Tile Depot Lunn Ave

This is so amusing. I needed some slate tiles to replace a few old damaged ones. I appreciate good slate tiles are now rare and the server said he did not know what they were. So I asked for lookalike slate tiles about a foot square. The server then announced that he didn’t have a clue about how much a foot measured, except for his own foot. He proceeded to measure tiles with his own foot. I despair. Btw, very small selection of outdoor tiles. However, I’ve upgraded my stars as on my next visit I found a man extremely helpful on the best cleaning and polishing products for tiles.

Ive used this Tile Depot a few times over the last couple of years. They have a great selection at good prices and very helpful staff. Danell and Lizel were very helpful with a couple of flooring issues I needed advice on. Lizel even called one of their tiling tradies, Tyrone, who was very happy to give me advice over the phone. Terrible service. Lazy didnt want to help at all. I had a 5 bathrooms for a new build to tile up and no suggestions or help at all what soever. When i asked for help they made all sorts of excuses not to help.
Why bother, walked right out straight away. This one in particular was the store in Lunn Ave. Rude South African lady.

A disastrous customer service. They have a policy of 4 people inside the store. I have no problem with that. However there's no one at the entrance to let the customers know how many people inside. We came in yesterday (Saturday) and the asian lady instead of saying any greetings almost barked at us: "You can't come in, wait outside". No "hi", no "PLEASE wait outside" and no manners. The tone of her voice was completely unacceptable. By the way when we got in it was 6 people inside and not 4. So, they can be a rude egg to their customers but they can't follow their own protocols.

Lizel and her team helped us refitting our new bathroom tiles and we absolutely love the way it looks now so a big shout-out to the team in Lunn Ave for the excellent service!

Absolutely useless. Young girl behind reception counter literally did not want to help, or move to show tiles. Lazy and the worst experience. Shame as they used to be excellent when they had there last store in Panmure. They’ve gone from one extreme to the other. Go to Tile Space instead. Good service there.

I would highly recommend Tile Depot Lunn Ave. We had exceptional help from everyone especially Jack who showed true knowledge of all the products we enquired about for our floor tiling for our kitchen. We had popped in numerous times and he had acknowledged we were on a return visit. We had tried another tiling place and it cemented that Tile Depot was the place to go as the other place seemed to want to push their ideas to you, and did not have samples on hand. But at the tile depot you could take home samples there on the spot and you had a week to decide.but they are flexible and quite happy if you wanted longer. I also asked for recommendations for a tiler.though they are not affiliated with these guys the person recommended off the list has done an exceptional job of the tiling - so thought I would do a shout out to Bookie.

Nice tidy and well presented store. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, good range of floor coverings, more than just tiles.

We recently bought tiles for our pool renovation and after looking around found the Tile Depot in Lunn Avenue. They were welcoming and easy to be with and we walked out having purchased our gorgeous tiles very happy with the service from Pam and the team. The experience was friendly, relaxed and non pushy but they really knew their stuff and were able to guide us to the right tile type for our purpose. The follow up communication and service was faultless and I am happy to say the tiles are laid and look amazing. We are about to launch into more renovations so see you when the plans are in!
