If you are after an unprofessional service, microwaved dishes from countdown, and mixtures of low quality drinks this is the place for you. The music is also very loud. We really wanted to give these folks a chance.

We have had a couple of great nights here with friends, the cocktails are excellent and you can't go wrong with the options for the beers on tap.

Sweet Affairs is great for a date night. The atmosphere is cozy and the cultural backdrop provides for a unique and interesting night. The drinks are good too!

Very delicious food and the staff are so lovely. Shout out to the two male servers with beautiful coloured hair. Only thing I’d like to change is to install some more outdoor lighting please. Thank you for the splendid night

RESPONSE TO OWNER'S COMMENT: wow, it amazes me how you can just lie. We NEVER REPEATED the drink order cause the first round tasted so bad. We also weren't in a group. Also, it doesn't take much common sense to see the difference in the photos.

I came here to give my honest review as I always do. After reading the owner's responses to some other low stars reviews, I got kinda scared to be honest. But I do want to share my real experience so the community can make informed decisions.

The staff were very nice and attentive and I'm sorry I didn't have the balls to express my opinion to the staff as it wasn't really their fault.

The cocktails were nothing like the photos. Even if you say you change your menu regularly, the aesthetic should have the same quality. You will see in my photo that this was not the case. My friend and I ordered two different cocktails and they look the same but different colours. I don't judge a book by its cover but the taste was also below average. I mean for $20, I expected similar quality to caretakers. Caretakers make different cocktails for everyone, yet their aesthetic maintains the same quality.

I learnt from my lesson to not be fooled by the photos but to actually read other reviews before visiting first. I do hope that they can use the feedback to improve their business but judging from the previous responses, I don't know if they will.

Went there with some friends this past weekend and most of us got sick less than 1 hour after eating their food (no we didn't eat anywhere else that night). I just wish I had seen the reviews before going there, especially the owner's response to previous reviews. I definitely don't recommend it. Also, the tapas menu was very limited and when we arrived they warned us that two of the options were not available.

We made a reservation for dinner, received a confirmation message, but arrived to a closed restaurant when we arrived on the day. No prior communication directly, nor information at the restaurant entrance as to why. Won’t be trying returning there.

Misleading advertisment - Website menu differs with in-house menu. Staff ackowledged this is a current error. No Mains avaliable, only tapas in reduced capacity and in-house menu is significantly more costly than advertised on website. Staff were rude, no wonders the recent reviews and the place had no patrons other than myself at the time of visit.

Excellent cocktails, great shisha and lovely, friendly staff. Beyond impressed by the service last Friday.

Not a fan of the shisha. Customer was great hence the 2 stars, the fact they didn't have any hot drinks to compliment the shisha was disappointing.

Normally, you have a smoke, drink some tea and enjoy a few snacks and desserts.

Based on previous reviews, I presume the owner has changed.
The menu was very limited, just a few sharing plates, no mains.
We had checked the menu beforehand, it turns out prices have increased almost 100% from last year. The plates were also too small.
It’s a shame because it’s a nice venue, staff are friendly and there was a DJ.
But food was disappointing, and after all we intended to have dinner.

I don’t know and don’t care what sort of joint you are. What I do know is that any place, bargain basement or not, will offer more than 5 very small prawns in a basic sauce for $24. And no, you don’t manage a high end restaurant. Be kind.

Judging by the reviews, the owners must have changed. As many have mentioned already, the prices they charge for the portions are ridiculous. Pretty much fine dining prices and portions without the fine dining quality. Beware that the online menu prices don't reflect the actual prices at the restaurant!

We didn't have the best experience with shisha here either. Got charged the usual shisha price ($40), but shishas are served in portable hookah pipes (1/4 of the usual hookah pipe size so the flavours are super intense. They also refuse to top up coals. So once the coals were done, they said our shisha was also done even when it wasn't. Better to go to a place with the full sized hookah pipes.

I was never rude to your staff. When the waiter asked how everything was, I said it was just okay, he shrugged and said "fair enough". So clearly he didn't believe in the food you guys serve either nor did he think it was worth asking how the service could have been improved next time.

You charged $25 for 3 of those single bite Coxinha balls, that's definitely the price of a fine dining entree. I also just looked at your menu online and it's only advertised as $15 for 4 there, that's intentionally misleading right there. I hope you get reported to Consumer Affairs. Those hookah pipes were certain not disposable. You might be able to fool some first timers and make a few quick bucks, but you won't have returning customers.

I will have to agree on Skyla on this one. The portion of the food at this place is absolutely appalling. Me and my family were genuinely shocked at how much they charge for everything. The food was neither worth the money in terms of quantity and neither in quality and I have made sure to let friends and family know not to visit this place as it felt like a rip off. The falafel tasted like they were pre-frozen and the chicken tapas we ordered was essentially chicken tenders. Based on the owner’s response to the previous review, they also do not seem understanding or willing to change their attitude and are simply rude. I hope something does change for this place so that the food does pick up but that does mean the restaurant themselves recognise that there is a problem

Went over and above. Thank you for organising the vegan version of the falafel. It was delicious. The staff were super attentive. The long iced teas we're gold. Will definitely come back and would definitely recommend.

Lovely and intimate. Off the beaten track so it feels like a hideaway. Great staff, lovely drinks and various DJs start nice and early. They had South American music while we were there.very nice.

Love the food and drinks here! Absolutely show stopping! You can really tell that they use the freshest ingredients because everything is the best quality!

Went here for lunch, we were severed by the manager who was incredibly friendly, along with the personality of the decor it made a really nice place to come and eat. The food and cocktails were great

I had a fantastic afternoon at this gem of a place! The food was full of flavour and the atmosphere was warm and cosy. I'll definitely be back to try the cocktails!
