I've tried to make an online booking but can't, I need to wait for someone to call me back.
I want to ask a simple question and am finding it harder than talking to IRD.
I'm now going to start ringing other auto glass companies to see if I can talk to someone and get an answer to a simple question.

The Penrose branch was great. However the first time when I got there, I was told the warehouse sent them a wrong piece. I had to come the next Friday. I had to cancel my work for that. Should try Novas!

Organized my windscreen to be replaced end of january. Only place that could do it on a Saturday was the Glenfield branch so I drove from Pohoi there only to be told my windscreen hadn't even arrived, so arranged for the next Saturday. Then I get a message saying I'm booked in for a random Wednesday which I couldn't get to. They then told me I couldn't book another Saturday appointment until March. Very disappointed

Got quoted $670 to replace the rear quarter glass on a 2006 RAV4. Absolute insanity for one of the easiest and smallest replacements to do. I bought the glass elsewhere for $125 and I’ll do it myself and save the whopping $545 thanks. Wouldn’t bother going here unless you have glass cover and your insurer allows it.

DO NOT GO TO SMITH AND SMITH!

Absolutely do not go here. I ordered a glass for my car and had to pay half the fee as a kind of bond. They got back to me telling me the glass couldn’t be provided. I asked for my refund and they said they would refund me as soon as possible. It have been nearly a month and I have not received my refund. I have contacted them multiple times and they have said they’ll get on to it but it’s been nearly 2 month. Absolutely shocking service for a company like this.

Worst company ever to deal with.
Have tried with two cars. Had to cancel both times as couldn't get work done on requested date or agreed date.
Didn't turn up when booked, or the next day. No communication.hopeless. Will never try again.

First visit was the week of the 18th November 19, told me screen would be there next week, rang them week 8th December, told me order had been cancelled, wouldn't tell me by whom, not me, went to appointment in January, wrong screen, finally got one fitted 11th February, screen look's good, But thanks for the dent in the bonnet.

Absolute Nightmare!
do not take your vehicle to Smith and Smith.
Dented my door from the inside somehow when changing my window, dug holes in my door skin and damaged it removing it.took 3 attempts to change a smashed drivers window and 2.5 months later still trying to get money out of them for the dent repair.
IF YOU LIKE YOUR VEHICLE THE WAY IT IS DO NOT GO THERE!

I booked the car for a new windscreen to be done at home. Didn't arrive so on checking found they had given me the wrong date Also spent an hour with much time on hold and waiting for a call back. No help whatsoever. Car was due to be traded the next day. Should have learnt. Now been bitten three times.

I had broken window on my van 2 weeks ago. I booked in S&S St. Lukes and went there today on time during work. S&S arranged wrong size glass and asked me to wait 3hrs to arrange right glass. I came back 3hrs later then they arranged wrong size glass again. They said I have to rebook to replace it and earlist day to book was next Friday! S&S wasted my time and this was the lowest service I v ever got. Absolutely NOT recommend.

I had my car windscreen replaced by Smith & Smith Hamilton about a week ago. I give then 3/10 for their service. I spent about 2.5 hours there and there was no smile on the staff's faces. There was a notice in the shop about customer review which read that all windows including rear vision mirror should be cleaned, car vacuumed, and 2 mints to be left in car before handing the car back to customers to achieve a 100% customer satisfaction. These things were not done at all. There was dirt on the dashboard. They also broke some plastic clips and rubber panels during the process and refused to replace those damaged clips saying it was wear and tear and they can only tape them although it was a insurance job. However I had no option but to replace the broken clips and rubber trim myself. I don't recommend them to anyone as I will personally never ever go there.

UNPROFESSIONAL. Went on 6 nov to get my windscreen replaced the technician said we’ve only got request for chip repair as i clearly told the customer service on the phone for replacement so they gave me next day appointment. I went yesterday as my appointment was at 2 so the technician told me its going to take 3 hours and i had to wait. So after 2 hours and 15 mins they took my car in to get the windscreen replace and after 20 mins a technician comes to me and says that we have ordered wrong windscreen for your car. I mean how unprofessional these guys are that they cannot even get the things right and the technician even checked the windscreen before that if it has arrived and he couldn’t figure out the difference between the windscreens. After wasting 3 hours no one cared to apologise and asked me for another appointment which i guess no one wants after terrible experience.

From the point of contact on the phone to the guy who gave me the keys to my car.efficient, polite and helpful. The downside to offering great service is they are ALWAYS busy which means there is a wait. #worthit

Really recommend Peter and Mohammed. Polite, fast and efficient. Done a nice job on my motor home windscreen. They even put the 5 new labels (for RUC, Rego, weight, self containment, NZMCA member card.) on a slight angle so it's easy to remove contents, and at a lower level so it doesn't obstruct passengers view. Refreshing to receive exceptional service. Thanks Smith and Smith for sending some top guys.

Went in for a small chip repair, s+s didn't return my calls to even make the booking, so I had to call them multiple times, small chip repair somehow turned into a windscreen replacement, where my vehicle was also damaged. S+s denied all responsibility. Tried calling but s+s didn't return my calls. S+s emailed a survey as well and at the end said that someone would be in contact within 48 hours, 4 weeks later and nothing.
Won't be going back.

One broken windscreen on a nearly new car and it took S&S nearly 4 months and 3 windscreens later to have may car back on the road again. Not only was the car damaged on every occasion but it took a while to find someone that actually cared about what was going on. Am still waiting for an apology from S&S management but won't be holding my breath. I have never come across such a high level of ineptitude.don't use S&S is my advice.

Had my windscreen repaired with Smith&Smit. Everything was easy and the mobile technician did a great job from keeping me informed on his ETA to replacing my windscreen. Well recommended.
