The Albany

Rating as follows:
1. Parking 5/5- ample space for everyone
2. Atmosphere- 5/5. Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. The place has been around since 1880s (as per), it has been preserved well.
3. Food-
shrimp entree 5/5
Pepperoni pizza with free fizzy drinks for kids- 5/5 as per my kids
scotch fillet cooked well done with mushroom sauce 5/5
thai chicken salad 3/5-
Dressing good
Veg -nothing special
The crispy noodle didnt go with the salad at all and cit overwhelmed the dish

I just expected a steakhouse to have stake in stock, especially visiting on a friday night. We had to change our order a few times because they did not have what we wanted in stock, drinks included. Also the place was not that busy.food took a while.and was not awful but also not great. The calamari was still very fishy, both in smell and taste. The atmosphere was beautiful and the service was not great.the waiter was friendly and apologetic.

My daughter booked the restaurant here for dinner on Xmas day, she actually booked it by phone and was told there would be ala carte and set menus available.
When we arrived at 6pm, the place was shut, leaving us to unsuccessfully look for elsewhere, and spoil our Xmas. I can understand if there were staff shortages on the day, but to not call us was unforgivable, especially on Xmas day.

Had been wanting to try this for a while and when did we (3 of us) weren’t disappointed. We didn’t have a booking and arrived on the earlier side of around 1800 and were easily seated - not too long after it started filling up with patrons.

The food was delicious despite taking a little longer to come out than perhaps usually but that was ok to us. We had the sizzling steak and brisket.
What topped it all though was the waitress kindly apologising and offering a discount for the wait on the meal.
Definitely coming back and definitely recommend popping on in!

We had our second Xmas function at the Albany Pub and had a great time of it too! 14 people and we had plenty of space and lots of entertainment to keep us occupied. Also one of the few pubs that have Stella Artois on tap.

We visited The Albany for a casual social get together following the first day of our national conference (about 50 of us). We had a brilliant night, enjoyed great food and the staff really looked after us. Many thanks to Preet and the team!

Nice to see a classic down to earth pub on this side of town would be a five-star but I'm not a fan of pokie rooms. Each to their own though.

We planned a surprise birthday for my mum on November the 26th (26/11/2022). The staff were really friendly and super helpful. I was able to pay a reasonable deposit to secure a booking. We got given the under-covered deck to use as our own area and had a personalised board with a Happy birthday message. I was able to use the small amount of money that I had to put down towards some drinks on the night which was also a good help. The food platters were all ordered and paid for before the night so I didn’t need to worry about organising anything. The food was so well presented and came out at a time we had asked it to. Thank you so much to The Albany staff and to Preet for making it all so straight forward and easy. Looking forward to celebrating there again in the future

Nice good local pub, especially for group gatherings. The staff are a good bunch and are extremely professional and accommodating!

Staff were very friendly and attentive. Meals were hearty and very well presented. Hadn't been in for a long time so was pleased to see a great expansion menu. We'll definitely be back.

We are very regular visitor's to this local restaurant in the Albany area, normally on a Sunday afternoon and we come in a big group to enjoy the great experience and very good food.

They have a full menu as well as the Sunday Special for a very good price. We had the Sunday Chicken Special and got half a chicken, potatoes and veggies with a beautifully flavoured sauce, a really big meal and value for money.

They have a huge variety on the menu and the portions a big, covering anything from Burgers, Steaks, French Fries and they also have a kids menu.

They have a fully inclusive bar and on cool / cold days they have a fire burning in the fire place, very nice and snuggly.

They have a great team in the kitchen, bar service and front of house - they a very friendly and helpful. We go and do a group order and sit and enjoy our drinks or coffee and then our meals are brought to us.

Very highly reccomend to all current and future customers, come out and support our local businesses during these tough times. We will definitely be back next Sunday afternoon for lunch and so looking forward to enjoying a good healthy meal.

There are great Special run during the week and over the weekends. Truly great value for money and Sundays they have some form of "Roast's" ranging from Chicken, Ham, Mutton etc. Such a good hearty meal to enjoy and the servings are big.

Loved it, this will now be my local. All five meals were great and dessert selection is awesome.

I like that this pub is in two halves, one a bit more rowdy bar for adults and one more quiet and peaceful restaurant for families. I come for both depending on requirements. Food is usually very good and there is an excellent selection of beers on tap.

Fantastic service. Food came out quick and hot. Really good food. Would be in the top 10 places I've ever eaten at.
