The Attic Bar & Restaurant

From the moment we stepped foot in the door, we felt so special and welcome. Fantastic host, he really knew his stuff! Beautiful setting inside. The food was spectacular! So used to GF food being either limited options or not very good, but this was the quality of a fancy restaurant without the hefty price tag. Great experience from beginning to end! It has to be the best coeliac restaurant in Auckland.

Great food, and amazing to see a place that is celiac nz accredited. Most of the menu is available gluten free on request. Very nice wine selection. Amazing friendly staff. Good cocktails, too.

First time here, the place was averagely busy, staff were great with accommodating us with adding a extra person to our table and moving us to a more spacious table. One of our dinners got missed so he had to wait longer for his meal but they managed to get it out quite quick, i asked for a cider but it never came but when re asked it came out fairly quickly, overall the restaurant was good but food is quite pricey, but then again so is everything these days

Anthony who took the order was very friendly, polite and informative of the menu. Jared, the owner came to serve us was very friendly too. The food was excellent, I enjoyed the prawn curry. All the tables are very well placed and the place itself is spacious. There is ample of parking too. Very close to the train station and bus depot, walking distance. Highly recommend this place. Really great restaurant. The food is just incredible, recently had the beef cheek sliders and omg I wish I could of eaten hundreds of them We have tried the chicken burgers as well which were also really yummy. The kids nuggets and chips are amazing, not those scabby looking frozen nuggets, proper chicken, fussy child loves them too. The front of house guy or manager is dam good at his job too, polite, classy, well spoken. Even the waiter was great and could actually explain what was in the meal. As a family we love to come here, I can’t wait to go back for more sliders lol Also great cocktails. I can’t fault the place at all, food came out fast especially the kids meals! Love it.

Nice food, ok prices. Service quick to take order but not very attentive after that for extra drinks orders.

I couldn't recommend this place enough. It was a last minute decision to come here and definitely not disappointed.

The food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. We were even lucky enough to have our 2 Golden Retrievers join us, which was amazing, and we appreciated so much.

Quiet Sunday evening during the school holidays but we were still made to feel very welcome by the host. Our first visit based on a couple of recommendations as lots of gluten free options, as well as the added bonus of kids eating free (with each adult main ordered). The short rib was excellent, and the kids enjoyed their chicken nuggets (especially the gluten free option). Recommended for an evening family dinner as we really enjoyed it.

Came here for lunch today with my family and it was such a nice place to come and have lunch at. The service was amazing, Thank you to the friendly servers who were accommodating from the moment we walked in till we left. The food was so yum and they also offer a lunch menu with cheaper options as well as the main menu option. They asked about diet requirements before serving, were able to bring out last minute food orders fast and were just so lovely. The prices are very affordable and the food is nice as well as providing things for the kids to do while waiting for their meals. Will definitely be coming back! TY?

We had our daughter's s birthday here and the food was amazing! The only small negative (like all hospo) was not quite enough staff to make it prefect service as they were too busy to give the attention of drink refills, plate clearing and next orders. The staff were lovely and did their very best. We will definitely go again.

I ordered duck fat chips and squid sides on Uber eats about 8: 30 on Sunday night. Maybe that was the issue, nothing good quality left in the day? The chips were soggy, unseasoned, undercooked and tasteless - a real shame for something I thought would be a nice treat. They tasted as if around for days and microwaved before sent to me. The squid was over-seasoned, sugary sweet instead of balance in flavour. Towards the bottom of the box there were big globs of seasoning that were mistaken for squid and really tasted quite bad, I had to spit them out as the breading by itself almost tasted off. I always had a few side sauces, the Aoili and the blue cheese were average and probably the smallest container of sauce I’ve ever had at $3.50 each and the chimmicuri was oil with the tinnest amount of herbs. Hate to give a New Lynn place a bad review but it’s it was pretty sub par. Don’t think I would try in person now.

This was the second time we had gone to The Attic. The first time we loved the food and service hence my son chose to go there for his birthday. There were 7 of us of varying ages and the food was loved by all. Generous portions and very tasty and great selection from small plates, to The grill, salads and burgers. Service was excellent and we felt very looked after. We were also able to bring a birthday cake which the staff happily sorted and brought out after dinner. Looking forward to the next visit.

Cocktails are to die for! Attic bar and Restaurant has quickly become my fav restaurant. There was a bit of a wait for food, but that was explained very early on, and the staff told us to order early due to the wait which was lovely. Staff are very friendly and accomodating. Food was amazing:)

First time here with my husband and 2 kids. Service was exceptional, very friendly and helpful.
Food was delicious too.

The service was top-notch and the food was great. The Harissa Lamb rump tasted amazing - would definitely recommend. We also had the Rib eye and the Beef Short rib which were great too.

Great staff, food was good with a variety of options & priced reasonably prompt service & nice atmosphere. Will definitely return.
