We are thrilled with our new Stonewood home! Our experience from conception (with Bruce Schultze, a most helpful and experienced Sales Consultant), to working our way through the build with Dave Robson, Christian Welham and Nathan Townsend, and Office Staff Harriet Jenkinson, Anne Duffy and more recently Cherry Shan, made it a most positive and rewarding experience! We found all the staff excellent and approachable to work with, which has resulted in achieving the perfect home for us! We can thoroughly recommend Stonewood, and would not hesitate to build with them again. Thanks to all involved- it was a pleasure

We had the most pleasant, unforgettable experience, building our dream home with Stonewood Homes. From the very first minute we met Bruce, the new home consultant, we knew that it was going to be an amazing journey. The team at Stonewood Homes provided so much guidance, advise and support throughout the build. The communication during each faze of the build was exemplary, we knew what was going on at all times. During the First Level 4 Lockdown period the build had to be stopped for that period however, we knew what plans and procedures Stonewood Homes had in place. Our home was covered in order to protect it from all weather changes and once the teams could get back in and continue, they caught up with the lost time. Every time, which was everyday, we went to look at our lovely home. We were just amazed on the progress made each day and the care that has been taken during each step of the build, the precision, the perfection……and when something was not right according to foreman Nathan, things were quickly corrected. At the very end when the final checks were made, it was really re-assuring when we could see the house was rechecked and finished to a very high standard. We were so excited when we moved into our lovely home, it was an experience that we will never forget and definitely do again. Thank you so much to the Stonewood family for making our dreams a reality – you ROCK!

Building a new home is always going to be stressful, no matter what but the team at Stonewood are great throughout the build, explaining every step of the way. The quality of the build is very high, all the contractors used did an amazing job. We cannot fault the finish which makes the end results fantastic and all that stress through the build goes away at the end of the build. Quality, responsibility, informative, attention to detail are all key aspects when building a home. Stonewood Homes delivered on all the above and more during our build alongside them. From the open home visit to the hand over of the keys, Stonewood Homes involved us in every step and treated us like their only client.

Our build was managed with care and diligence to the end, not only did Stonewood’s go the extra mile to ensure they meet a high standard the excelled at it.

Lance, Christian, Dave and Nathan have been an absolute pleasure to deal with alongside all the sub-contractors that made our home become a reality.

From the time our contract was signed to the day we moved in was a 12-month process that could not have been a more enjoyable. A wonderful and stress-free experience that has delivered a home with love.

It’s coming up to 5 years since I moved into my forever home built by Stonewood Homes East and South Auckland.
Best decision I ever made, thanks to the help of Lance, who patiently worked with me over the design and layout to suit the section, Mike, Dave and Nathan who managed the building project seamlessly, always keeping me informed with information and photos online showing how things were progressing. The whole team, including the support staff and builders were very professional and worked well together with a minimum of fuss which made the whole build process stress free for me.

Building your own home is not only one of great excitement but also a little daunting and stressful. Choosing a company was crucial and following our initial consultation with Lance we knew we had the right company in Stonewood.

We made a few changes to the original plan (thanks to all including the architects for being patient with us) and managed some of the work ourselves, things such initial site cut, water tanks (we are in a rural location), filtration, waste water treatment system, kitchen and scullery fit outs.

All the staff at Stonewood were very accommodating in this respect and everything came together extremely well with no holdups. This was due in no small measure to the professionalism and communications by Mike (initially) as Project Manager and then Nathan who was a great mentor to us coming up with some great suggestions.

Special mention must be made of Russell, our builder, (not sure if he is still building for Stonewood) but his part in the whole process was key to a successful build. The quality of his workmanship was superb and has been remarked on by a number of people since we moved in. He was always friendly and cheerful when we popped in.

We are extremely proud of our home which we have lived in now for almost 5 years and whilst this review is somewhat belated it takes nothing away from the positive experience we had with Stonewood Homes throughout the whole process.

We could not recommend Stonewood homes highly enough! We have just moved into our brand new beautiful home in Pukekohe and it is just flawless. From the very start we were really listened to and our design requirements were met faultlessly. We made a few changes along the way and nothing was any trouble at all.
Every single sub contractor we met were highly skilled and got things done in record time. The sales team in the Lisle Farm Drive Showhome were superb, building manager was very easy to deal with and our head builder and project manager were brilliant throughout the process and we were made to feel like part of the Stonewood family. Just exceptional every step of the way! ️

We've had an amazing experience building with Stonewood Homes, Auckland. Lance and Nathan was incredibly helpful, friendly and professional at all times. We're so happy with our house, 3 years on, and the quality is so good, it feels like we've only just moved in. Lance definitely listened carefully to what we wanted and the plans he recommended was spot on. Nathan was always there for us, making sure the building process went as smooth as possible. In 2017 we decided we wanted to build in Beachlands and after a lot of research decided it was easier to go with an established and reputable builder, so visited the Stonewood Showhome. Lance was on duty to start the process, where he worked with us on a design that was customized for us and the section was secured. We modified the design to suit us and wanted to ensure we could use high end quality materials personally sourced. As we knew what we wanted with materials, we were able to make decisions quickly on all items required to build our dream home.

The whole construction team were outstanding as we observed the site manager (Dave) and the trade teams work hard initially to get the dwelling closed in, then Nathan took over to complete the interior work. We had top end materials going into the home. The Stonewood building team and all their contractors displayed great skills, were always professional and took care and were very attentive to every detail for a very satisfactory finish.

We were very pleased that we could get a customized home to our liking and that Stonewood was able to work efficiently with us to achieve this. Building is not an easy process so to have someone working alongside with ongoing updates and communication is critical. I found Nathan was in touch and kept us informed along the way. All the tradies were really accommodating.

We are more than content with the end product Stonewood Homes East Auckland have achieved for us, and would be happy to recommend them to anyone thinking of building a new home.

Dear Sirs

We have now been in our new home for just about a year. It’s fair to say that the experience of building with Stonewood has been most pleasant right from the first encounter with Lance in the show-home.

This is the third home we have built over the years so we knew that the process could be stressful with key decisions to be made right from the initial design through to finishing touches such as colours and furnishings.

In this case, the hassles were minimal and the practical advice we received from Stonewood and their people and their sub-contractors contributed to a build that has resulted in a home with which we are very happy…. And proud to own.

Key to any successful build is the relationship with the builder and in our case we were very lucky that Dave and Nathan were our contract managers. Both brought a high level of professionalism to the job, such that it almost seemed that they were building their own home. They should be rightly proud of the final result!

I guess the question is whether we would build again with Stonewood. Based on this experience, the answer would be yes, although it would take a lot to convince us to move from where we are!

We built our new home with the team from Stonewood Homes South Auckland in Pukekohe. They were amazing every step of the way!

From the purchase process right through the build and now into the post build follow up. I expect we will be in this home for many years as it is such an amazing house - but if we ever build again it will be with this team!

All the sub-contractors used where outstanding. Every one of them were tidy, respectful and most of all highly competent. The sales team were helpful and not at all pushy and the building managers are the best in the business.

One of the highlights of watching the subdivision go from nothing to almost built is how fast Stonewood get homes done - at this point there completion rate seems to be about two houses to every one that GJ build! And with speed comes NO compromise on quality of workmanship!

We have truly loved the experience with this company and I would highly recommend.

Three years ago we purchased a 6month old lovely brick Stonewood Home. After a few issues to get sorted finally the issues are sorted - prior to that it was rather frustrating 12 months. Once our emails finally got to The General Manager Jean Doughtery at Stonewood she was onto them. Within three weeks the few issues were viewed, presto said issues sorted. JObs done - no problem and with great thanks for such action we are happy. The service provided was excellent, with clear dialogue discussions with Jean herself was so very reassuring.
