The Eagle Bar reviews
31 If you're gonna serve drinks, which in my understanding is what a bar does, then at least get that one simple thing right. They serve WARM tequila. Come on guys! Do better!
Their sound system also sux, lots of distortion.
Fantastic wet Tuesday night, great atmosphere, safe, fun, friendly people. Awesome cocktails
I love this place. Thursday karaoke is so much fun. The vibes on the weekend are amazing. The staff are friendly, Mo is my favourite, he is friendly.
I would highly recommend it.
I went to the bar today. I ordered 1 margarita and the bartender made it with a lot of ice. I was at the middle of drinking the guy took it without asking and I said excuse me. He walked away without hearing me, so I came to spoke the girl manager. She said she will talk to the guy. After talking to the guy they both laughed and didn’t come back to me. I came to the bar to meet her and the. She said there is nothing she can’t do. I was shocked to hear that. I explains to her and she had a Le attitude and told me that they can make another drink for me but I have to Pay for me. I told her that’s not the solution and they kicked me out. I told the hem that “ can I speak to the manager and she said I’m the manager and you’re out. I was extremely shocked and disappointed. I hope I can speak to the business owner because they’re very rude and eagle bar is my favourite.
Alina, Sam, and Ricky were phenomenal and the best bartenders providing all the great vibes, and cocktails ️ best service I’ve ever had in Auckland, hands down!
This is the best LGBTQ+ bar in town, good vibes always, pick your song at jukebox and grab a drink!
Vibes of gold Friendly and fabulous staff, lovely cocktails for a reasonable price and absolute BANGAs on the jukebox all night! ️I love the music video screens and the little smoko area out back. The red lighting is so flattering hunty + karaoke Thursday okrrrrrrrrrrr? ! My new fav Krd bar by far.
Dance and meet friends or a stranger to talk. Pleasant place, although they smoke cigarettes at the toilet
Thursday night was a virginal voyage personally & was not at all disappointing with DJ Paul & co host Rob organizers of the exclusive weekly Thursday karaoke night with a diverse compendium songs repertoire superior & surpassing Saloon bar's version, which gets your body swaying & toes tapping accompanied by an enthusiastic audience & willing participants. I'm especially impressed by the smooth running & efficiency of the DJ inputting the song requests subsequently forming an efficient song queue & time frame appearing on a flat screen TV on the wall for the audience to see, so user friendly. My only pet peeve is the process should be entirely paper free to save the environment & obviously more effective, moreover digitized. A roaring & well earned & deserved 4 stars rating?
Very nice gay bar (hetero friendly) in Auckland with quit long tradition. Nice place with good drinks
Was great apart from smoke coming in and falling over the step outside the toilet but otherwise a great little bar
Had a great time there with my friend and I forgot my satchel that had my laptop in it.
The phone number wasn't working but contacting via Facebook they told us they had the satche safe and sound!
Awesome bar, staff and they looked after my laptop till I contacted them. Highly recommended.
Thanks Eagle Bar! Heading your way to pick it up today.
Classic local gay pub, come to run into someone you know, stay for the Long Island Iced Tea.
Peak Friday / Saturday nights can get dragged down by a handful of annoying loud heteros but door staff are generally pretty good at dealing with those who don’t respect queer spaces.
Great outing for friends. Easy going bar, excellent selection of drinks and the music was good.
Neat entertainment from some of the drag race cast.
A variety of seating options, the perches on the street offer a relaxing place to watch the world walk by. A large open plan bar inside and then a snug plus a garden bar.
The staff are very friendly.
Really friendly and welcoming venue with great staff, reasonably priced drinks, clean facilities and well made cocktails. Easily my favourite LGBT venue in Auckland.
I love this place because the staff are friendly and they play good music (with videos). Interesting people to meet. I've knocked a star off for two reasons. I find the music a little too loud - not so much of an issue when it's later and cranking, but moreso earlier in evening when wanting to chat with people. Also, people standing out front to smoke means it blows right inside.
Cool place. Gays don't have to accept this dirty place across the road which is the Saloon bar. Go to Eagles it's clean, no sticky floors, no horrible toilets, no gambling machines. Equals much better people to hang out with.
Great staff who are kind and considerate great prices on drinks and just an all round good time
I love Eagle Bar. Its a great place to relax and meet new people and enjoy a laugh with the staff (who are hilarious).
Its in a great location to also pop out get a bite to eat with a variety of food and pop back in to see who's put on Pet Shop Boys and started to dance. 5 stars.
Very small bar but it makes up for it with its big personality and the awesome staff. If you're looking for a good vibe and a safe night, this is the spot
