The Riverhead

Went on a packed Sunday - restaurant fully booked - bar in need of overhaul, especially the toilets.

Enjoyed the food and wine selection very much.
The dumplings were exceptional.
Rest of our party also said meals were lovely.
Sadly thought the service was average to be honest.

Despite not a great weather the view is still amazing. The food is great too, you have to try their ribs and the duck.

Good ribs. Shoe string fries are always a good munch with a great beer.
The cheesy garlic bread, I'll not order next time.
I've only just started making my own garlic bread at home and now I need that devine garlic soaked soft middle and crusty outside.
Love apple crumble and getting that right is not easy. Timing is everything.
I added vanilla ice cream and that topped off a good evening in our first time at the Riverhead.

I'd like to give it more nice old pub. The meal was great of you were really hungry. $10.50 for a very small glass of wine, Shameful.

We visited The Landing Restaurant of this place during our trip to Kumeu and I gotta say, I’m so impressed! Super nice and fancy ambience, top notch customer service quality and also, mouthwatering taste of food. I love how polite, professional and thoughtful the staffs here are. Very well presented dishes and gorgeous decorations/interior designs. This place did not disappoint me at all. Will definitely be coming back here in the future!

Food was delicious but expensive. The boat ride from Auckland City was nice, but bumpy and loud. Would not recommend the boat trip but the food is lovely.

Waitress lost our order, waited over an hour for our meals.
Meals were very good when they arrived, but only result from server was " sorry, I'll try and get the kitchen to rush. " they didn't.
Two tables came and went before we were served.

Consistently good place to visit. It used to be in the country, but now Auckland's suburban sprawl is overtaking the surroundings. Food & drinks at city prices but still good value.

The food was amazing. We had entre, main and dessert, and kids meal. None of us could fault a single thing. The staff were awesome - very friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Nice ambience. My family are local and say it's very consistent. Will be back again next time I'm in town. Highly recommended. Worth the price.

Place was very popular and busy. Staff very helpful. Bit pricey but the chips we got were fresh, well drained, well presented and tasty.

We go to The Riverhead almost every year for our anniversary. Love the food, atmosphere and service.

Great service from the staff, very professional (the way it should be in a restaurant). Absolutely beautiful food, and stunningly positioned on the river. Highly recommend a visit for dinner - would be a great place to take your someone special for dinner fallas

Highly recommend for a team day out. We had a great time, and the service was fabulous, and the food to a high standard. Very accommodating staff, and the restaurant is relaxing and clean.

Returning customers after a couple of years and was really happy with the improvemant and quality of the food. Nice staff, very helpful.

Cosy little pub with a outdoor area, food was nice and reasonably priced, I had the ribs which where tender and meaty just not as smokie and sticky as I would have liked, my only negative is they don't sell New Zealand finest beer, Steinlager.

The staff were friendly but not that attentive, we had to keep following up with the rest of our order for quite some time, The food was nice but the mains were quite small portions

A nice looking place and scenery. The majority of meals look fairly nice, I just pick the wrong ones I guess. I wasn't too impressed with the pork belly, a lot of money for nothing much. But, some of the other meals looked quite nice and with realistic portions.
