The Flying Burrito Brothers Albany reviews
55I wasn't sure what to expect from Mexican cuisine at The Flying Burrito Brothers, but I was pleasantly surprised by its delicious taste and rich flavors. This restaurant comes highly recommended, as I've never been disappointed during my visits. For anyone who hasn't experienced Mexican food before, this place is sure to impress and not disappoint.
I’ve eaten nachos all over the world for 20+ years, California, Texas - NZ (Mexican cafe, taco loco, Taco Bell, taco pronto for the old timers).
First time I’ve ordered a main nachos and it’s served as plain corn chips with a small bowl of chicken, cheese and sour cream - to scoop out of.seemed more like a starter than a main.
Bottled beers $12, side of guacamole the size of a tablespoon $3.50 or something.
Flavours were nice, food was expensive and small, maybe I just chose a bad option.won’t be back.
Thank you Flying Burrito Brothers for having us for our team end of year get together. We enjoyed ourselves very much, and the food and services was very good. Thinking Caps
Been a few times now and the staff have always been very friendly. This time we requested a booth especially due to some of our party being quite anxious and they happily obliged. Very considerate. My only feedback is that although the you g girl taking care of our table was very lovely, she came back to ask us how we were doing about 4 times in a half hour. It was a bit annoying and kinda felt like we were being rushed. Maybe a bit of training on the appropriate way to do this might be a good idea? Also there was a very large noisy party in the restaurant and I know the staff can't really do too much about it and they were only having a good time. It was just so flippin annoying Had to really raise our voices to hear one another when we're sitting less than a foot apart. Anyway, I still gave 5 stars for everything and I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant
Love the Chimichangas. Great for eat in or takeaways when you still want great food. Staff are always very friendly. Highly recommend.:)
So glad I've found this place, awesome decorations and the food was amazing. Will definition be back
This was a disappointed experience that I just order 20min ago through uber eats. The fish tacos are not eatable at all, supposed to be grilled fish but ended up with really not tasty red sauce and super salty to the point it is not possible to eat. The presentation of the product is totally poor doesn't invite to eat it at all. Really disappointed with this order as it was a waste of money. Not recommend order it.
Went for Bottomless Brunch on a Sunday, it was $59.90 which is on the expensive side for a bottomless. Our booking was at opening time and our 2 hours started before we got to our seats. For my main I chose the beef nachos (don't do this) it was terribly disappointing with a small amount of beef and no flavour. I ended up sharing with my mate who's chicken taco was too spicy for her, taco was good drink wise, I understand the rules about finishing your glass before having another made.but wait time was ridiculous. In "2" hours, had 5 drinks.
I would not recommend FBB for Bottomless Brunch. If you do go here, have the Quesadilla and for drinks have the sangria because that's on tap and doesn't require a Mixer.
Left disappointed as it was my first Bottomless ever, and despite this, it was underwhelming and I reckon there is better spots in Auckland.
Food was great, I had the vegetarian chimichangas, very flavorful.
Take a flashlight, though, you'll need it to read the menu!
(Another time) Tonight was a bit weird. An almost empty restaurant, and for some reason they had to seat the next customers right beside us! Killed the conversation at our table, and we left shortly thereafter.
The food is good, although it didn't quite reach the level of perfection I remember from years past. The fried chicken tacos remain a dependable choice. The frozen margaritas stood out with their silky texture.
It's worth mentioning that parking in the vicinity can be quite a challenge, so plan accordingly.
Terrible. Food underwhelming. Nachos came out of a packet. Wait staff did not ask once how the meal was.
Super friendly helpful smiling staff, food was fresh and delicious and they made great margaritas! So many tempting options on the menu means you will have to go back to try them all
Nice vibe, tasty food. Slightly on the expensive side, but we still enjoyed it.
We had the chicken and pork chimichangas and they were delicious.
Good food and margaritas. Shame you can't opt for trying the different tacos though. Having to order 2 or 3 of the same when there are others on the menu to choose from is a bit disappointing. Most other Mexican restaurants allow you to mix and match
My work team had lunch here, a group of 13, without a booking (bit of a glitch on our part). The staff handled everything so well. Polite, cheerful, great service. The food was outstanding! All round a great venue, will definitely return.
Had dinner here last night for hubbys birthday. 8 of us. Everything was lovely even with being short staffed. Pork tacos were
Love love love! 100% recommend to anyone who is a Mexican food lover or is looking for a fun dine in experience.
Family of 5 all very very happy with our delicious food and tasty drinks. Superb! Service was great, atmosphere great. Nothing but good things to say about Flying Burrito Brothers Albany
So disappointed in the changes to food served. Fresh salads now replaced with scoops of manky supermarket style coleslaw, taco bowls not available because they have no salad. Definitely a heat and eat menu. Have always previously enjoyed however there is a definite cost cutting feel to what is served without reducing the price. Staff were great as usual. Got a much better meal at Taco bell?
The service was awesome for our group of 14. The 3 courses were nicely spaced out and appreciated being asked how things were and if we needed anything else. The food was good and really well presented.
