The Blue Breeze Inn reviews
96Highly recommend booking however we did not wait long. We were seated at the bar, where we were we entertained watching beautiful cocktails being made. As we were seated the large table next to had there food delivered. It all looked delicious and well presented, making it hard to decide what to have. We settled on the warm pork salad and the pork belly. Both dishes were incredibly tasty. Can recommend both of them. The service was spot on considering how busy they were. You could see the staff were really trying to stay on top of everything and they did a great job. Will definitely go back.
Great bar and restaurant to catch-up with friends! It’s busy so best to book in advance, but tasty food and amazing menu if your group enjoys sharing plates to be able to try lots of things at once
I took my work team out to celebrate a big business win to Blue Breeze and boy am I glad I did. Outstanding service, food, wine and vibe. Hands down the best Peking Duck I have ever had - don't be put off by the $95 price tag - it was actually incredibly generous and perfect for a group of 6 all sharing. From dumplings to bang bang chicken the meal was just fantastic. Mark and the team continue to deliver an exceptional guest experience with just the right level of casual confidence & connection from their experienced floor team. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Thanks team! Frankie - Black Pineapple Co
Great place for a good feed. Staff were great as was the food. Highly recommended. Be prepared to spend a bit
Food is good. I left feeling full and happy. Great service. Awesome atmosphere. Would
Come again
The food at this place was absolutely delish! It was quite expensive though…. But lovely service and full of flavour. One of the best dumpling places i’ve been too!
Had Lunch for Mrs Birthday, asked server to bring all dishes together including Banana Split Desert as we were pushed for time.
All dishes came one after another, and all full of flavour texture, so good, Lamb dish was next level.crackled skin with lamb fat wowwee, tempura beans? So damn good.
Will deff come back one Weekend & savoury the flavours abit slower
Ticks all the boxes - ambience, availability (even at busy times), food quality and service
No real downsides and recommended
The pork belly bao bun is to die for. Lovely cocktails and asian fusion cuisine with a cool, bustling vibe.
We have the steamed pork buns every time we go here, they never disappoint. Tried the Bang Bang Chicken, and it was fantastic too. Great place to have a lovely bite to eat and a drink or two in a chilled, relaxed atmosphere.
Only been for post dinner drinks. It's always busy busy so we've only sat at the bar, which is fun. I like watching them make cocktails and also super quick getting me a refill hehe would like to dry dinner there one day.
Ponsonby is Ponsonby. Paying Ponsonby prices for food. Menu said oysters, so a bit disappointed with the ONE oyster for the price. Atmosphere plus plus, servers very attentive.
I can't recommend The Blue Breeze Inn enough. The service was pleasant, attentive and professional. Fantastic menu, each dish crafted to perfection.
Wow what can't you say bad about this awsome place, it's amazing nice and food and the best ever
Yummy yummy yummy. You've got to eat here. Pork belly Bao, crayfish dumplings, cummin lamb, sweet and sour pork. Pineapple g$t, so good
Fabulous food, service and setting. Great place for a social catch up and enjoy good food and a very tasty vinos. YUM
The service was so bad, we had a condensed menu while the table next to us had a full menu that just came in a few minute after us, when we raise the issue, we were told that the condensed menu is for customers before 5pm, which clearly didn’t make sense, we came in around 4.55pm, the table came in before us had a full menu, the one came in after us had a full menu! And we couldn’t cancel any order after 2 minutes we placed it. On the top of that every dish was extremely salty
We used to love this place but it has gone downhill. Food and cocktails which used to be amazing were average (especially the subpar cocktails). This could just be a bad night, it was a Sunday, who knows but the staff were the deal clincher. There was a general offhand and rude attitude from the younger inexperienced wait staff. I understand it was busy but that doesn't excuse poor service and an unwelcoming, hostile vibe. It just puts you off dining at a place forever. Wont be back.
Island vibes with upmarket cuisine Beautiful bao - a little on the sweet side with the sauces for my taste but the tofu treatment was next level. Top quality ingredients and classy-kitsch cocktails, if there is such a thing! It's a little cramped but the service is excellent, the decor is fun. Great for a bite to start the night.
I really liked the food and service at this place. The staff were super friendly and attentive. There was a great variety of dishes. I did find some of the portions to be a little small for the price, but they were very tasty. Recommend the Kung pow chicken and the lamb curry with a side of rice. Also, the deep fried chicken dumplings. Their cocktails are also great. Awesome for sharing plates. The venue is packed out with tables, and the seating areas are a bit tight, so it wasn't super comfortable for six adults at a fairly small table. I also cut myself on the edge of the rubbish bin in the bathroom which was weirdly sharp. However the staff kindly gave me a band aid. But I would still go there again (and again!). Super yum.
