The pork ribs were the highlight of the meal. Truffle linguine was a waste of time. Bread was delicious.

Steaks… unfortunately… were not the best. I ordered a medium steak and was given a RED steak. Still mooing.

We were left without service for far too long. Would love to see an extra member of staff on board to mitigate this.

Overall decent but disappointed by the steak mishap.

Very good food, large portions. The staff is very nice and helpful. Their breakfast is also amazing!

Loved it. I only popped in to see my friends but they couldn't have been more accommodating. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food looked unreal. I heard it was too! I can't wait to come back! The mash potato alone is worth returning for!

I suggested this place for my team's lunch yesterday, and they loved it. We ordered from the express lunch menu: wagyu burger, wakanui beef steak, fish and chips, and a truffle linguine (mine). Dessert was the chocolate truffon and a lemon cheesecake.

The food portions were great. The dishes were simple but very flavourful. We also enjoyed the ambience, as it was a quiet day. It gave us a chance to chill and relax with colleagues, and we had lovely staff to take care of our requests.

Since ours was a big-ish group (8 people), we made reservations and ordered the food ahead of time. The food arrived within 5 minutes after we arrived. Would highly suggest this to reduce your wait times, especially for groups.

Highly recommend this place if you're planning ahead and if you'd like a quiet lunch spot during the weekdays.

The service was amazing, wait staff were all super lovely and so was the manager. The food could definitely be improved, the wok greens looked a little sad and overcooked and the fish wasn't fresh.
Overall a good experience due to the atmosphere, comfortable seating and the wait staff.

The restuarant itself looked lovely. Food was pricey, when considering your spending $42 and all you get is a piece of meat and a sauce, i wanted medium rear, ended up being rear. Others at the table were not impressed with the steaks. 4 oysters for $22 but they were nice. Service was sub par, we always had to get the waiters attention if we needed something, they never once came by to see if we were ok or needed anything. They charged us incorrectly, gave someone the wrong bottle of wine and charged at a higher price, also charged us for our pre-drinks at the bar when we had already paid for it. Took a while to sort out.

The best customer service as they check up on you while you dine if you’re having a good time or enjoying your food. The staff are really friendly and nice. The food is amazing my fave is the pork rib. Their cocktails and Mocktail are really nice especially with their glass they’re the perfect size, my fave mocktail is the virgin mojito. Usually I’d drink 5-7 cocktails or mocktails and I’d feel like I’ve had enough but at The Cut I’d only have 1-2 and I’m done.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unsatisfactory experience my party and I encountered at The Cut Restaurant and Bar earlier today. As the sole table of customers during lunchtime, we had high expectations for both the quality of food and the level of service provided. Unfortunately, our visit fell significantly short of these expectations, leaving us deeply disappointed.

The primary issue we encountered pertained to the preparation of one of our ordered items, specifically a steak. Upon receipt of the steak, we found it to be undercooked and requested that it be reheated to our desired level of doneness. However, to our dismay, the reheated steak was severely overcooked and even charred around the edges, rendering it inedible. This level of cooking was far from acceptable and did not meet the standards one would expect from a restaurant of your caliber.

Additionally, we found that the hamburgers we ordered suffered from a similar issue. The meat patties and bacon were all excessively burnt, resulting in an unpleasant taste and texture. This significant flaw in the cooking process significantly diminished the overall enjoyment of our meals.

Furthermore, I would like to bring to your attention the unprofessional conduct of your restaurant manager. It was disheartening to observe that the manager was not dressed in the appropriate uniform, suggesting a lack of attention to detail and a disregard for professional standards. Moreover, their attitude towards our complaint was both hostile and disrespectful, leaving us feeling disregarded and undervalued as customers.

As patrons of The Cut Restaurant and Bar, we anticipated an exceptional dining experience with quality food and attentive service. Regrettably, our recent visit failed to meet even the most basic expectations in these regards. The substandard cooking and the unprofessional conduct of your manager have left us deeply dissatisfied and compelled me to express our grievances through this formal complaint.

I am writing to continue my previous complaint regarding the unsatisfactory experience my party and I encountered at The Cut Restaurant and Bar. I regret to inform you that the repercussions of our dining experience extended beyond the poor food quality and unprofessional conduct, as I have suffered severe digestive issues after consuming an undercooked hamburger at your establishment.

Following my previous complaint, I neglected to mention that despite consuming only a few bites of the hamburger, I found it to be inadequately cooked. Regrettably, the meat was not thoroughly cooked, and this oversight has resulted in a severe bout of food poisoning, manifesting in acute and persistent diarrhea. As a result, my health has been significantly compromised, causing considerable inconvenience and distress.

As a responsible establishment, it is imperative that you recognize the seriousness of this matter. The consumption of undercooked food poses substantial health risks and is inexcusable, particularly considering the potential consequences it can have on customers' well-being. I must emphasize that the disregard for proper cooking practices and food safety measures is unacceptable and must be rectified immediately.

If you’re in Akland NZ, be sure to stop in for a meal! Staff tonight served up well & the most attentive to a full house. I’ll be back! Not halal, but indeed options for vegetarian only.

Delicious food, fairly priced. We had a group of 16 and the service was great. Ciki the waitress was particularly helpful and friendly.
The steak was overcooked, so if you wanted medium, you should order the medium rare I believe.

We had a six o’clock booking to see a show at 8 by 7.30 the mains of steak and Cesar salad hadn’t come out.
Yet others in the restaurant we’re getting served. When the salad arrived it was terrible and I didn’t have time to eat it. They didn’t charge for the salad but wouldn’t go back.

Staying at the Rydges, thought I would order room service from this restaurant. I ordered the meal at 6pm, it’s now 8: 12pm… an over 2 hour wait for a burger? Terrible. If you’re understaffed DO NOT keep taking orders.

Went here for lunch. Our waiter took a while to get our order and we couldn't help but notice that every new customer who came in after us were provided with water asap. Whereas we had to ask for water twice, and we finally got it after our meal was served. Food was was okay, and reasonable prices food but not too much options.

My wife and I stayed at the Rydge hotel for 4 nights so we made 2 reservations at the hotels restaurant The Cut. Wednesday evening we had a reservation for 8pm and when we arrived the waitress explained how busy they were and asked my wife and I to wait at the bar and she would come back in 5 to 10 minutes. So we decided to have a couple of cocktail at the bar however the bartender informed us that he was forced to come in to work and that he was exhausted so he was not making cocktail my wife and I thought that he was joking around but he was not, my wife ordered a beer I was so shocked. After waiting 45 minutes I went to speak with the waitress about our table she apologized for forgetting about us she asked us to wait 3 more minutes to set a table for us which we did. When we were ordering our meals more than half of the items on the menu they were out of so we settled and made due of what was available. Later we paid our bill the waitress apologized again. Our second reservations we cancelled due to our bad experience. Later I explained our entire situation with a shift manager at the cut restaurant and he apologized and said that he would informed the restaurants manager. Unfortunately I never anything from the restaurant manager. This was our first visit to Auckland which we enjoyed so much unfortunately we were very disappointed with The Cut restaurant.

Very reasonable pricing of food but the lunch menu is very limited. Loved the bubblegum mocktail. We pre-ordered so food came right on time and the place was pretty much empty for early lunch. Was good to have a quiet place to ourselves with attentive staff.

Had a buffet dinner and was quite disappointed at how ordinary and limited the food was. The food was almost like what you would get if you went round to your granny's place for dinner. The cooking was fine but the end result was unimaginative.
The service was very good however.

I love the fish & chips & it's my 3rd time having it as its amazin! My hubby had the Beef burger this visit & its huge & juicy! Definitely worth the money. Staff are friendly & as it's a weekday night, the restaurant was quieter than usual but we enjoyed it more as it feels cozier dining this time round at the high table/chair area near the bar. Definitely coming back here to dine our next visit to Auckland.

Found on entertainment book. Looked nice. But the food was underseasoned and overcooked (duck) i gave the feedback when i was there.

So much potential for this place, but felt it didnt quite hit the spot.

The Cut was closed for a private function this evening. There was nothing on their website or at the entrance to the restaurant indicating that. I'm now making other dinner plans.

I came here for their power lunch, staff was friendly, the restaurant was spacious and clean. Kids friendly. However, i was just disappointed with their food and also how slow the service was for just caesar salads, fish n chips and panini, and coffees. The food was also just ok.
