The Hospice Shop - New Lynn reviews
37Excellent store with friendly staff. Items were well priced and it's good to know your money is going towards a proper charity.
Donations are consistently closed on a Saturday. The one day of the week a lot of people can make it there. And when you you can drop stuff off the lady is so rude and unappreciative. Makes it out like you’re dumping rubbish and you wonder why bother trying to do the right thing. Won’t be returning.
Absolutely brilliant' good quality much better than savemart and salvation army' it's the best store in New Lynn being second hand 'great prices kids clothes brilliant prices for furniture. Really happy to find an affordable shop totally worth going too lots of different options.
Best hospice shop with lovely staff I travel quite far to go here as I find the items priced reasonably and lots of cool stuff. Also the lady who I think may run it is an absolute gem full of personality and life. It must be full on having to sift through peoples throw outs but you do a great job managing to source the best items for such a good cause. Keep up the good work guys without people like you charities would not survive!
The place is so clean and has alot of things. The stuff are super friendly. Everytime i come i come into the store im always going back with something
You’ve tried to rub out your accessible park and stuck an “accessible parking” sign on a normal park.
This doesn’t make it an accessible park! Ie I can’t get my wheelchair out of my car.
Very large with a wide range of goods, all reasonably priced. I loved the layout and the staff were lovely. A must for anyone who wants to browse, you'll absolutely find something interesting here.
Great for crafty people & clothes shopping. New goodies arriving every day. Great staff, clean spacious shop.
A reasonable selection of eclectic items at an expensive price interesting though if you really want something that's the place to come
Big store, huge range of items! Clothing (mostly woman's), men's, kids, furniture, kitchenware, toys & just about everything else you could think of. The pricing is good mostly, the odd couple things can be overpriced imo but I guess it just depends. I've found some beauties in this store many times, so I definitely recommend you checking it out. Plus the ladies are lovely. Parking can be abit of a hassle, around a dozen or so spaces but in a 1 way situation. I'd recommend going when it's not busy. Support your locals <3
Probably my favourite op shop in Auckland, staff are friendly and I always seem to something interesting
Huge store. Wide variety. Great prices. At current lockdown level, there is a long queue to get in.
Friendly staff but has gotten way too dear compared to some of the other shops ie swanson similar stuff but half the price $18 dollar cushion in new lynn $8 in swanson. Definitely agree with the review from family love
Large shop offering a wide variety of items. I always see something I'd like. Purchased a brand new 3-cup coffee plunger $8 and a small terrarium $12. Been wanting both for nearly a year! Furniture, household goods, art, clothing, shoes & boots, jewellery, trinkets, ornaments and more. Definitely worth a visit. Good music plays in the background and to hear a staff member singing along was enjoyable to hear. Lovely relaxed vibe.
They do such a good cause for families and loved ones who are going through a hard time.
This store has such a good variety and good quality with good service
Never seen such a rude lady in charge of donate stuff, she took my donated paintings and clothes without any appreciation, doesnt even say any thank you, but instead, pick out the clothes hangers they dont accept and tell you to take away “dont leave them here” with a sense of anger and distrust as if you are throwing away rubbish here! I will never ever donate any stuff to this hospice shop! Such a disappointing experience.
Wonderful staff, very helpful and serving. The shop is big enough and has variety of clothes, shoes, furniture, books, linen, cutleries and many other households stuffs. The books and kids toys section is really good. Plenty of Parking outside and can park off road if there is no parking space. Got some really good stuff here for my family.
Will highly recommend for second hand good quality stuff.
It's a great op shop! It had exactly what I needed. The staff are friendly, and the place is very big, with something for everyone.
The only problem is the carpark. The entrance is narrow, and only allows for one vehicle, and the area to turn around and maneuver is very tight, and it seems people don't know what to do when the space is limited
Clothing is good priced, everything else is seriously over priced. $15 for a jar of buttons, perhaps they were made of gold
I love this op-shop! The best finds, best music (!), and super friendly staff!
They are also open on Sundays, which is fantastic:)
