Not the friendliest or the best service, but Felix - our wine guide - was wonderful and attentive and the food is spectacular! (The wines were less so)

We had the most amazing meal - Sevice was above and beyond - the food was out of this world, thanks to our waiter, funny relaxed and put us all at ease on what was a five star experience.

Fantastic service, food and location. It had been a while since visiting Tantalus and it was better than ever. Five of us all had something different and every dish was a winner. Thanks for a great afternoon and the personal attention.

The lamb and beef mains just melts in your mouth! Paired perfectly with a sav and beer flight from the brewery downstairs. Love how the vines in the chandeliers are a tribute to the old winery. Superb.

Lovely place for dining! Opted for 'Trust the Chef' along with matching wines. Staff are friendly and the information for each plate and glass are both informative and intriguing. I especially enjoyed learning about the tartrate crystals as well as the small bits of history woven into the wine selection.

We came for my Mothers special 80th birthday. Wow everything was perfect. They even went all out and made her an amazing birthday cake which was sooooo yummy. We went to quite a few places over the weekend and I asked my Mother what was the best part of her birthday weekend and she immediately replied - TANTALUS! I can not thank you all enough for making her birthday so memorable.

5 stars is simply not enough! There needs to be at least 10 more!
We had quite the journey getting there yesterday (ferry disruptions, missed bus etc) but the Tantalus team were so accommodating, which made everything less stressful for us.
Our day immediately got better as soon as we arrived. The food was exquisite, best food we’ve had in a very long time! The service was beyond exceptional! The view was absolutely gorgeous. Everything was absolutely perfect, thank you so much team Tantalus. We look forward to coming back again soon!

We ordered the three course meal option for five adults and we had two children who had the kids menu. The food was incredible- each dish had unique and interesting elements and flavours that were so delicious. The children’s food was also appealing, creative and they loved it! Having eaten at some of the finest restaurants around the world we thought that Tantulus was exceptional. Our server Raymond was also very good. Highly recommended

We recently had our wedding at Tantalus Estate, and it was truly a dream come true. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue to celebrate our special day. From the beautiful weather, to the outstanding service, every detail was absolutely perfect.

One of the highlights of our experience at Tantalus Estate was working with Carrie, who was incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. She went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met and ensured that our vision for our wedding day was brought to life. Her professionalism and attention to detail were exceptional.

The gardens at Tantalus Estate were simply breathtaking. The lush greenery and perfectly manicured landscapes provided a stunning backdrop for our ceremony and reception. The food was absolutely amazing. From the appetizers to the main course, every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The culinary team exceeded our expectations, and our guests raved about the exceptional quality of the cuisine.

The first look location at was simply awesome. The picturesque setting provided the perfect backdrop for our intimate moment before the ceremony. It was a memory we will treasure forever.

We enjoyed the Chef’s Choice dinner - Delicious and beautifully presented food. Service was fantastic. Would highly recommend an evening at Tantalus.

We had a lovely wine tasting and lunch at Tantalus Estate. We did the estate tasting menu and our whole group enjoyed their chosen dishes. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable! We also had our small dog with us and they made sure she was looked after and gave her a water bowl.

We went to Tantalus to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We were served by Jayden, who was so lovely, knowledgeable and attentive. Checking up on us and making sure everything was OK. We chose the Trust the Chef menu, an 8 course degustation menu, which took the entire afternoon and halfway through our meal, she took us for a walk through the vineyard and down through the marshland. On our return to our table Jayden checked to make sure we were ready to continue with our main course. The experience we had was sensational and the food is amazing, we enjoyed everything on the menu. Thanks.

We visited this beautiful vineyard today. Very lucky to have met the owner, who was so friendly and affable, got us a table even they were busy with a wedding event later in the day. Everyone was so helpful and we were totally blown away with the presentation & taste of the food. Wine, of course not forgetting the wine. Their reserved and Cachette white wine were so good that we shipped some home. Can”r wait to share them with our friends.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? A must go! The wines are fantastic and the food is phenomenal. I love the outdoor setting to enjoy the meal.

I dined and wine tasted by myself, and I felt very welcomed by both Claire and Monica. I was given a choice seat to enjoy the view while having lunch.

They’re not kidding when they say to make a reservation-they were fully booked on the day I went.

Amazing winery. Absolutely worth a visit, the ambiance is great, the staff was very nice and knowledgeable, and the wines were some of our favorites on Waiheke

Beautiful winery. We went for a wine tasting, which we both really enjoyed. Great wines and the staff were great. Definitely worth visiting!

Normally we would indulge in a luxurious wine or beer tasting here but with two elderly parents in tow we downgraded the experience to some light plates and a half glass of wine each. Despite the self inflicted limitations we were welcomed and catered to by the very friendly staff as any other VIP. The food and wine was equally delicious and ensured the we would return for a more generous experience next time.

Delicious wines, and very good service, staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Even though the weather was dismal, we enjoyed ourselves.

Great wines, good service. Venue is well done, with surrounding grounds perfect to sit back and have a wine or two.
