Went for my 23rd birthday dinner with my parents and Granny and we were so looked after. Complimentary garlic bread, hummus, and a little birthday cake treat. Owner and waiter were excellent. Dinner was so yummy. Highly recommend

We have been to the Mediterranean a few times now and the food is just amazing. The hummus is just like being in Europe, so fresh and good quality olive oil. And the olives, yum yum. The lamb skewers are delicious as well. My niece has the margarita pizza which is delicious with the fresh dough which also comes with the hummus. Honestly all the dishes are amazing.

The location is really nice inside, clean and friendly staff. The chef came out to give us our order for take away and was super lovely.

I have lived around the world and I can say that this food is amazing. Good for a take out or to sit in. Highly recommend.

My partner and I wanted go somewhere nice and different.
We went on a Saturday night and was no problem getting a table. We were greeted by a lovley waiter as soon as we arrived. We ordered fresh callamari and flat bread with hummus for our entree and a lamb and garlic prawns for our mains.
Each dishes were beautifully cooked and had wonderful flavors of Mediterranean food.
Service and the ambiance was great and we came home very satisfied and happy.
My mouth is watering thinking about the tantalising food we had last night. We will definitely go back for more.

I thought the food was very overpriced. Slender portion of salmon, 3 half pieces of baby potatoes and a salad that was somewhat lackluster. Other half had 1 chicken skewer that had veges and a few pieces of chicken added, with a Lebanese bread and hummus. Approx $40 each. I feel that for that price I would have expected to go away satisfied. But wasn't

Food was pretty good but very overpriced.
Rather go to another place like Constantinople in Albany where the price is the same but you leave with a very full stomach and have lunch for the next day.
If you have to come here, order the skewer as that portion is decent but never the lamb chops unless you want 5 bites of food for dinner.

Unfortunately didn't have a great experience here, the food was very expensive for nothing too special. Would not go again.

I was taken by my family for my birthday dinner last night. We all had a wonderful time. Eduardo the owner was a brilliant host, the staff excellent. We all ordered different meals and everyone was very happy with their choices. My grandsons steak looked delicious! The food was worthy of many more visits! This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and it was so nice to be able to chat without loud background noise. We were all very full and happy when we left to go home. I highly recommend The Mediterranean Birkenhead, you must try!

My family and I came for dinner on the 17th and wow! The food was incredible! We used to go here when I was younger and the food is just as delicious as I remember. The staff were so lovely! They provided great service and made sure our night went smoothly. You can tell this place is full of so much love. Will 100% come back as it’s our family favourite. Truly made my birthday so much better:)

Food took over an hour to come extremely disappointed! There was only about 4 tables full so no reason to why our meal should take this long. All our meals were close to $40 so the overall experience was not worth the price, I left extremely upset with my food barely touched. Our table was wobbling and the overall atmosphere felt dark and gloomy. Not enough staff and nobody took our order until we actually went up and asked after 15 minutes (a couple who came in at the same time as us actually got served before us and left before we even got our food) Do not recommend to anyone who is hungry. Ended up walking down the road to new world for a second dinner.

Great atmosphere, reminds me of happy times in restaurants in southern Europe. Staff are fantastic and food is very tasty. Kid friendly and they provide pencils and colouring paper.

Went for dinner the other night and it was amazing. Great service and the food was delicious. The moroccan lamb salad was a stand out and Eduardo is back.

One of the worst meals I have had in a restaurant in two years. The prawns were nice but delivered on a whole packet of mesculin salad with no dressing, and nothing else. Excuse was their chef was away, but hey, we still have to charge you for a second rate meal.

Foods good but portions are really small. I'm now getting some more food on my drive home

The Mediterranean really amazed us. Great environment and kids friendly, the food was so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the dishes with the Mediterranean style bread and hummus dipping, can’t go wrong with it.

Bloody best place to eat. Awesome atmosphere, best chefs, proffessional waitresses make you feel
welcomed. The food has amazing texture, tasty, beautiful yummy smell and presentation of food is just. Food has very good portion. AAAAA+ SERVICES. Nevertheless the owner himself will make you feel very welcomed. If you didnt try it yet then dont wait for anything book now or just walk in. Awesome place best people amazing food you cant ask for more.

Was a terrible meal, so disappointed, raw garlic on undercooked pizza bread, undercooked fillet steak when asking for medium to well done, after reading all the reviews I am so sorry to say but this must have been a BAD day for them all just not worth the $$$ at all

Quality is alright but prices are ridiculous. $30 for one skewer and bread is daylight robbery.

Been here quite a few times. They always have excellent service, awesome pizzas and an great selection of Shisha!
