The Franklin

WHAT AN AMAZING NIGHT! I was in charge of taking care of our group of 40 for dinner and Franklin was Perfect for this sized group even more would've been catered to as well. We put a tab on and ordered off the Group Bookings menu. We got the $69 pp and what a menu they put on for us. Garlic Breads for Starters Entreè, Main, dessert and it was such great portions. The staff were super accommodating and our group had the time of their lives. Food was fresh and just delicious. I highly recommend to have your group booking here. And then we had our Drinks in the beer garden. We all were very impressed and just super satisfied with our money spent there. $5k Bar tab, $69pp A là carte menu, all worth every cent because the service just topped of our night. PARENTS ON A NIGHT OUT was one to remember. THANKS TEAM FRANKLIN TAPHOUSE.

Disappointed unfortunately. I visit Grangers regularly with a buzzing friendly atmosphere. The Franklin had no atmosphere or energy, the staff seemed bored and unengaging and stood around chatting rather that attending to clients. It is no surprise it was quiet on a Sunday afternoon.

Took a friend from Australia. Had a great meal, fish was delicious. Fantastic friendly staff. Highly recommend

We come here often and are always impressed by the ambience, food and service. Highly recommend the Poke Bowl (Salmon and Prawns) and the Chicken Caesar Salad. Steak night on Friday also something to diary in regularly…

Wow, what a place to chillax. V&V took Maya and me to Maraetai, for bitsy picnic, and later we dined at Franklin. Great food, of porkribs, fnc and sri lankan chicken curry, we enjoyed here. And the service is beyond expectation, perfect. We'll done, Franklin.

Went today for lunch with my son. Was amazed by the fantastic service and food. Greeted and looked after from the moment we walked in the door, which is a rare find these days.

Highly recommend this venue. Excellent service, unbelievable food & fantastic range of beverages. Would 100% come back when in the area and advise you to check it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Awesome place, great owners, really welcoming and great food. Went on a Sunday the they had amazing pizzas and live Music! Cant recommend this place enough! Kids and Dogs were welcome which is refreshing.

Never fails to amaze - with 3 well set out areas (Beer Garden, Bar Area and Restaurant setting) you can see why The Franklin is a popular favourite. Excellent Food, Beer and Cocktail menus - the service is friendly and light-hearted. Its a real treat if you happen to be looked after by Richard!

The food and service here was amazing and felt welcomed the moment my family arrived.

The layout is awesome and brilliant for families too. We always feel welcomed when going to The Franklin. The team are very friendly and always do their best to keep you wanting for nothing. Food is great and plenty of it! Their burgers are something special (recommended).

Today I had the fish & chips for lunch. It was cooked well, not greasy, and very tasty. There was so much I just couldn't finish it! My partner had the chicken burger which she loved as well.

Would definitely recommend the Franklin to others.

The atmosphere was good and quick turn around from ordering to receiving our meal. So disappointed ‘fish & chips’ cost nearly $30 and it’s served in French format (minuscule) meal was nice though. I was asked 3-4 times if I wanted another wine and was still sitting on half a glass. Also a pet hate is plates being cleared while people are still eating. I do understand the pressure of pleasing everyone but slow down a little, let people enjoy their night out without being asked every 5 mins ‘how’s everything going’.

Been here a couple of times now and the service is great and the food amazing. So good to have vegan options, and so tasty and beautifully presented. Will be back.

Very nice and convenient location, but that’s it! Average food, average service. Because there’s not much options in the area this is the local watering hole, can get very crowded and really noisy. Not my first choice.

Real great place with outdoor fire and pizza oven. Nice place for the locals. Staff go out of there way to help. Was very impressed. Will pay them a visit again for sure. Good place to watch the game at.
