the information I now know, would have saved me 3 trips (2 hours away) to meet them. Now I have complained, I have to wait for the regional manager to go to the property. Another hassle and it's disruptive for my tenant. Just want it all over! Wouldn't use them or recommend them at all.

We have had 8 Heat Pumps Installed with this Company in Whangarei. The Sales Rep was very informative and helpful, and all Units were installed very efficiently by a friendly team. Unfortunately with the last two units we had to wait two weeks for the Electrician to activate them

Outstanding service, came to assess my home the next day, and installed the following week. Excellent customer service over the phones/email, and the installers were very polite! After being mucked around for weeks by Greenside Energy you guys were a much needed breath of fresh air, thank you!

Smart Energy Solutions have been outstanding. We made an inquiry for insulation through the Warmer Kiwi Homes programme and Smart Energy Solutions was one of 4 companies in the Auckland area that was engaged in helping us with the assessing the house and getting it properly insulated. Right from the start Smart Energy Solutions stood out among the rest; they were incredibly efficient, the team were extremely knowledgeable and easy to deal with, and the we couldn't be more pleased with the end result. The install team did a wonderful job in putting in our insulation and we have noticed a huge difference in the warmth of our home going into winter. I would highly recommend Smart Energy Solutions to anyone thinking about insulating or heating their home.

This was a disaster from the start of the first call, they seem very confused and relay incorrect information to the customer. I agree ECCA should remove them. I called ECCA and was informed I was in fact given the incorrect information.
They did wear a mask BUT did not clean any surfaces they touched.
The communication is shocking.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Came to do the insulation and did the worst job. Nails are all over the place in garage after insulation. Assessor came to the property and refused to provide the quotation for heat pump under 67% subsidy and said subsidy would not make any difference and cost you same. After getting installed privately found out subsidy was still applicable.

Chrystal said it all really, this firm is very unprofessional and after being mucked around and after reading these reviews we cancelled our job when they didn't turn up today. When I ring to see if they where going to get here I was told they had called us and left a message on our answer phone (don't have an answer phone) also they don't do ceilings in the afternoon as it's too hot (our three appointment dates where all made for 1.30) so I think we did the wise thing, thanks for reviews

Very very poor customer service and lack of communication. Even though they confirm your booking for installation "Be Aware" they won't show up and won't even bother to inform you. I ended up waiting for them for more than 1 hour until I made a call and found out the appointed installer still at other job.really. Who should notify that? Finally arranged another installer, who was a good guy and did his job well.

My advice to the person who looks after the appointments - Take your job seriously, communicate with your customers, update them with any changes and just don't give lame excuse that you are busy: (

This company needs to lose its EECA contract. They refuse to complete the job to the NZS4246 thermal insulation standard as required by EECA.

They have had three installers and two auditor visits who have all failed to rectify the insulation in compliance with the standard.

The auditors don't even know the standard requirements they are meant to be auditing against. I had to inform them of what the requirements are! The document is free on the EECA website.

EECA has been contacted to come and audit the property as it is not acceptable to be taking advantage of vulnerable people like this.

Poor customer service overall. Booked insulation and noone turned up. Called multiple times, noone returned my call trying to get an explanation. Had to rebook, then got a call saying they were overbooked and can we arrange a new time. No reason provided as to why they didn't turn up, and noone did anything to try and fix it.
Seems like admin team time allowances don't align with install time.
Could not recommend due to frustration, however Serena (arranging quote) and Vince (last guy we dealt with for install) were excellent to deal with and helpful. Pity about the rest of the staff and processes.
