The Salvation Army reviews
13Me and my husband Aman are immensely grateful for the support we received from the Salvation Army by Heather. Their assistance was invaluable, and their patience in waiting for us to receive the smallboy was truly appreciated. Thank you for being there in our time of need.
Considering this place runs on donations, it doesn't make sense why they price things so high. I understand their involvement in charity work but these prices still don't make sense. A profit is still made either way. Items need to be more reasonably priced otherwise low income families are missing out which just takes away from their charity.
Good selection of women's and men's clothing. Toys, puzzles and books for the youngsters and adult fiction and non fiction at great prices. Books are in good condition. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Some furniture, not a lot. Lots of cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. For those going flatting, this is a good place to start!
Generally ok but I think with many stores it’s no longer about charity and giving, with WINZ payments prices are inflated which is very sad …. We need to realign ;these are families/people that have very little, there is very little to be made from them, we need to be helping them and their children.
Staff are polite, good selection of items, my daughter enjoys playing in the kids area, some of the clothes a little pricey, I was mostly disappointed with the prices on the toys though but normally find some good deals just gotta search around.
The second hand shops are just not the same anymore. The way they price their items is unfair, I used to enjoy second hand shopping but there is no fun left in the store. It is all about profit before people but then that is the human way. Sad that it has come to this.
Love shopping in this op shop. The Manager and her staff are so friendly and very helpful. The shop is very tidy and well presented. Lots of bargains and great stuffs for the family. Well done team.
Can't speak to the shopping experience but don't bother trying to donate furniture.
The delivery guys walked around my house for 10 minutes, as seen on CCTV and left without phoning me to say they were coming or why they never picked up the items.
When I tried to ask why, I got nowhere.
Just a waste of time.
Nice store, newly laid out and looking very smart, I generally look at the books but there is a great selection of second hand goods and clothes.
The staff at this store are super friendly and welcoming. I have found some gems at this store. Highly recommended.
Although this is a nice friendly store I do find that they are putting to high a price on things, second hand is just that, but of late some of there asking price are near new prices.
Great selection of goods at very reasonable prices plus you are helping support a local charity group who rely on the community's donations and support so everyone wins and nice to give back to them after all they do to support those less fortunate - it's a good cause!
