The Window Doctor

Turned up & quoted & locked them in to do the job. Wasted a day sat at home & got a call at 4pm saying it'll be a no show due to traffic. No subsequent follow up from their corner. I've since gone elsewhere.

I spoke to Anita about window repair for several windows on a rental. We discussed the details including security stay vs friction stay and booked the job in. Fantastic recommendation to install friction stay as it is far better than a security stay.

The following day the job was done and I followed up with the Tenant. He was wrapped as the windows are like new now. Great communication - the installer made contact with Tenant and followed my request (pushing back when my Tenant asking for something different). Overall very professional with great advice and reliable service that makes them easy to work with. I will continue to use The Window Doctor for any future window repairs.

Contacted advised to email details, did so and failed to hear back.
Seems to be common thread. Shame because a little communication and simple honest response and customers generally understand,

Contacted these guys in October 2021, they were pretty quick to come and provide a quote, even in level 3 lockdown. We accepted the quote but have not heard from them till today. Spoke to Anita in Nov few times and she advised that she has ordered the part which will be here in a week. Then contacted her again in Dec, no response her her yet. Would have been better if Anita would just tell me they cant provide the services, would have save our time and could have looked for someone else.

I needed to get all the seals done on the windows in my house along with the stays as they were just flying open. You don’t often find a business where everyone is great, Anita came and did the quote and organised the date to fix, she even called back when there was an earlier date! Awesome!

Clayton turned up on the day promptly and was very well organised, he did a fantastic job on all the windows, he was very approachable and easy to deal with, you could tell he loves what he does and is a credit to your company.

I needed to get all my windows repaired (seals and some stays replaced), a toilet window replaced and two ranch sliders repaired too. I was initally looking into replacing and double glazing everything but Anita was the first to point out the drawbacks of double glazing (value for money perspective) and recommend repairing the existing structure itself (i.e. Well-sealed windows and doors would be more effective) - saved me a bit of money.

I got a few quotes and though not the cheapest in the industry, you're paying for experience. Andrew has 40+ years of experience working with windows and Anita is an absolute pleasure to deal with. The work did take some time to organise since it was a very busy period, but the ranch slider now glides very smoothly and all windows are properly sealed which has made a difference. Very happy with the work. Thanks Andrew and team!

Made 3 appointments and spoke to Andrew on the phone. Never showed up, no apology or communication of any kind. Waste of time.

I SPOKE TO ANDREW AT NIGHT AND HE WAS THERE THE NEXT MORNING. COMPLETED BOTH JOBS IN QUICK TIMING.i CALLED ABOUT AN ACCOUNT AND HE SAID THE JOB WAS ON THE HOUSE THE JOB DIDNT TAKE LONG.

Very impressed with Andrew. He came to measure last Thursday and had toilet window made and installed by last Friday. Tidied up and left after cleaning everything up. Awesome service indeed.

Made a time for a repair on a Thursday for Friday. Had to go through his wife to do this. Said they were at 2 jobs but would call in for a quote on the way to the second one. Didnt give a time, waited all day, left messages and sent texts. By 4.45pm called them said they would be an hour, by 8.30pm hadn't heard from them so pulled the plug and said don't bother. Waste of time, no communication. Don't use these people!

This guy is a nutter! Went flying past us tooting in his van at 70+ km/h. Yelling something out the window at all of the cars.

They made a time to call and give a quote, then they were late and phoned and tried to fob us off but we told him we waited all day so in the end he came, took one look at the ranch slider said he couldn't do anything asked for our email address and the next day sent us a bill $97.75! And when we talked to him about it he was abusive and sent us the most awful text about people like us who live in Devonport!

Beware! Andrew (The Window Doctor) did not show up twice. Did not text or call to say he couldn't make it, just did not bother showing up. Very frustrating organising access from the tenants. I went with another company in the end. Absolute waste of my time.

While slightly unconventional The Window Dr aka Andrew is very skilled in his craft of fixing joinery. He has access to a variety of glass, rubbers and hardware. He simply gets the job done and says it how it is which I like.

I recommend The Window Dr for those who want the job done with no bs.

I recently needed help with a Ranchslider door - and went to the large companies that we all use - but found we were a low priority and the service offered was appalling.

In desperation to find someone to take on the job I came across THE WINDOW DOCTOR - when I check the references they were not great and he admitted there had been challenges in the past.

BUT to his credit, he came when he said he would and did a job for me at very short notice

The job was well done and the price was fair - therefore I would recommend him to you all for this reason

Drives like an idiot he ran through a red light beside me at speed when id been sitting at the red light for at least 10 seconds.
I rang him he addmitted to running the light but called me a f.k winger as he thinks it ok to break the speed limit and run through red lights.

I came across this guy in a car park driving his branded van. I was minding my own business, he started beeping and cursing at me. He then drove past and called me a N***** (I’m a third generation kiwi of Indian decent) get your facts right

Very rude and abnoxious (possibly suffers from Tourette’s?), and seems to have trouble driving his van. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this company

Recently had Belinda work on my windows - new stays, handles and rubbers. Reasonable price and worked like a Trojan. No cowboys on this crew.
