Spark Arena reviews
62 Need to care about car parking if you ride your own car. Closest parking place is a bit expensive: (
Food/drink shops inside the arena are brilliant. Thank you for your wonderful service & smile:)
Great concert but not a fan of indoor venues! The drinks lines were minimal though and managed well so that was a bonus!
Went to the Rock 2000 countdown concert here.
Awesome night, plenty of availability for drinks, not much food options though.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
I went to the P1harmony concert last Sunday, and I was very happy with my experience.
The place was really clean and had free water even on the outside while we waited in line. All the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful.
The only problem I found was that they should have organised the lines better. I had my ticket reallocated, and I was lucky I got in the right line by chance, but the mother and daughter in front of me were in the wrong place and had to line again allll the way to the back.
For the concert, I felt like the camera work could've been better, but otherwise it was an incredible performance.
This is by far the worst venue I have ever been too, its absolute garbage for music sound quality and the seats are terrible. They also want stupid money to park the car for a few hours. I will never go there again even if it was the last show of my favorite band.
1st time here, easy to find your way around and all round good service definitely be going back for future concerts
Amazing went to 1d and a couple of other concerts and let me just say I cried like a baby. I'm like these celebrities are people too and then I see them and I'm having a complete melt down.
Watched The Lion King Musical in soark arena.it was amazing. Great great show. The arena was too big for the show though, a show that great needs to be in a more enclosed area.the cast were great especially the little simba. He had so much talent, and of course everubody else.they showed so much love to arts and so much talent.overall, it was a great experience.
Wifi coverage could be improved inside the venue. Facilities and amenities very good although more seating could be beneficial. Staff are always friendly and very helpful in times of confusion.
Very hard for older people to get in and out of their seat rows and not enough lighting in the top stalls to descend safely. Staff were excellent
Spark Arena is easy to access. I paid a ridiculous amount for a drink of water which had to be poured into a cup. I would have like to take the bottle. However I could have had a free cup if I had waited in line. You live and learn. Overall great experiences there. Friendly helpful staff.
Lion King was an awesome experience. The Arena was laid out very well for an elderly woman with mobility issues (mum). Easy access to the floor seating (which is raised) and toilet queues moved quickly. More seating in the foyer would have been appreciated.
Great arena that provides events for a large array of shows, performances, graduations, art galleries, etc. I have gone many times throughout the years and have generally had a great experience. Concessions are (understandably) expensive and the seats are quite tightly packed, but overall it’s the best place for venues in NZ.
Most squashed arena I've ever been to in terms of seating size, platform width and space in between seats. Was actually really put off, I'm a small girl but anyone could easily loose their footing and go toppling over into the lower aisles. Will def avoid future concerts and productions here
Spark Arena staff were very helpful. The show that I watched was sold-out (July 11 2021) and the ushers did a great job getting people seated.
The food was OK. The arena was clean inside and out. The seats are close together, but that is what you get at large venues.
Do to a disability on arrival not walking across the entrance way staff came to me and directed me and my group to the appropriate easier access places, staff in the arena were also immediately helpful.
Adore large shows here! I would recommend taking public trabspto the city, having some food before the show and miss the crush of traffic on your way home.
Lion King live show was FANTASTIC!
We attended the last and final show, We had 1min left till showtime and also had my 21yr son who is in a wheelchair, Cerebal Palsy, Quadraplegia. The security and Ushers were amazing! They had a chain of communication from the entrance up to the upper levels to get us to our seats. Getting out of the lift on the wheelchair bay level, we realized we had brought the wrong tickets we had seconds to get to our seats which was on another level and "not" wheelchair bay. Performers were starting to get into place for the show on the wheelchair bay level and needed the isles cleared! The fast and efficient decisions and Professionalism of the security staff got us to our "new" seats with 5seconds to spare! It made our first time experience definitely a memorable one! (Had to quickly turn it into an exciting adventure so my son wouldn't get upset because we made the mistake.) They came in and saved us!
Thank you to all the security and venue staff for guiding us safely in and around the Arena, even helping direct traffic after the show to get my son into his vehicle safely! And he LOVED the show! A 21st birthday we will never forget! Lessons learnt with many blessings
Magnificent Arena with excellent facilities.
Multi functionality (sports like we've just witnessed netball, basketball etc, concerts, awards/ dinner etc etc
Show was great, but the venue gets really warm, and they really cram in as many seats as they can. Concessions are also kinda pricy, so maybe eat beforehand?
