Thornton Auctions reviews
28 My mother and l called several times, and left a message on the contact me. No response whatsoever.
It would have been nice to have a callback to say they don't want our custom.
They lock your account, fail to reply your emails, and fail to do anything when you call them.
Great team onsite, very helpful and efficient.
Limited parking.
Love the online auctions.
Highly don't recommend Thornton auctions as they fail to let you know if the item is not working but have the cheek to talk it up on auction night what are joke.it was obvious the watch was not working does not take long to be able to tell.
We wish we had check their reviews before.the stuff they're selling is considered rubbish you're better off going to trade me. I doubt that was a police auction.
Very bad experience.
They don’t have a sense to talk over the call.
I am in hospital and in the serious problem and forget to collect the item.get the call from them and lady shouted on me.
Such a dumb service by Thornton auction.
I am thinking to take a action on them.
Had an issue with an item - sent an e mail and waited 5 days but heard nothing so rang them. Was told it would be passed onto the correct person and they would come back to me in a day or so. After another 3 days of no contact I rang again and got passed around to various people. In the end gave up.hopeless service.
I been on Thornton auctions for well over 3 years.i can't log in anymore and no one is saying me why? Since the new owners took over things have changeda lot.
Recommend always viewing the items before you bid. You’d think that because some things should be thrown in the rubbish and not auction it off with only one photo that doesn’t really show the real condition of the item…always view, and always test before bidding. Thornton owner & staff, it something is useless and should go in the rubbish, please don’t auction it cause even photos doesn’t really show its real condition.
Love Thorntons Mt Wellington, the staff are always so friendly & helpful from the front desk out to the Warehouse pickup area.
Overall good experience. Lots of objects to choose from. One of the preferred auction places. Some operational issues but overall recommended.
Polite and patient staff, always very helpful and accomodating. Great auctions. Parking sometimes a bit of a challenge but lately been easy.
Great people. Picked up and everything was ready. All contactless. Will be buying again as I found it cheap, easy and professional. Thanks so much guys
The lady at reception is always friendly with a big smile. Always pick up a great bargain here as well
I am a regular at the Thornton Monday and Thursday auctions. There are many bargains to be had at prices you should be happy with. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Keep your eye out for the monthly police recovered goods auction, they are where the best stuff is to be found.
Don't return calls when trying to arrange a pickup time and then are rude. Organization and politeness could be much improved.
Infested with dirty tricks. Fake bidders to drive the price up and max on your absentee bids and other stuff. Not a genuine auction.
Very average service - took over 2 months to sell 11 boxes of goods and then I had to constantly email them asking for updates and payments. The sales results I got for the goods were not worth the effort.
Would pay to look at things before buying, when I picked up my stuff it wasn't what I thought if was.
Dangerous place to go when you have a habit of buying things you don't need.
They have a friendly team who are happy to let you look at the merchandise or you can just bid online and pop in to pick up your loot.
Most horrible experience. They lie outright. Bought a kindle that never turned on. Paid online but could not go to pick it up. My hubby went to pick the item up as I was in the hospital. When I checked the item later it never turned on. When emailed about the matter I received a phone call from the most rude and unprofessional lady on the phone that the auction just listed the item and never stated anything more. Well any one with a sane mind will expect that if there is an issue that the listing clearly states that otherwise it is always safe to assume that the device works fine. When explained her my situation she bluntly said too bad if you were in the hospital, it is not our problem. I can challenge that no one will bother to reply this comment as this is obviously not a 5 star rating but guys can't believe you rip innocent people off.
