Special Pot 虾吃瞎涮 reviews
28It’s really delicious and the portion is huge. After asking the owner carefully, it turns out that only the twice-cooked pork cooked by Chengdu people is so delicious!
So affordable compared to other hot pot places! And the family that run it are LOVELY! It always makes you enjoy food more. The broth and soup is very nice and the dumplings are too.
Worth trying, my new favourite!
Maratang Maraxiangguo restaurant.recommended!
The grandmother at the counter is so kind and cute.
The price range isn't bad either.
I had a great dinner in this store.: D
not expensive but so yummy!
Special pot is a special place. It is run by a special mom and pop couple who are very nice and speak little English. The special dish is a mala pot where u choose the ingredients from the fridge and they fry it up in a special sauce which is very delicious. There's minimal seats in the special pot so not good for big groups. Lots of vegetables to choose from along with various meats. All germs are killed in the heat of the wok.
Overall zero ambience but the food is bussin and very reasonable.
It’s so nice overall with reasonable price. The seaweed salad has lots of Sichuan peppercorn flacks and it’s heaven!
BEST dumplings in Auckland! Perfect dough (thin) to filling ratio. Veg/Vegan options too. Lovely couple who run the place too. Highly recommend.
The best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to, very nice price and yummy food, service is great! Will definitely come back again!
Food smells amazing and tastes delicious every time Ive been here. Yummy food and a decent portion for a great price! Family owned restaurant very sweet and so polite. Will definitely come and order again!
Was excited to try this place after reading good reviews but very disappointed, limited selection of ingredients, they were all sad looking, most food was not available as I could see lots of empty containers on the shelf. A lot of MSG! A lot! I couldn't finish my food, had to throw away. I could tell it is a family run business, felt bad leaving such a review wish they could see my review. Won't be returning for sure.
The flavour is really good and the staffs are very friendly. Looking forward to see more seafood in the cabinet
I‘ve been coming here a lot for the past few years, it’s one of my favourite eateries. I always want to try the other dishes but the dry mala pot is just that good that I have to order it every time… Their dumplings are also handmade and very tasty! Their prices in general are very good ($3.30 for 100g for the pick your own mala), I usually get around $30-40 worth if I’m sharing with another person.
The family that run the place are also really friendly!
Braised beef on rice to die for great service the owners are like grandparents serving food to Thea grandchildren made with love
Definitely not some fancy restaurant
Typical family style chinese.
Frankly speaking a bit hesitate to try but returns an amazing experience!
What a great cooking skill and nicely done hot chili source making this awesome food!
Don't judge a book by its cover. This is it!
Well priced and tasty dry pot restaurant.
The place looks more hygienic than other places, looks like a family run business and are very friendly.
Great for takeaway too as a late night snack after gym.

Their soup and stirfries have so much flavour.their non spicy option is also packed with flavour. And I think that's why their spicy versions are so tasty, is because they have a great base. It has so much more depth than just tasting like spicy chillies.
My fav mala pot. Been here almost evey every week since my first try. Their mala sauce is so good with white rice, dry noodle and all other toppings. Well, i would say it is the best mala pot i have had so far. The owners are very friendly as well.
The best! The best! I’m a local Sichuanese and I can say that it has the best Dry hot pots in town! The family is also too angelic to not get a five star review
Easily the best hot pot in town! The family that runs the business are so kind and the food is fresh and delicious! I cannot recommend this place enough. Portion sizes are very generous and very well priced.
If your a westerner and looking for yummy Chinese food that comes with a free smile, come here!
This little place is a delicious place to go for home cooked Chinese food. Very friendly and attentive to your needs
It’s a small restaurant running by a cute family of 3. Gotta give them a 5-stars review because they deserve it! Always my number one go-to when I am craving for spicy Mala pot. Their services are always brilliant and heartwarming! Prices of food are fairly reasonable too! They have no-la (which stands for non-spicy pot) if you don’t scratch your head or sweat while eating Also, recommending their ma-la-tang (with soup)! A must during the winter.
